How does you game fit the theme?
Don’t is the embodiment of the theme ‘It is not real’ as it exaggerates those concocted childhood warnings to show how nonsensical they truly are. Each level has a clear “don’t” statement that must be breached, causing a dramatic transition to the imaginary world that children envision as the consequence. The game is an overarching lesson that many of the warnings parents give children ‘are not real.’

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Don’t was created from scratch with all code and most models being sourced from the core development team. The exception was the playable character Timmy, whose model and animations were source from ‘Mixamo.com.’ Many of the other models’ textures were sourced from the Megascans library and are covered by the personal license owned by one of the team members. All sound was sourced from uncopyrighted websites like ‘freesound.org.’

What a well done game! I liked your take on the theme very much! Great graphics, great audio, overall the game is so polished! I had to give it the highest rating I gave in this game jam!
Great job and good luck in your future projects! :)
Thank you so much! We really appreciate it :)
What a great entry! The graphics looked great, giving off a more playful feel (which made the shift in each level feel more impactful). I also like how each level was based off of a childhood superstition/game, making it really feel like it's from a child's perspective. The only trouble I encountered was that the camera seemed to lock after the level became darker, which really only affected the first level in terms of difficulty. The game itself looks great, and was a blast to play!
Thanks for the feedback, we are glad you liked it :)
Creative concept executed very well. I especially liked the pool and bed levels.
The graphics are great. When the mood shifts mid-level, the change in lighting accentuates the new atmosphere very well.
The jump felt a bit stiff, but otherwise the controls are very good.
I think the ant level said "Press E to pick up" even though you're stomping on an ant.
Also, HOW'D YOU GET THE FIRST FIVE LETTERS OF MY EMAIL?? HELLO???
Thank you so much for playtesting and leaving a feedback! We are glad you found it enjoyable.
No need to worry at all, the name at the end is just your Windows username retrieved through something along the line of
System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Name;
It's a great submission loved the character
Thanks! Mixamo is a god send in game jams :')

it look freaking amazing ! Great work.
thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
it looks good its a nice idea! maybe you need one more day to finish keep it up!!!
thank you! Yeah it was a bit of a rush, but thats the fun of game jams 😜
It looks great and I like that you use it to implement different simple and engaging mechanics based on the imagination of a kid.
Well done!
thanks so much for supporting the game :)
Controls were rather sluggish when contrasting the urgency of the timer. Audio would not work after interacting with the volume slider. Each level is unique and has a creative twist on childhood imagination. There is a lot of potential left on the table...or under the bed in regards to where this project could go.
thank you for the feedback. We will look at refining gameplay and audio settings in the future :)
Haha awesome. The floor is lava game! Loved it.
wicked! Thanks so much :D
I love the contrast between the real world and the fake world! this game does a great job showing childhood imagination/ fears. The ending creeped me out lol. Awesome graphics and sound design! Great job!
Thank you!
Excellent game I really enjoyed it. Brought me right back to my childhood. Very nice job! I rated for you as well hope you will check out my game as well! :)
Thank you so much! Yours is an awesome game. Good luck!
What an awesome entry to the jam! The music when the scene transitions to the "other" world is too good!
Thank you very much!
The game looks great but the camera doesn't rotate
is this part of the game or it is an issue?
Thank you for playing our game!
The camera doesn't usually lock itself but we are looking into the issue at the moment. Thank you for letting us know.
Loved the Graphics and was very fun. only issue i had was with the camera not really responding or being a bit slow to respond, but everything else ran smoothly. gave that eery feeling and everything. loads of fun once i figured out the position i needed my camera in for the dont jump on the furniture. overall it was great! loved it and would love to see expansion and further development on it!
Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the insightful comment.
We are sorry for the issue with the camera. It is very weird and very uncommon... Was the camera unresponsive on the other levels too? or just the furniture one?
it was all of them, just that one was the most noticeable and crucial to whether i passed or failed
We hope to figure it out soon and release an update after the jam. Again, thank you for your help.

Thank you! Im so glad you liked it :)
Very well executed and the concept is actually really interesting, the file was pretty big but outer than that it was a great game.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Optimising is tricky in a jam :') We will definitely be looking to do that once the jam is finished though!
