I uploaded a few books, but had little luck with them. Did much better with tools, if it counts. But I bought books and comics here and still have a long backlist.

I've released albums in here. I use the odd track or 2 in games but they are mainly stand alones. Would get more audience on bandcamp but the simplicity of this site makes everything so easy!

Oooh! I hadn't thought to upload zines here! It was often just the developer's log, really, that I'd used. I might poke around - it would be interesting to have something like that on here! Maybe a character-based fashion zine, etc... sounds nifty!

I'm doing adult visual novels.  To keep production efforts down, the game play aspects are pretty limited - usually only a couple of choices in each story - so it ends up as much of a linear comic, telling a story with nsfw pictures.

i think itch.io is great for music sharing, love that i can embed bandcamp albums neatly OR even make a custom player as webGL to run on the project page. couldnt ask for more power for sharing the content.

If anyone wants to try the bandcamp thing, just get the embed code for your album then paste it into the description field when you edit project page. it looks great. you can center it if it suits you better.

as a side note, theres a good amount of audio/zine/other based jams to take part in.

I'm on itch to post zines as well! I might end up posting text-based games sometime (i haven't got any game-making experience so anything with graphics is probably a no-go haha) but for now i'm focusing on my visual stuff. I like how easy it is to share a printable version for those one-page zines - the final layout looks pretty weird when you unfold it and i wouldn't want to post it to more image-focused platforms (not to mention it'd be too low-res to bother printing lol) but i like being able to put it up as a second file in the same project!

There's so much interesting stuff on here i could be browsing for days!!

I make comics and there's not really a community around comic strip type of things, so after searching I found this place to be the best around for distributing zine / book type things. So far I'm pretty happy, and this compliments instagram and Tapas quite, quite well. Granted, always a bit hard to get exposure, but such is life.
