How does you game fit the theme?
Some platforms aren't real, so you have to check which ones are real and which ones aren't, adding a small layer of difficulty and depth to regular platforming.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, except for:
two materials (both from ambientcg.com)
sound effects (either public domain, or credited in the menu)
(By sound effects, I don't mean music, that I made my own.)

hello i thought purple guy was my grandma but when i tried hug they kill me my grandma was not real i sad
:( oh no...
Fun little game!
Had a great time jumping around swinging my sword at baddies. :D
The theme implementation was a pretty good idea!
Really liked the custom music and also huge bonus points for a settings menu!
Thank you for the kind words!
This was fun to play! I enjoyed the movement of the sword, it was jerky or anything like that. I found the parkour really engaging :)
Hey I'm glad! Thank you for playing!
For such a movement heavy game I was surprised at how many components there were to traversal! I had my hand in a claw shape activating all my left hand buttons XD
This felt super smooth, I really like the visuals too for how smooth they were, you added a lot of depth and satisfying elements like the motion blur and lighting etc.
I figured out a way to abuse the wall jump, which was quite fun lol. Overall good entry! I enjoyed this game.
It was an interesting setup too, you managed to keep surprising one stage at a time.
Thank you for the kind words!
This was a really fun one! The platforming felt smooth, and the challenges all had variety. This probably had the best wall jumping of any 3d game I've encountered in this jam, and I found it a lot of fun to interact with the levels. The main thing I'd consider tweaking is the control scheme, as some of the challenges felt a little awkward to handle whenever I had to use multiple actions. But regardless, this was a very fun experience; great work!
Good idea, I may tweak the controls a bit, maybe add keybinds.
Thank you for the feedback tho!
I had a lot of fun with this game. The enemies could use some animations, and I don't think they should injure you upon contact because the player is using a sword, which makes the fights very tedious. The boss at the end could use some more moves, and he shouldn't damage you when he touches you, he should perform an attack when he's caught up to you.
I found the it is not real mechanic to be quite useless because you can use it an infinite number of times without penalty. There needs to be a limit to that mechanic, so that players have to memorize the platforms that are real, rather than being allowed to spam it all they want. The platforming was fun, but I think the number of wall jumps you can use in succession should be fewer. If you keep going with this game, this might become popular in the speed-running community.
I hope to see a finished build of this game some time.
Thanks for the feedback!
I agree with you on most of the topics, I'll look into fixing and reworking all of this after the jam.
Thanks for the feedback!
Great game! But should add an option to adjust sensitivity and maybe consider making the hp 50 instead of 5 and make everything deal 10x the damage cause it would just look better(in my opinion)
This was really fun!
The gameplay was so fun, jumping around, running on the walls, it was amazing. The game also has cutscenes, music, great visuals (even if they are simple), it is a whole game and that's really nice to see. I look forward to see if you will make this game bigger because I had a great time with it, congrats!
Thank you so much! :D I'll definitely improve it after the jam!
Pretty funny game. The movement feels real nice, especially with wall jumping. Sword combat feels maybe less good, but it works. I feel like a version of this that focuses more on just the fast-moving platforming and checking for fake platforms would be a lot of fun.
I had a couple technical issues that are probably worth mentioning. One time I glitched out of the level and I was just stuck falling. Implementing a check for that to reset the player if they fall would be helpful.
Also, there's this one issue that I see with a lot of Unreal Engine games where if you have a VR headset plugged in, it tries to launch in VR which makes it not playable. I was able to play it with a small workaround (Setting "-nohmd" as a launch parameter). I don't use unreal but it may be worth checking if there's an option to make it not launch in VR. It's weird but it might just be some default to change since as mentioned, a lot of Unreal games have this problem.
Otherwise though, this is one of my favourites from the jam so far. I like the style and the movement feels great. Good job :)
Thanks for the feedback!
I had no idea Unreal had a problem with VR like this, I'll look into it. I suppose it's just enabled somewhere.
I'm glad you at least got to the boss, and thanks!
Just rated your game, it was so fun to play, congrats! If you can rate my game too, i'd be so grateful, thank you!
Thank you, and yes I will!
This game reminds me of Carlson by Dani and wow! The movement feels really solid! Impressive you made this movement controller in a week! Hope you keep working on this and add some more levels!
You're right! It was very inspired by Dani's RE:RUN.
And I'l definitely improve this after the jam.
Thanks!
this is a very nice and fun game also the theme fit very well!
Thank you :3
It's very good! I like the movement you have. It could be really great with a bit of polish.
The wall jumping feels good... but you can definitely exploit it. In the 2nd (?) level I just wall jumped all the way around the room, avoiding all obstacles.
I thought that having to press "Q" to see the real platforms was a bit of a needless distraction. But after a while I realized that the platforms which are or aren't real actually change when you die, which makes this mechanic pretty neat - every time you play the level, it is slightly different. I'd love if you leaned more in this direction.
There are a few visual bugs, though: a lot of shadows without bodies for no apparent reason.
I enjoyed it a lot. Congratulations!
Nice little platformer you did there. I enjoyed the parkour elements with the walljumping mechanic. Its a bit glitchy i think and you can avoid a lot of obstacles, espcially in level 3. But doing so feels a lot of fun. Maybe focusing the game around this mechanic and feeling could be benefical for the game
Graphics are simple. The lighting could use some improvement to greatly increase the visuals.
The controls were ok.
There are a few glitches (in level 3 you can fall into the lava, and get out of bounds while jumping on the wall)
It needs some improvement but i enjoyed my time.
Thank you for the feedback!
Didn't manage to do the shift+c slide part but otherwise was really good implementation of the theme (with the Q button), but otherwise great take on it!
Thanks! It's a shame you didn't get further, I didn't realise that the sliding part could be difficult for others.
but is a good game, is like elden ring part 2
BRO I THOUGHT I FIXED THAT
