The concept and atmosphere of this game is pretty solid! The gameplay could use some work as it isn't all that fun in all honestly, but not bad!

so cool! excited to see it developed

genuinely so inspired and original. the atmosphere was really on point. could really use some music to cement the vibe and i felt the church section was a bit lacking in gameplay, but it made up for it by being the most intriguing and beautiful part of the game. overall its honestly impressive how packed it is with lore without feeling bloated or forced, very good small scale worldbuilding! excited 2 see ur next projects :3333

Spooky! I think with sfx and other horror elements like jump scares this game has great potential! Well done!

Original story, wish I could skip the text a bit faster, otherwise very nice job! Assets looks nice, the scene and athmosphere look very nice !

Developer(+1)

Thanks! You're absolutely right about the dialogue, it was a very poorly made system, I add the scrolling last and didn't know how to refine it :P

Fun game, could easily see it being expanded into something cool! Some stuttering in the web version, but I think I saw other comments about it. Not being able to jump is a bit of an issue in the second area, I got boxed into a corner of the dias.

Developer(+1)

thanks!

You're right about getting stuck there. I did not add a jump to keep things simple and the experience as straightforward as possible.

Did you make all of the assets yourself? If you did, you're getting a 5-star rating on Originality.

Developer(+1)

Wow thanks, yes I did!

Apart from the church walls and pillars (which I had made in the past) everything was made during the jam by me :P

Definitely has a unique feeling to it, in a good way

I like how you can just "luigi mansion" the ghosts

Overall good looking and puts into the correct atmosphere

Also found it funny how you had to jump into so many holes, just so that finally you end getting out of the hole

Developer

Thank you so much!

The jumping into holes bit was a Silent Hill 2 reference since I played it recently but nice observation :D

imagine if this game was called birth by freaky and instead of getting born you got mean head

Developer

Is the mouse not being captured on the web build also an aberration because I can totally see it if intentional

I'm also not worthy of being born lol

atmosphere is great and I love the weapon types and how they interact

Developer

Hmm..  I don't think it's intentional :P. Try pressing ESC or F11

Thanks for the kind comments!

Maybe it's a webgl thing but i don't know what to do after the baby, the red circle and the white dot in the beginning.

Developer

jump into the hole :D

Submitted(+1)

i was so confused, i thought i was moving the circle around. This makes sense now. Finally completed the game. Nice shader and good level designs, but the best part was the end experience. I was kinda looking forward to see my mother not gonna lie.

the ghost level had really cool lighting! enemy/weapon variety was cool too

i am dababy

That church looked really cool, great work on it (and the overall aesthetic).

Developer

Yeah i was pretty excited about the church!

Loved the line up of the story and the atmosphere!
