  • Was a bit strange that arrows can be used in the main menu but not in-game
  • Sometimes hard to see the ground (is brown on lighter brown tiles)
  • Levels felt empty for the most part
  • Abilities found were really great tho!
  • Sound / VFX feedback was sweet
  • Some open areas (to the edge of the screen) were not actually allowing the player to continue (although it looked like an opening)
  • Nice touch with the faint lighting where an opening to another section / level was available
  • Buried Kingdom with the darkness was really neat as well!

With some inspiration taken from Hollow Knight, made Relics of The Past one of my favorite games that i tried out in this jam, great job pulling this off!

Really polished experience, awesome stuff!

  • Wasn't very clear if the actions (that are not attacks) are taken when i play them or at the end of my turn (took me a second to understand how it works)
  • Didn't get the full meaning of the Purge (and purging 3 cards at the end of each turn)
  • Next button allowed you to skip some actions that felt like they were required
  • Great that you could hover pretty much anything and get more info (some Legend-like details on the main map would be nice so you wouldn't always need to hover)
  • Unsure what was the main goal (except moving on the map / board)
  • Cozy boardgame feeling

Overall, this can easily be a full game with a bit more tweaks / polish, gg!

  • Cool character and art style
  • Was nice to hear some sound when doing actions as well (i.e. jumping)
  • Jumping made the sprite smaller (or at least felt that was the case)
  • Falling off the ledge on the left side of the screen would make you infinitely fall without restarting the game
  • Gun shooting water was nice but sprite got stuck on the water squirting out sprite
  • Couldn't find anything else to do then go left and right and avoid the white rectangle, but can for sure build up more metroidvania mechanics on top of this

Good early build, keep at it!

  • Some issues with transforming from mouse to back to human in small spots (getting stuck)
  • Was a bit difficult to find the controls
  • Shift (crouch) was moving the camera altogether, could create motion-sickness
  • Awesome art and animation on most things
  • When enemies are close to you / attacking you, collision goes a bit bananas...
  • Unsure how to continue past the 2nd room (where the first enemy was at)...went and got the ability then down again, but at the (what i presume is) the checkpoint, i can't see a way past that (either that or getting to the high platform at the top)
  • The controls could get some tweaks as well (jump / ranged weapon throw)
  • Could use some sound feedback

Really cool theme and art, nice take on the genre!

  • Could tweak things a bit, since its hard to "survive" the onslaught of enemies present on the map.
  • Was a nice touch to add a map (staple of a metroidvania)
  • Unsure if there were areas you could explore via a new found ability, but sadly i couldn't find any
  • Collectibles were also a good addition
  • Some sound / music would have added a bit more feedback to the game / world

Overall, cool platformer! And on mobile too, great job!

Following the rabbit was a nice way to tutorialize the base mechanics, combat was a bit janky, music was a nice touch to add to the atmosphere and it was good to include the controls. Overall, nicely done, felt pretty darn polished for a game jam!

I liked the premise but failed short handed to get the stuff Lilith wanted...felt like i went everywhere for stuff (the tea pot?) but couldn't find it...Would be good to have some details on the controls / objective (if only for a glance at the start). Also the walk speed was a bit slow. Overall, nice atmospheric stuff (via sound, VO even the graphics) !

Nicely done with the art and sound! Gameplay was interesting, though it was a bit difficult to get to ramp that goes in a loop! I like that you left some instructions for the controls as well.

The sounds were great as well as the art! Didn't manage to understand what is the purpose of the game though...

Can definitely see the theme being implemented in your game (loop), though it was not clear to me how to break the loop or what each action does (no matter what route i took). Interesting genre to go with also!

Just some advice: if anyone needs to go through several hoops to even get to boot your game...you'll get very little feedback on the game you built. Consider bundling up the game for anyone (without any prerequisites to try it out) or at least some clear instructions on how to launch it.

Couldn't get past the first menu...was promising with all the menu work and details but i believe the issue was in the window / game not scaling properly (tried full screen as well, still couldn't see the lower half of the screen). Text was also cut in the Help section.

Wasn't sure what i needed to do (rather than getting that beam out of me every few seconds that seemed to melt some things in the level, i guess in order to progress). Didn't manage to get past the enemy also (maybe adding some instruction on what to do).

Nice concept, but need more explanation on what's the target / goal of the game (maybe controls too). Also consider toning down a bit the crazy physics 😜

Thought i was being dense...but i got it eventually! Great job on the theme and mechanics, different but worked nicely, really enjoyed playing it! Would be good to add some basic instructions though...

Nice take with allowing users to change their 2 colors! I wondered around the level, but found nothing to do but shoot at the walls or pillars...unsure what i was to collect...Visual filter was interesting but felt hard on the eyes after a bit.

Cute platformer, didn't knew how to continue past the skull gate, although i got the double jump and tried to get to the other top platforms...music was a bit repetitive but had a good beat there!

Unfortunately i didn't manage to run your .py file (not that savy with Python either...).

Nice idea! Bit hard to grasp in the start what to do, but you get the hang of it shortly...unsure if there was another way then just finding energy icons to get more energy...

Good level design and greatly integrated with the theme. Great job assembling all of it!

Many thanks for the feedback and trying out the game!

Apreciate you trying it out! Nice take on your game as well!

Game was a bit lite on the interaction (would have been good to display the controls somewhere too) but the music and general atmosphere was unsettling so that was nicely done!

Thank you for trying it out! Just at my beginning of my journey in UE but might try to add more if manage...

Nice take on the theme and easy to learn gameplay. More memes more stars 😂! Great job overall!

It's a very basic concept but im learning more UE as i go and i just might! Cheers!

Awesome game and take on the theme, really enjoyed playing it!

Didn't manage to do the shift+c slide part but otherwise was really good implementation of the theme (with the Q button), but otherwise great take on it!

Didn't realize it would have performance issues (its my first UE game jam), will investigate, thanks for the feedback and trying it out!

  • Some bugs when trying to camp (couldn't click the camp button) or maybe some mechanic i didn't understand
  • Nice take on the theme
  • Map edges should be marked better since i was going towards and edge (unknowingly)
  • Grid seems a bit bugged out
  • Controls were lacking = LMB to move 1 grid at a time
