Pretty cool! I liked the typing mechanic, thought that was pretty clever. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Makes you feel like a hacker doesn't it.

Submitted

Precisely.

Developer(+1)

Was originally not intended, but our programmer decided to keep it.

Developer(+1)

appreciate it! It was originally going to be so you had to correctly type every letter but it was a welcome bug! Your game is pretty sweet too btw! Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

This was such a unique and eerie experience! The concept of a game jam inside a game jam was really cool, and the tension kept building in such an interesting way. I had a great time playing—awesome work!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it, hopefully the final submission was very relatable.

Developer

much appreciated! I really enjoyed the idea of game jam inception too!

Submitted(+2)

I like the humor of this game xD done very cool!

Developer(+1)

Glad you found the humor!

Developer(+1)

thanks! It was an unintentional but welcome part of our development process!

Submitted(+2)

Woah, that was actually crazy. Atmosphere was perfect. Everything looked good and consistent. Sound was great. I look forward to the other episodes!

Developer

Thank you! Means a ton! Really glad you enjoyed it!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! You game has pizza in the name, I'll be right back (going to play it) haha

Submitted(+1)

Really interesting the idea of getting into a horror game that the protagonist is participating of the current game jam.

Developer

Thanks! Glad you liked the game dev inception!

Developer

Haha glad you liked it!

Submitted(+2)

Three things I did a lot in this game. Scream, die, and curse the intro. Haha. Overall a masterpiece...

Developer

Sorry about the intro. REALLY appreciate the word masterpiece. You're the perfect player for this game haha.

Developer

Haha, might have to quote this on the official release! Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Very enjoyable game! Good atmosphere. Nice sound effects. Well done! My only request--let us skip the intro! Please! lol watching it every time I have to restart is painful. Other than that small issue, great game!

Developer(+1)

Yeah sorry about that, seems to be a common problem for most people and it's definitely something we're looking forward to. Thanks for playing!

Developer

Feedback is definitely noted! We will be adding a skip button in the future!

Submitted(+2)

The idea of turning the process of working on the jam into part of the game is so damn coooool. Also, for some strange reason I was having so much fun typing the code in that minigame that I died the first time I played :0

Developer

It makes you feel like a hacker for sure. As the artist, my least favorite was the art task haha. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed your time.

Developer

Haha thats awesome. I'm happy with how the various game dev tasks turned out! Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

The atmosphere is amazing! You created a great tone! Right away! Enjoyed it alot! It has alot of personally and great aesthetics!

If he wanted to watch all he had to do was say so...

Fun little game, the house looks great, love the aesthetic. Would love checkpoints, doing a full restart does not spark joy but it's short enough that it wasn't too bad. The only thing is that the shower turning on thing could be a little clearer. My first instinct was to interact with the shower curtain to open it or something but I didn't see any way to do so. Just leaving the bathroom and going to your bedroom being the solution is very strange, not sure if intentional or bug.

Otherwise, I liked it and would be interested in seeing more!

Developer(+1)

Firstly, thank you for the feedback and for giving it multiple goes. We are looking at a checkpoint system in future episodes for sure (this plagued us in our own development testing lol). As far as the shower, current design was intended sorry there was no pay off there. We'll make sure to keep the 3 act approach to every scenario in the future. Thanks again!

Developer

Glad you liked it! Yea sorry the shower curtain was supposed to just be a suspenseful spook! Really appreciate the feedback!

Heartattack.exe

Developer

Haha, glad we were able to give you a spook or two!

Developer

Bahaha, drink some DEV Fuel and walk it off

Submitted(+2)

This was the first game I saw on the submission page to check out, but I never really got around to it until now. Love the atmoshpere, its realllllly nice! I think its definitely worth to continue developing so good luck with that, and also the humor was really great XD, also great audio!
Well done, keep up gamedev!

Developer(+1)

That's awesome that you came back around to us. Glad you enjoyed it! We're starting to plan out the future episodes as this one has been rather well received.

Developer(+1)

Much appreciated! Future episodes and a full steam release is definitely the plan!

Submitted(+2)

The brackeys appearance got a laugh out of me. I wish it was a bit more lenient after death to retry where you left off. Really nice story!

Developer

Yeah sorry about that, a checkpoint system would certainly be helpful haha. Especially while we were developing it haha. Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed the man himself making an appearance.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Save or checkpoints may be something we add to the full release

Pretty creepy horror game, I think you could make some highlights to show where to go, because I literally stared at pc for a couple of minutes, until I randomly found barely visible door that leads to the fridge :)

I like this game!

Developer

Yeah we talked about it, a lot of people talk about how dark it is, but we have working lights in every room. Just turn them on haha. I think in the future that's what we'll do, guide the player to them. Otherwise you just follow the dialogue's suggestion. Thanks for playing!

Submitted

Yea, I kinda found out about lights after a bit of trial & error lol. Speaking of dialogue's suggestions, I don't know if it's just for me, but they felt like some quick commentary, not like some suggestion :)

Developer

Yeah I think in the future we may have a timer if the current objective has not been met, it'll reiterate the dialogue to drive it home. I'm wary of putting stuff like highlighted object or arrows as it may break immersion. But that's a good observation and reinforces that we need to visit that system.

Submitted(+1)

Highlighting with bright UI will certainly break the immersion, you can just add flickering lights here and there to guide a player

Developer(+1)

That's a good idea actually, currently the lights flicker just to flicker. So we'll have to design around that.

Developer(+1)

Good feedback. Definitely need to tune our visibility settings. May have to add one of those things that you drag the slider until the image is barely visible. Appreciate you playing

Submitted(+2)

i was expecting the game scar me a bit but rather it feels like home haha

Developer

Tell evil brackeys I said hi then! Haha

Developer

*insert "This is fine" dog image here* haha. Glad you liked it!

Submitted(+2)

Submitted(+1)

Developer

Submitted(+2)

nicely made horror game with a creepy aura to it so great work on audio,i did enjoy the funky 4th wall breaks.

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked the 4th wall breaks. Thats some of my favorite stuff to develop!

Developer(+1)

Haha, I think that's our strength mixing comedy with the horror

Submitted(+2)

Really great game! Well captured horror!

Developer
