You know, when I first started I was about to make a comment on how it is so simple and not very fun. Then I completed a level and was awarded a check mark instead of a star. I then repeated that level and every level I didn't perform the greatest on until I had stars in all levels. So bravo, you got me to stay captivated and I genuinely enjoyed playing your game! I gave you good ratings

Bery simple but it feels genuinely polished, so you hit the theme for sure. I was really surprised when I saw the first dark level, but it made things a lot more interesting near the end. The visuals are good, but the music gets a bit annoying rather quickly. The game feels a bit imactless though. You're picking up these items, but I don't feel there's a lot of weight/importance to it. Game feel is a hard thing to nail, especially with the very safe and relaxed enviorment of the house. Solid entry and good job for finishing it!
I managed to get a perfect on most of the levels. Those last few were tricky though. The music was fine, but it got annoying after a while. I don't really like it when I hear a 6 second loop throughout the entire game. Other than that, I loved this game.
Great stuff! Gave it really great ratings! Fun and unique interpretation of the theme! The one thing that could improve it, is a bit of a background story before the game starts, to lure the player in and give a bit of context of who the player is and why he is picking up his stuff, etc. But that might just be my preference as I love story-based games :)
I love the the art the concept and everything. This is for the score system, i think you should put a someting like target score to remind the player how many score require to get a star thingy. And the ui, maybe u can pick a nice color which i think you was think about it but you don't have time but the overall is good game i enjoyed 👍
I love The Overall of the game but the music is too loud!, You should put a slider to reduce the music not to mute the music , because I had to mute and i didn't enjoy the game that much , but great game!
Love It
Very cool way to handle movement as the challenge! Fits the theme great, super easy to play, but difficult to master if you want a good score. Good job!
I like the challenge of trying to complete it in as few steps as possible in the dark. I wish I got around to making a scoring system and level system in my submission. You managed the time a lot better than me.
thanks for playing! Actually my main goal with this was figuring out/learning how to create a unique score/high score per level. Everyone has their own goals/things they want to learn with game jams and I know you were trying to learn a whole new game engine, so you may have actually managed your time better than me to be able to make a whole game in a new engine! XD
Nice game , I think the music goes nicely with the visuals, (It might have just been my headphones) but I think the sound effects should be a little louder and the background music a little quieter.
if you haven’t tried already, try clicking the tutorial button in the top right and then actually playing the tutorial (move the player to the door using WASD). Then level 1 should unlock.
If you have tried that and it still doesn’t work I’m sorry I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work on your system!! :/ thanks for trying anyways though!
Sorry to ask but how to start the game...? for me every level are locked.
This is a very good game. I find the pixel art look very nice and fitting for the game. The menu and level design are also very harmonious, which underlines the dark and mysterious music. I like the idea that you have to play the first levels again in the dark, because if you remember them, it's not that difficult to get a good score in the first run and it's at a nice variation. With the sound design it would have been nice if the single items had different sounds. But otherwise I find it good that the items are random. The game fitts the theme very well in my opinien. Great job!
Hey, that was pretty fun. Feels like the dark levels are unfair on your first attempt though. You basically need to throw away one attempt scouting out the room as it's impossible to know the best path ahead of time. It's like being told to do a puzzle where you only have half the pieces. Maybe if you flicker the lights at the beginning of the level for a second or something first would help.
