interesting concept but the hp bar need some refinement. 1st its barely visible and i thought i was just randomly dying on spawn or on invisible walls and i was about to complain about hitbox being completely bugged ^^’. you need a bit of contrast between bar and the background of the bar. 2nd, it fill and deplete way too fast, the switching mechanic doesnt allow for fast/precise enough switch as hiding spots can get some time to go to and for the awareness bar to go down.
beside that, it look pretty good (and run much better than average for similar visuals :) and the gameplay seem ok(im guessing you have to break the skulls thing?)
Nice game! Definitely an original take on the idea of aberration, having a world that shifts around you when you get spotted by enemies. The game looks really nice and being chased by the monsters in the distorted world felt super tense. I had a bit of difficulty with the game crashing after a few minutes of playing, unfortunately.
Thanks for playing! And ya apparently some people with newer hardware are having issues with the game closing, I believe that has to do with the fact that the game was compiled on windows 7.
This is a good looking game! The tonal whiplash between the two worlds is honestly incredible - it made me laugh, but at the same time, the horror world is genuinely terrifying.
I love games that play with the concept of insanity and perception, and this fits the bill really well for me.
I would almost call this an "anti-stealth" game, because you actually need to draw attention in order to progress - and I honestly found that to be a really cool, and unique game mechanic.
Very fun experience!
Thanks I really appreciate that! Ya Anti-Stealth is definitely a good name for that. Or maybe you can even call it Monster Bating... nah you know what Anti-Stealth is better.
I am not sure what is going on. The game just closes randomly after a minute or so. It's such a pitty. I really want to beat the game as it's very unique and fun to play. My specs shouldn't be a problem either with 3070ti and i7. Never had this problem before. All 5* from me on this one!
Dang I'm very sorry you're having this issue! I compiled the game on windows 7 using Unreal Engine version 4.15.3, so it may be a problem related to newer hardware.... only thing I can suggest right now is to maybe run the game in compatibility mode for windows 7 and see if that works. Otherwise I would really have to do some research cause it doesn't seem like a common issue.
Compatability mode didn't work, but I was able to pay it on my huisband's PC. Awesone game! Very fun!
Thanks! Glad you were able to play it. It definitely seems like the time for me to use windows 10 and up for game making
The thing is y husband also has windows 10 just like me. So it was probably a my-PC issue.
Very nice and simple game! its not too hard nor too easy! The main thing I wish it would have is more variety of sound effects while picking up the skulls! but it is pretty fun!
Started all my VR drivers haha, Transition is well mirrored in the audio with the evil laughing sounds and such ^_^
thank you!
Great gameplay loop, it is really engaging and makes you work with the envoirenment and enemies in a way that is really fun. I also really liked the visuals and how drastically it can change depending on if you are being chased or not. Great game :D
thanks!
This was really really cool, such a unique twist on the stealth game. It did what it set out to do really well, with the cutesy teddies, environment and music suddenly shifting into a horrifying new dimension. The models and animations look amazing, and fit really well in either world. You managed to strike a really good balance between both worlds, although I kinda wish you could see the locations of the skulls in the normal world to better plan out your next move (however I guess having to go in and out of the other dimension while searching for the last couple skulls adds to the use of the adrenaline mechanic, shining more light on that). It was really fun overall :).
thanks so much!
I thought this was a really unique gameplay mechanic. Striking a balance between both worlds, so you're always managing something in either realm. I thought the game was appropriately challenging. I enjoy the visuals and the contrast between the two worlds.
It's not immediately clear what to do from the outset, but i don' think its that big of a deal for a game jam. The red adrenaline bar on brown is horrifying for colour blind people.
Thanks! Ya I definitely tried to make the transition between the two worlds as dramatic as possible, glad it came across. And ya seems like the biggest issue people are having is in regards to the visibility of the Adrenaline Meter. Really appreciate the feedback!
Controls feel good, I liked the ending animation and the difficulty is appropriate, imo. However, the contrast between the frame of the bar and its filling is too low (at first, I thought it had a bug and wasn't changing, but ended up giving it another try with a sharper eye after not finding a comment that addressed the issue). Along the same lines, some GUI warnings for when the bar was too low or too high would have also been useful.
Overall, a decent entry, so good job, mate 🤝
Thanks for playing through the game! Ya the notice-ability of the adrenaline meter is something that was def brought up a few times. Really appreciate the feedback!
that fucking little bears!! Great game, hard to win
thanks
Nice game, the adrenaline was a great idea, though I didn’t get it at first. This game is quite tough to beat. Great job!
thank you
Wow, that's a cool game! The adrenaline mechanic was an amazing idea, you had to be very thoughtful of your every movement, you couldn't stay too far away from the monsters but you also couldn't stay too close to them, there was a lot of depth to it. I just think it could have been better emphasized in the game, I spent my first couple of tries not understanding what was killing me, had to go back to the "How to play" section to read it again and see that adrenaline bar explanation. As it is, it is very hard to miss and there is no indication that it is close to filling/emptying up. Graphics are pretty good too, the monsters look really good, the transition between the two worlds is also well done, commendable work here, thanks for making this game!
Ya the meter definitely requires constant paying attention to, which is tough cause the game is already a lot to take in visually. And ya emphasizing the adrenaline mechanic is definitely the way to go considering its the main thing you have to worry about. I'm thinking I should have given it some glow whenever its about to completely empty or completely fill up to get the player to pay attention to it. Thanks so much for playing and the awesome feedback!
Really cool concept and graphics! I do think the gameplay could use a bit more depth but I really enjoyed the concept!
i appreciate the feedback
Really fun game it was hard but fun, insane models and details really good!
thank you
The models were awesome. the game was surprisingly hard and needed careful planning if you are serious on beating the game. I like the sounds too.
thank you!

Really fun game the only complain would be that the bears walk away from you and is hard to catch them when you need to return to the “monster world”
Ya I intentionally made the AI always patrol in the same pattern for better predictability and only chase you when they have detected you, so if they turned away from you as they were in the process of detecting you than I totally agree it looks like they're walking away form you. Thanks for the feedback and playing!
awesome , good job bro
thanks
awesome atmosphere
thanks
