Played your game on stream. If you wanted to watch me go through it I've got the vod below timestamped to your game
Thanks for playing and for all the feedback! Im sure it will help us make the final game much more enjoyable.
The concept is interesting! I really like the red collapsing room system, though it made me panic a bit! Its gameplay is simple yet addicting, not to mention the sound effects are very satisfying. Some mechanics were confusing, it took some time for me to understand, and I finally managed to escape. I think you already know, but the main menu could use more polish to match the rest of the game. The buttons have a bit delay too. Also, this is just my opinion but maybe you can make the character face the direction of your cursor. So the player can just stand and still be able to attack in any direction. Overall, this is already impressive, I can see this getting expanded further with more room layouts, puzzles or enemy variants! Thank you for the fun experience!
Thanks for the feedback! The player facing the mouse cursor was something we thought about adding at the last minute, but didnt have time to add. Hopefully well get that in for the final version.
Cute game, would love to have a web version to quickly play in web. But well done!
Thanks for playing! Sadly since we made this in the .Net version of Godot 4 using C#, we cant do a web version. Definetly seems like something to consider for next time.
A short dungeon crawler with clear design intent and goals. A tutorial about the usage of blue potion (key), and the condition of red room (collapsing room) to appear would help with the learning curve for players who aren't familiar with this genre.
There is no audio, and buttons are delay in menu screen. Also leaving a room without clearing enemies will cause them to enter attacking intent loop (the red slime), and their attack sounds will extent forever until you come back and clear them.
Overall, still a great dungeon crawler/action entry!
Thanks for playing! The slime sounds definetly get annoying for sure, its on our bug list!
I love Pixel Games !
Thanks for playing!
Cool concept, not sure if it’s just me, but the sounds were slightly lagging.
Thanks for the feedback! I havent seen an audio bug yet, you might be the first. Thanks for letting us know.
Simple idea and fairly complex gameplay, gets more fun with more advanced room layouts!
Thanks for playing! I'm thinking we might try increasing the room size so we can make the rooms more complex.
Impressive work! It's fun and addictive, and graphics & sound are great!
The only thing I didn't liked is the main menu, which is lacking sound and the polish the game itself has.
Keep it up!
Thanks for the feedback! Sadly we found a major bug a couple hours before submitting that required us to go back to an older version with some missing parts of the main menu, and the entire pause menu. This is currently being worked on for the full release.
I should have the UI fixes implemented soon! and ill add some sounds now that the time pressure is off. Thanks for playing!
Probably the most fun game I've played so far, the concept fits the theme and the core mechanics are well constructed. This could easily be expanded and become a bigger project. Good job!
Thanks for playing! The current plan is to polish and expand the game for a few months, then release it on here. If we like the result enough, it could even lead to a full release on Steam!
Not sure what I was supposed to be doing after one of the rooms exploded. Felt like I hit a soft lock or something.
Hmm, its supposed to generate a new room after destroying so you can continue, sounds like a bug. Thanks for mentioning this, we will add it to the list of needed fixes for the full release!
Fun game overall. The room exploding was pretty interesting!
Thanks for playing! I really like the atmosphere in your game!
I enjoyed the concept, as well as the gameplay. Great job!
Thanks!
This game was both challenging and exciting. The audio and visuals were really well done as well. Great concept!
Thanks for playing!
That was a very fun experience! Could definitely expand as a roguelike dungeon crawler game, loved killing the slimes also!
Thanks for playing! Our current plan is to expand and polish the current game, then release it on here in a few months.
It gave me a nice satisfaction killing those slimes! Also nice addition of having to run and to use your telopartation in a smart way to escape! Nice game overall!
Thanks for playing!
I wasn't expecting it to be soo satisfying. And specially the focus on sound design got me hyped up. A well executed project for sure.
Thanks for playing!
I really liked the idea! It makes for a fun gameplay and dynamic exploration, I really like the concept of letting you continue if you heal yourself by grabbing a red potion, and not having to restart each time.
Our original plan was to heal the player every time they enter a new room, but this way you have to work for it. Thanks for playing!
Interesting game! Took a little bit of messing around to understand how the blue fire mechanic worked, couldn't tell right away what was happening. Managed to beat the game, liked the teleporting mechanic!
Yeah we noticed in testing that those "wait in an area" mechanics need some visual our audio indication of whats going on, sadly didnt get time to add those. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing!
I think this is a clever take on theme, pretty cool game good job
Thanks for playing!
The game feels good really like the fluid movement and damn the moment the room become red really race up my heart.
Haha good to know that mechanic suprises people, thats what we were hoping for.
