Played & rated!

Great job on the game -- really unique gameplay. There were a couple of times where I'd throw cookies at zombies and they'd hit (and bounce off) but didn't seem to do any damage.

Nice game with a creepy atmosphere. I would've like some mouse options to control the sensitivity and to invert the Y axis.

Played and rated! Nice job!

That was fun! Great job! :)

You already made it to 20, but one more couldn't hurt -- played and rated! I also left you some comments for suggested improvements on your game's page.

Great job! The controls were good, which is great for a platformer. I eventually got lost and couldn't figure out where to go -- I thought I was going the right way but teleporters just kept taking me back to the beginning -- so I couldn't get to the end of the game. Also, several times if my speed was too high I'd clip through the floor and get trapped inside (I would have to restart) -- so maybe adding a max speed to your character might prevent that (or increasing the physics tick rate. Some music would be nice -- free CC0 licensed tracks can be had in a lot of places (e.g. freesound.org). Also, I noticed some of your sprites had black backgrounds that would draw over other enemies, etc -- it'd be nice for those parts of the sprites to be transparent.

I loved Mastermind as a kid, so I always enjoy a game like this -- well done! Some background music would add a little something -- there are many CC0 licensed tracks on the net like freesound.org, etc.

Great job! At one point Cotton was down to a few pennies and I bought hundreds of shares and when it eventually got a good news report I made tens of thousands. I think I would've made millions if I could've just held down the mouse button (instead of clicking as fast as I could) -- so that might be something nice to add. I really like the music!

Played and rated! Nice job!

I like the light/dark gameplay and the opening/final storyboards! Nice job for a single person team.

A couple bugs I noticed were that after dying, the game appears to "replay" the dying sequence once before resetting the nearest "save point". Also, I did lose health while clearly in the shadows behind a box/barrier with several of the rotating lights.

Played and rated! Nice job with a retro style point and click adventure!

I got to the cookie wagon in the desert! I like the ole point and click adventures. :) Nice job.

It started off slow for me because I missed that the tutorial was on the screenshots on your page and not in the game. But, I got the hang of it by the 3rd or 4th round. I stayed for the humor and to see if I could crash the game. ;) I got to level 100 and had over 700 characters on screen -- still runs! XD

If you don't mind me asking, what program/software did you use to compose your music?

Hamza,

Thank you for the kind words and thank you for playing/rating -- you help push me over the 20 rating threshold! I played and rated your game as well -- below are the comments I posted on your page:

Fantastic game! I like the low poly models, they were a great choice not just for the aesthetics but also because you had to make so many models for you game (enough to fill a store, buildings, playground -- pretty much a whole city block!). The fact that you composed the music in addition to the models and code was imporessive. Well done! For the controls, I do wish you had a setting to invert the Y axis -- I'm an inverted Y axis player and it made navigation a little harder.

Played and rated! Only 5 more to get you to 20!

Nice game with a simple concept and well-suited to the theme. The leaderboard is integration is also nice to add a little competition. I'm not sure what the box of donuts (?) upgrade was for -- I initially thought it was a shield, but then I died to one of the enemies while using it.

I've got a few hours, and I want those of us under 20 ratings to get to 20! If you've got a game under 20 ratings let me know and, for the next few hours (if it's playable in browser), I'll play and rate. :)

Like most of you, my game has under 20 ratings (18) and I'm looking for 2 more!

Please give mine a try -- it's about 5 minutes long and playable in browser.

Here's mine -- if you can survive 2 minutes in-game, then you battle Gravy and finally get your biscuits!

Here's mine! Survive 2 minutes in-game to fight gravy then get to your biscuits

Here's mine, thanks! Survive 2 minutes in-game to fight gravy and get to your biscuits!

Check out my game here: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-14/rate/3842276

I still have only 15 ratings, so I'm looking for another 5 to put me into consideration! :)

Thanks for playing! The theme, mentioned in the cutscene, is that a tab of butter is risking his life to make it to his destiny (biscuits). After battling silverware and defeating gravy, he makes it to the biscuit! :)

Played and rated! Nice job -- impressive for a 1-person team to get all the art, sound, and coding done.

Great game - a lot of fun. Initially I couldn't figure out how to leave the store or that I had to return to the queen before the time ran out. But, I eventually did and it was more fun! Impressive for a 1-person team to do all the coding, art, and music!

Here's mine! Only 11 ratings so far -- it's a web game and takes 5 minutes to playthrough.

Nice game -- loved the retro theme. I would've like to be able to hold down the shoot button instead of constantly clicking. Also, when I expanded to full screen it appeared like the "difficultly" selection (getting the orb) was slightly off screen and hard to see/get.

Played and rated! Awesome game! :)

Well done -- great game and impressive with just one person!
