A very creative and interesting concept. It is very well designed and is a good entry for a game jam. However, I think it can be polished in some ways if you continue to take forward this idea as it holds good potential. Also, sound effects would have improved the experience. Overall, a very original idea, All the best mate. Great work!!
Also, I'd really appreciate if you can review and play my game. Thank you!!
This was a really interesting take on the theme and very different from most other interpretations. It did take me a while to understand the gameplay loop, but I eventually figured it out. Good job!
It's a really fun puzzle experience. I'm impressed by how you managed to make the sludge flow and affect the terrain surrounding it. Really creative idea!
Ahhhh! 79% on the last pipe, noo! Haha, so close. Fun little puzzle game. Really enjoyed the way toxic sludge is poured into the terrain area. It looks very well polished. I could definitely see this being expanded a bit and doing well on mobile. Overall, great work!
Would appreciate you checking out my game too!
I'm impressed and fascinated with the flooding and erosion tech here, very nice! Kinda looks like the one in Minecraft and in some city-builder games. Graphics are nice to look at, you made great use of contrast so every object is clear and distinct.
As for the gameplay, it's a decent demo and could be very well turned into a mobile puzzle game.
It doesn't necessarily need any background music, but ambient sounds and effects will definitely improve the feel of the game. 😊
For the strat, I might've cheesed it a bit, by placing a pump at the beginning (no toxic pipes yet) to the largest high-terrain, whichever is nearest to the side. It worked 2 out of 3 times. Is this the way you're meant to play it?
Anyway, I could see this game holds potential, and could grow outside of its current gameplay boundaries. So overall, great job on making it! 😄
Cool concept!
Thanks!
very nicely designed. I like!
Thanks!
Intriguing! I liked this a lot
Thank you!
Simple but satisfying to play!
I'm glad you liked it!
Of course! :)
Very original. Probably a bit ambitious for a game jam, which is super nice but it makes the final game feel unfinished in this case, unfortunate because it's a cool idea to explore. I didn't really get the strategy to be honest, I'm not sure there is one. Keep it up, looks like it has potential.
That's fair, as there's really no strategy. I initially wanted to design a few levels and make it sort of a turn-based puzzle game, but I didn't make it in time. I'm glad you liked it regardless!
Really Unique take on the theme! There is something just oddly satisfying about watching those pumps suck up some sludge :)
Thanks! I spent quite a bit of time working on the terrain and the sludge, so I'm glad people like it :)
First off: the concept is cool and eye-catching. The idea is more ambitious than a typical jam game so it was refreshing! The visuals/main mechanic are awesome, though it is a little unforgiving honestly and I couldn't really tell what a good strategy was. Sounds would ELEVATE this game to the next level tho. great work, I really love the art, slime effect, and the mutable terrain!
Thanks! The shaders were a pain to get right, but I learned a lot. This is my first 3D game ever and that's experience I really needed. The mutable terrain and cellular automata used to make the sludge flow was a challenge and I'm really glad I managed to make it in time! The game just wouldn't have been the same without it.
Thank you for your kind words, internet stranger :)
Get out! Nice pun though :)
