Very creative! It's very challenging but also really addictive. Great work!

this is a very difficulty game and it is very addictive!

Submitted(+1)

my brain is too old for this ^^'

Submitted(+1)

A really creative idea, would have never thought of it.

Submitted(+1)

mine was #60 alan93. Difficult to master but definitely addicting. The highscore element for sure contributes to that. The most intuitive control scheme I got was Q for left and P for right. Very nice idea, good work!

i got #1 with 9185 my name is "shithea"

Developer

Congrats! I think i need to add more score congratulations in the game... I underestimated the players a bit

I’m surprised at how well I was able to adapt to the random controls at first, and I thought it was a bit too easy … until it started requiring multiple keys for a single action. it devolved into a truly barbaric game of Twister for my fingers, and I had a great time!

it’d be nice to have a permanent on-screen reminder of which keys I’m supposed to use, in case I lose my grip, though fumbling around to regain control was kinda fun. also, it’s a bit of a shame that 2 simultaneous keys seems to be the limit, I’d be interested to see how it plays with 3.

the leaderboard is a nice addition, I will try for #1 later! (currently #2)

My keyboard doesnt support so many buttons at the same time, but i think i will add 3 buttons after the jam ends

At first I saw the K A D control scheme and though that the creator was a sadist, but honestly the mechanic of the controls constantly changing was really fun and interesting. Really good game!

Submitted(+1)

So random yet so fun, great job and I liked the leaderboard

Submitted(+1)

Really cool and interesting, especially when considering that this is your first game!

Submitted(+1)

Like this game a lot, the controls change might be complicated, but the fact there is only 3 inputs, no other mechanics, and that you have your time to get used to it is really helping and makes the game feel great

lol I was wondering about the keybinds in the instructions and then I realized I was doomed from the start. Fun game, I stand no chance - I'll leave this one to the "triple speed, inverted, reversed upside down" gamers

fun idea, with good simple style.

Pretty fun little game! reminds me a bit of doodle jump, and I like how the game allows you to confirm your finger positions before continuing. Overall, great entry :)

Q: "Which keys are the controls?"

A: "Yes."

Submitted(+1)

Fun and entertaining game

Submitted(+1)

Nice job. Simple but complex at the same time. I experienced a little issue. The Y and Z is not recognized correctly.

Developer

You mean how it looks or when you press it?

Submitted

I have to press Y on the keyboard when it says Z and vice versa.

Developer (1 edit)

do you have a qwerty keyboard? i did only for those(didnt knew there was different)

Submitted(+1)

Absolutely not :) That's why I have the issue. I have a QWERTZ keyboard. But that's not a big deal. Still really good stuff :)

Submitted(+1)

Not 100%, but I think you can alleviate this in godot by using "physical keyboard" buttons:

I use it in this build, i need to change it to key label or something like this, but jam is over

Submitted

Oh, I see

This is such a mindfukc in the best way possible, really throws my brain for a loop when left and right are inverted lol
This is even more impressive after learning it was you first game at all, let alone in a game jam.
You have a lot of strong sensibilities for game design already and I know you'll do great things in the future. Keep up the good work!

Really nice game! my record was around 4000, very confusing, but very fun game!

Really cool twist on a doodle jump type of game! Love the classical music that goes with the game, awesome concept on switching the keys on the player, while still providing enough room for them to become comfortable with the keys before they can get punished. I reached 2500 points after a few tries, really cool to see highscores with all  the jammers out there. My only complaint with your game is that sometimes you are forced into a glitch  with bad RNG (see example below). It'd be great if that was always avoidable. Also ran into glitches for being boosted up which also felt a bit unfair... But otherwise this was pretty flawless and right on point with the theme! Great job!!

Developer

Thx for the feedback! If it always was avoidable, you would play for infinity without changing controls, that’s not what i wanted.
