who doesn't love a tower defense game!
Liked the large graphics looks neat, and the UI - well now, side bar menus!
reminds me of a game I played on iPhone where aliens try to steal your sheep.
Nice work.
I admire the scale of the project and the work, looks promising.
Interestingly for me, I found it hard to figure out what to do and how, and given I am trying to review a lot of games, I gave up after a while.
I think a 'play and learn' level would be ideal. Thinking of your future users, they tend to have a specifically short attention span. That said, I get that for a Game Jam, time spent on tutorials is somewhat wasted.
Looking forward to seeing the next versions, added to my collection to see how you get on.
Well if it is your first, then well done you completed a project, most people dont.
Positives, nice idea having the timer on the sprite itself, maybe it could change colour when time is running out?
Found the climbing a bit unusual and I had to work it out, maybe the first level could force you to discover this?
Look forward to seeing your game next year...
I wasn't really sure what I had to do and found myself walking around the levels pressing 'c' at anything I could find.
I think you need to give the player a simple first level which instructs them on exactly what they need to do and how.
Nice sound and graphics fitted well, speed of movement was good, so I did not get frustrated being in the wrong part of the level.
If you took it further I would think about adding some jeopardy to the levels.
well done.
really liked this, we played for a while. Could not get past level 2 though and didn't work out we had to press 1 and 2 to choose the time zones, or the right mouse to shoot.
Maybe an easy play intro.
The graphics are really cool and show just how effective primitives can be, feel quite polished.
There was something quite nice about shooting the timebombs (or whatever they are) into the sky, seeing them go of away in a spaceX style!
nice work.
Forgotten how much I liked tank games.
Agree with a lot of the comments below. However I am guessing this is one of your first games? If so, then you completed and delivered, which is something so many people don't do.
Maybe work on it, it would be so cool to see it in 6 month time as you continue to skill up.
Good:
Nice sound
Easy to jump, not required to be too accurate.
Found myself playing for a while - forgetting I was reviewing
Explorable
To work on:
Jump would have been better as 'space', had to keep looking at the keyboard
got a little lost, in terms of what I needed to do
Tutorial - couldn't see the player
Nice work, easy to play
