  • This is a great game, I really enjoyed playing it and finding all three endings! The dog puns were magnificent!
  • Hey ! :) It's funny, it's well made. There is different endings. This is a short but very cool game. And very educative too, i now know what happend when dogs/cats are left alone at home. :P I just encountered an issue when trying to repair the bed in the right bedroom. It just didn't want to. But well, dogs are not the bests technicians in the world, and beds are capricious, everyone know that. Thanks for that, see ya ! :) Drag

Hey there! Not sure if you saw, but we did high level feedback of your Jam entry on our YouTube channel:

Developer(+1)

I just saw it, thanks for the feedback!

(+1)

+1 for puns

+1 for talking animals (x3 because there are three talking animals, x4 if you include the blobs)

+2 for adding an instakill BORK

+3 for comedy

+1 because I want to and this is a really cute and fun game

Submitted(+1)

I had my son try the game just before bed.  He had fun.  I enjoyed the puns.

Okay, finally got to play this and I adored it. Woofy is such a good character, and it is refreshing to see something from the mind of a pet. To him it was the end of the world and he had to stop everything, but in reality...well just play it. I adored the mechanics, as simple as they were, and the characters had just enough personality to suit a small game like this. Well done.

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you were able to play it! :) I wanted to try to do something a bit different and silly, so I'm happy you enjoyed your time with Woofy.

Submitted(+1)

Cute game! It was fun and not too long. I replayed it until I got the best ending, then had my girlfriend play it. Well done!

By the way, which plugin lets you reduce the item menu to just the regular items (instead of item, equip, etc.)? It's a modification I've looked for, but never found.

Developer(+1)

I'm happy to hear both you and your girlfriend had fun playing! :)

That's actually a minor plugin I made myself (though it's mostly cobbled together from edits of the default code).  Since I rarely make games with battles, I made it to get rid of the unnecessary things.

I guess I need to step up my Javascript game! Care to share any tips for making my own plugin, or even a copy of the plugin itself?

Developer(+1)

I'm not all that knowledgeable about javascript either, I found the parts that affected what I wanted and then just tested and tweaked things until my plugin worked. ^^;  If you really want my plugin and you have an account on RMWeb, you can PM me there and I can share it.

Game seems to be broken, others seemed to have played it so I don't now what might have changed, but I cannot seem to play it.

Developer

Sorry you're having issues playing, I honestly have no idea why it's not working for you.  Are you trying to play it in-browser?  The only thing I can think of is that itch.io was having issues when you were trying to play.

I just checked the game page and the download and both worked fine for me... I'm really sorry, but the only advice I have is to try downloading it again.

Submitted(+1)

I...did not realize there was a download. Giving that a try now

Great game! Simple but held my interest and was fun to the end. It's ruf to be home alone sometimes :)

Loved the villain and barking was very cool! Oh and the team work was cool as well!

Developer

Glad you had fun!  It is ruff to be home alone, especially for Woofy, which is one reason the game's nice and short.

Submitted(+1)

It's a pretty fun game. I don't have a lot to say other than that I'm pretty impressed with how the game was made. Good job, mate.

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you had fun playing.  I didn't want to make anything too serious, just something that people could enjoy playing for a few minutes.

Submitted(+1)

I was a good doggo! I cleaned 100% of the house...you should add a percentage so players know how much are they missing. GJ!

Developer

Congrats on being a good dog!  Adding a percentage is a good idea, I hadn't considered it since the game is so short but I can see how it'd help players fix it all. :)

Charging up the bark has never been more satisfying. Paw-some!

Developer

Not gonna lie, the bark charging mechanic is the whole reason for the game.  So I'm happy to hear that other people had a paws-itive experience charging up their bark too. :)

Submitted(+1)

This was such an adorable game to play! Cute idea, well executed, with a very, very scary villain! ;)

I played it a few times, and even when I thought I cleaned everything up, the ending message still said I cleaned 'most' of it up! Probably going to have to play again till I find what I missed...

Developer

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it!  Making it was a lot of fun, especially coming up with the truly terrifying villain. :D

I just double-checked, and it is possible to get the 'good boy' ending instead of the 'most' one.  It's hard to tell what you may have missed, so all I can say is to make sure to fix all the cracks & beds, put out the fires, scare off all the monsters, and make sure to deal with the ruined dinner.  Good luck getting that ending!

Submitted(+1)

This is alot of fun! I love Woofy I'll never fur-get this!

Developer

I'm happy to hear you liked this silly tail! :) It was a lot of fun to make this game, coming up with all the puns made writing the dialogue pretty entertaining.

Submitted (1 edit)

That's a fun idea, but am I the only one for which trying to bark softlocks the game?

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

That's odd, I haven't noticed any issues with the bark while testing.  Does it happen every time you hit 'b', or is it random?

Edit: I think I've actually found the issue, if you click the button too fast multiple times it messes up... Not sure how to fix it, but I'll try.  Thanks so much for pointing out this issue! :)

Submitted(+1)

It happened every single time I hit the B button, even once. Now, I don't know if you updated the game, but now the bark seems to be working properly. I wonder if that's an issue with my computer or my internet browser. Anyway, you're welcome. Thanks to you for your efforts and good luck.

Developer(+1)

I did update the game, thanks to your comment I was able to figure out where in my eventing things had gone wrong.  I'm so glad that my fix did actually work, I hope you enjoyed being able to properly bark! :)

Submitted(+1)

I did. Thank you. ^w^
