If you keep trying, nothing can go wrong :)
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The majority of the assets, such as sprites, tilsets, and most of the music, were free assets found here in itch.io, and credited in the description of the game.

Definitely one of the more fun games I've played this jam. Great job! Movement felt very smooth and audio and art fit very well together.
Thank you so much! Thanks for playing!
A good game for a first one. Good job.
Thank you!
Love it! On some checkpoints, I think, enemies should respawn and player have to kill them again. Also, in some places I was able just to avoid them. I don't know whether it is a design decision or unintended, but anyway, mentioning it. overall, great game!
Yeah you are right, my checkpoints are kinda buged haha. Thanks for playing!
Nice Job, I enjoyed playing the game!
In terms of feedback I think I would echo what others have mentioned here, it can be a little hard in parts to know what is background and what isn't background and having the ability to aim the shots a bit more would be ideal!
Congrats for completing a game and the game jam!
Thank you for playing! And yeah, the feedback is greatly appreciated :), and I totally agree with both those points haha. Thanks!
Great little game! You can just climb over every wall in the game by jumping (and get out of bounds right at the start) which might not be intended lol
Thanks a lot for playing! Yeah, I need to fix the wall bug where you can infinitly jump :(. But I did not know how to do it and had no time haha.
What a fun little platformer!! its a great first game to have, and I was encouraged by dad a lot haha thanks for sharing!
Thanks for playing! And yeah jaja, the dad is always an encouraging force :).
A classic platformer game! The player feels smooth and responsive to control, and the levels are well thought-out and well-designed.
I do wish you can aim your shot, but other than that, wonderful job!
Totally! I thought for this level design maybe aiming your shots would be too easy, but, I know it would feel a lot better, so I will 100% take it in that direction. Thanks for playing!
cool game !
Unfortunately the last boss wasn't attacking anymore on my second try. So i beat him easy.
Overall, it's great !
Thanks for playing! Yeah that problem is actually because my checkpoint system is a bit bugged :(, so, enemies are not healing between my player's deaths. You prob killed him right before dying, and when respawning he was already dead, or had only 1 hp left lol.
Sick game, fast, speedy. megaman like, really nice
The mushrooms are op
Thanks for playing! Hahaha megaman was my N°1 inspiration
I found the bird blocking projectile was fun ! And also i loved the forest decors. The level design was great too ! Good job on achieving this alone ! :)
Thanks for playing! Yeah, I would really like to expand in the bird idea, having upgrades making its area bigger, homing projectiles instead of being random, oribiting around the player and not only on top of him, etc. Thanks!
Level design was really impressive here! I think it was tough at times to figure out which tiles were background and which were foreground and at one point in the second level if you fall off it deals a single heart of damage and doesn't kill the player right away.
I love that the enemies like the mushroom duck and shield themselves that's really cool; and that the giant bat follows more aggressively when you hit them. The "upgraded" enemies idea is also well implemented with the darker bats.
Great job!
Woow thanks a lot for the comment! And I totally agree about the tiles haha, specially some sewer tiles in the second level. Really appreciate you playing :).
Cool game! I like the idea of the bird that it can block projectiles, and also the mushroom that shoots back. Unfortunately the second level (not counting the tutorial) was too hard for me(
Thanks! haha yeah I tried to make the second level a little bit harder. Thank you for playing!
Gorgeous little game. And for your first attempt this is very impressive. Controls are good and the level design is great. Well done.
Thanks!
Good level design. Control feels pretty good. I kept jumping on the background tiles in the area before the last boss. Maybe darkening the background tiles would be great. Nice work!
Thanks! I totally agree with the background tiles being confusing! Did not have time to fix it before posting it haha
The dad looks absolutely badass! 😂
I loved everything about it, but I’m unsure about the camera following the player. I feel a static camera with fixed movement might work better than the fluid one. Still, I really enjoyed it—great job!
Wow thanks for the tip! I'm new to this so I'll check it out 100%. Thanks for playing!
Checkout Rain world game for reference!
Nice work!!
Thanks!
Nice work ! i enjoyed it
Thank you!
I liked the movement and overall how the characters felt.
Particularly in Level 2, I sometimes had trouble distinguishing between the background and what’s not. But besides that, I had fun playing it! :D
Thanks for playing! And for the feedback, I agree! Some of the sewer tiles kind of blend with the background.
I like medieval platformers. Good visuals.
The game could benefit if the shooting mechanic has more control about the direction. So e.g. control of direction with the mouse or a wall bouncing option of the projectile to somehow shot on enemies not in the vertical direction. There was one enemy I could reach hardly with the vertical shoting direction.
Thanks for the feedback!
First game I ever make :D. Any feedback will be well received <3
