I have never seen this kind of game any where! Really nice way to control the character on a top down view, the sound effects are really nice, the art style is original too! Well done!!

Developer

Thanks so much and congrats on your game, I am going to be reviewing it tomorrow. Cheers

The concept is really nice, it fits the theme really well!

The art is very good but i could see behind the floor somtimes, like the skybox color. I would love some other way of controlling the golems around, i didn't use the shift key very often because it just made me a bigger target that can't move.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Shift was so useless haha. It was originally intended for a sheep herding death spiral ability (hold right mouse) but it didn't transfer well. I'll have to fix the clipping in the floor too, this is the third comment regarding tht. Cheers!

You got a decent thing going here. I'm a huge fan of pixel art with 3D art style, so keep doing it! It needs some polish, as sometimes you could see through the floor or sometimes my golems would just explode everywhere? A more proper tutorial is already mentioned by other comments so I'm sure you're aware. There's a lot of polish to be done, but I think this could be a fun little roguelite with some enemy and golem variety!

Developer

I’m glad you can see some potential with extra golem types! Yes a tutorial level is well in order, and I’ll be doing the quality of life improvements after the jam. Thanks for checking out the game.

It took me a bit to figure out the perspective at first but once I did it was a cute game. I spent a while thinking there was another breach elsewhere before figuring it out. Nice sounds for sure too!

Developer

thanks so much for playing Michael! I think this is one of the most reoccurring feedback I’ve gotten so I’ll add it to my tool belt moving forward to prevent too close of a camera, and maybe to introduce the level in a cutscene so players can know where to escape. Thanks again, future updates will include an arrow pointing to the breach haha

Interesting mix of 2d and 3d art, the gameplay was fun and I'm curious to see how it could have been expanded with some more time, different enemies and more ways to control your golems would have been cool, good job!

Developer

Cheers David, and yes we had more golems and hazards planned but time ran out! thx so much for playing our game.

At first the top down 2.5 was a bit head spinning. Though once my eyes adjusted it felt pretty nice to get the game mechanic down. I was struggling to find more golems. I really wanted more little dudes.

I think polishing and working on a better way for the golems to attack would help.

Also maybe different types of golems?

Developer(+1)

These are great items of feedback, and yes more golems would be so fun, rock, lava, iron! I'll have to adjust spawn rates of nodes to let people build bigger armies faster. Thank you for playing and your objectivity!

Submitted

Really cool perspective. Super satisfying to break a rock with multiple goblins surrounding it!

Developer

Thanks for playing, I liked your game! Any plans to keep working on it

The starting perspective was a bit confusing, made it seem like a different game and not a wasd game, but besides that visuals were absolutely amazing! and gameplay was fun too

Developer

Thank you for playing! I'll be checking yours out now. Yeah this is a common problem people are having but I'm glad you were able to at least play still, thanks.

Interesting perspective. I was confused in the beginning (I guess the camera is clipping through something?) I guess the point is to gather as many golems as you can and get the heck out of dodge? As others have mentioned some ways to introduce the games mechanics to the player would be nice. All of my Golems suddenly died I guess and I had no idea way. Great use of lighting, I loved the visuals.

thank you first off for taking the time to play and give feedback! Yes that’s the intended gamer ooo, but as you said, it’s not very clear and tutorial area would have helped, I just ran out of time haha.

Submitted(+1)

I get it haha, I think we submitted our final version like 30 minutes before the dead line lol. Keep it up!

Submitted

At the beginning i didnt understand when the player died and it took some time to understand what is going on, but the visuals and the game feel are amazing!

Developer(+1)

You are not alone there lol. Thanks for playing, I was curious to see how many unit sizes people could extract with!

Submitted

Took me a second to figure out, but great game!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad to hear. Main problem seems to be unclear objectives but it meant a lot that you pushed through to find them anyways, thanks. Now just get a 100 unit snake haha

Submitted

Intresting artstyle with the mixing of pixel art and 3d! Gameplay it's simple but a refreshing take on snake, good job!

Developer

Cheers, and great work on your own game!

Gameplay feels great and gathering golem army is satisfying! Navigating through the level is bit hard, maybe the camera is bit too close or something. Good job!

Developer

Claustrophobic indeed, I submitted with 2 hours to go and not enough time haha. Thank you so much for playing my game it means a lot and it's been a long week.

Submitted

In general playing this game feels satisfying however there are several major flaws.
Shadows make the map not clear enough so it's not so easy to navigate. Also maybe it's me but I didn't understand objective of game. I think you should have added more strict goals.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I've been hearing the objective isn't clear so I know we didn't do our best there lol. I was hoping people would find the breach and understand tht part, but I think more direction was required.

Very nice game!
i like the visuals a lot

Fun game and idea, really liked the army gathering system and the atmosphere.

Developer

Cheers, thank you Blaze!

Hey there ;) I love "Army-Games". So i realy like the golem idea. I needed quiet a long time to find out you exit exactly where you enter. I searched an escape for ages xD And a bigger enemy or achievment in the end would be nice to get a challenge ;) But this got potential - keep on developing!

Developer

hey thanks for playing my first game! Yeah after the jam is over I want to work on more unit types and better difficulty scaling. I’m glad you found the Breach soldier 🫡
