Addicting gameplay, very Lethal Company with the Quota system.

Loved the art, sound, and dialogue from the queen just insulting your billy.

Great Job!

This one is really fun!! It was pretty addicting not going to lie, I was definitely invested in becoming my best bug self lmao. The only thing that held up my run was the occasional army of mega bugs that would spawn right at  the door,if there was more time, maybe finding a way to let the player begin in a direction before getting attacked could be nice.

All that being said, this is an incredible amount of work to put in for such a short amount of time, I am confident there are things that I did not see, and that's awesome! It makes the game feel very large.

Very well done to you, you should feel proud!

Really addictive game, the VFX on adding number is highly satisfactory! With a bit of polish in the UI for the goals (Mostly making the timer stand out a bit more) and animations for the characters would be great additions

This was really awesome! The shooting mechanics feel really good, the style is well executed and consistent, and the gameplay loop plays into the theme quite beautifully as well. It's really quite impressive what you've done as a single developer.

I do think the base ground texture makes the player blend in a bit too much. The white border helps, but decreasing the contrast a bit could help as well. The only other minor detail I would mention would be that it could be good to make the timer more prominent at the bottom of the screen. I went in the first time having accidentally missed the last couple lines of the queen's dialogue and I completely missed the timer lol. That's on me for not finishing out the dialogue, but it could still be good to add some more cues to tell the player to get back when the time is running out since resetting the game can be a bit punishing.

Either way, fantastic work!

Really had a blast with this one! At first I was confused on what to do but once I figured out that I had to go back to the base section within the timer I had loads of fun! One thing that I think you could add that could be a double edged sword is an arrow pointing towards your base the player could find the base more easily but it will also make it feel safer to move further from the base that would cause more hectic run towards the base when the timer does go down.

I cannot believe what i just played! Before seeing u were solo i even thought this was done by an oversized time like 4 or 6. It had one of the best aesthetics ive seen in the jam whether art, for every bug, bomb animations, intro or general tileset and audio was really satisfying too. Queen ant introducing the game and having random ass quotes for skipping felt really nice. Just a suggestion on tileset: using regions would be a massive improvement on map quality. Really Well Done!!!

Also in a run i had multiple perks of bullet multiplier and also multiple rubberduck. so i was shooting in a random way and even before entering the screen all kinds of enemies were just perishing before seeing me. 2000$ was easy to earn just in a tour. And also some boundaries didnt count for me, like i was going through walls. cuz i think i was too fast or it might be becuz of bullets cuz i entered walls when shooting. i got some footage, i can upload if you want.

I really loved the game, the concept itself and it's execution are near flawless! I liked the shop and the upgrades, some of which are rather creative and the addition of new types of bugs as the game goes on was unexpected, but extremely welcome! The only thing I didn't like was that the queen's dialogue at the very beginning was extremely long and I had to read through it in its entirety to fully grasp the gameplay, so I'm glad you added a skip button for future runs. Other than that, amazing game, with a pinch of humor too! Crazy you managed to make this gem in 7 days solo!! :0

I have played other games in this genre that I didn't like, but I really enjoyed this one.

I did have a couple of frustrations:

  1. At first I was a bit confused. When I leave the queen, the path gets blocked off, and it wasn't clear that once I complete my goals, it will be opened again. I was looking for entrances in other places.
  2. The first level is almost the hardest, because of how few enemies there are. Multiple times I ended up not finding 3 enemies, or not having enough time to get back. Maybe spawn some more enemies on the first level?

Anyway, great visual, fitting audio, and an enjoyable game play loop. Well done!

Nice one, I really liked how you did the UI for upgrades and mutations. SFX and art are great and work well together.  Solid entry!

This is a pretty fun game! The game loop felt pretty good, and the graphics are pretty neat! I loved the design of all the ants. Overall, this was a really fun and well made game. Maybe the only thing I would say is that the background didn't blend as nicely with  the characters, but apart from that its a pretty solid game!

I really liked how the mouse would slightly move the camera. It looked really good when in the menus. I loved the visuals and the music/sound effects. Overall a really great game. Awesome job!

All the assets from scratch? This looks great. The music's great too.

The upgrades are all meaningful and by the end, it was armageddon all around me. I could play this for hours. It's super fun. The amount of effects on the screen reminded me of Vampire Survivors, where by the end, it's pure mayhem. This game really hits that note.

I'd appreciate some kind of list of effects, since many of them aren't visible. Stuff like the speed buffs, how much extra time, attack speed, etc. I also need to be reminded when I have an effect that depends on killing 2 consecutive, etc., etc. It's still armageddon, but why is it armageddon ? :D

I sometimes got lost. Having some indicator for where the nest is would help. A different color, some hive stuff on the ground, an arrow, etc.

The queen's hillarious. Also, her upgrades are the funnest, since they give unique effects that change the gameplay. My personal favorites are the ones that spread the bullets.

This was really fun.

Great game - a lot of fun. Initially I couldn't figure out how to leave the store or that I had to return to the queen before the time ran out. But, I eventually did and it was more fun! Impressive for a 1-person team to do all the coding, art, and music!
