I was sold by the cat, great game, love the visuals and the time gameplay mechanic. My problem with the game is that since it is not possible to look further so you can plan your next move I lost many times. Maybe you could improve that. Well done!

Very cute cat sounds! The music is pleasant and the colors look nice. The gameplay concept of gravity turning seems like it has a lot of potential for creating interesting puzzles.

Love the sounds and look and feel on this one! Really nice job! The game mechanics is very cool and it has a lot of potential!! I agree that the camera should be farther back a bit (I did try playing it in editor mode, for some reason it seemed to add some blocks, I'm not familiar with the platform, so i don't know if that's expected). Other than that, really cool!!

really cool concept with the gravity changing, happily played for a while, nice work.

Thank you very much!

Really loved your take on the theme, very clever! You should just do a better planning on the level design. There were a lot of places I couldn't see where I had to go and was waiting for me there.

Maybe zooming out the camera a little and planning to every next step be visible to the player.

Thanks for the comment! The fact, that you cannot always see how the level continues, was my intend. But maybe you’re right. You can increase the window size to see more of the map BTW. Or you can press ‘e’ to enter the editor mode (which is very basic) and then use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.

Ooh I see. Good Point :)

Really clever mechanic - I just wish the hourglass animation had more frames so it would be easier to time the changes.

Quite a cute game and the visual like Forever said was amazing :) The SFX on the cat was cure as well and I liked the timer moving the gravity. Not the mechanic a lot of people use, so you could have something unique here. I would recommend working on this and making it longer and more levels and puzzles.

I found out that behaviour on infinitely jumping while against a wall, if that is not intended it should be quite a simple fix, to just check if Jumping then don't jump again or something like that :)

Thanks for your nice comment! :)

The jumping bug is because the player can always jump while the cat is colliding with the map. The jump then ends as soon as the cat "re-collides" with the map again. Therefore it's possible to jump right again.

Maybe we'll improve on the whole game, but it needs a better engine as a base. This was my first attempt of writing a little 2D engine and it served perfectly fine as a learning project, because I learned what to do differently next time ;)

Thanks again! :)

Here's a link to the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable if anyone needs it to play this game. :) I kept getting a "vcruntime140.dll not found" error.

Really cute game! The game gets a 10/10 on the visuals, very pretty spacey aesthetics and the cat's design is incredibly cute and unique. The music was nice and the voice over was pretty cute and funny. The controls were very responsive and the gravity flipping was satisfying to maneuver around in the middle of falling / jumping. I was kind of sad to find that there was only one short level though, I need more time with space cat please! I know we only had a short amount of time to work on this game jam but I think there's a lot of potential for more levels with these gravity flip mechanics (moving platforms, enemies, puzzles, other obstacles). Also, I'm not sure if this was an intended behavior but I was able to jump infinitely while pressing against a wall.

Space Cat is badass!
