Don't forget you can just drop in the search for jams like "music" or "soundtrack" or "ost" and filter to Upcoming
A lot of the jam maintainers have their own Discord server and you can find folks in there
I did like 22 or so jams since July, is about the pace of that.
To say nothing of taking their assignments as a way to break like writers block in your non-Itch regular soundcloud lineup if you're a little burned out coming up with your own ideas in long-sequence....works well enough for me.

Thank you for the follow. I mostly use it to make my music available in one place. But you’re right: Gaining traction on BC seems pretty opaque. But SC always repelled me because the UI looks so messy xD.

This isn't a formal collab request, just a (far smaller in scale) fellow musician on Itch who's pleased to see another individual make the transition to this place. I remember last July when Lone Rabbit did OST Comp Jam #7 as my first competition on here (#8 is in progress so it's a time of introspection as I deliver my submission in the next day or two for that one).
Point is, simultaneously with working #7 i had to think about how to unpack my outside-Itch stuff onto this platform in the beginning so I remember that disgorging process, making the place look lived-in so to speak :).

It is my first game track composition ever. I still deciding if I will focus my free time in game composing or in drum teaching, since AI took over the market.

Just a matter of picking album/soundtrack in the game type and maybe setting a minimum price if you think the subject matter is less than universal consumption like more explicit, i kind of on purpose did a pricing tier to make anything adult-ish several bucks yet at the same time having it on distrokid thru Spotify and the other platforms. that way folks know the -name- of the higher price one in the same album so theyre aware what keyword to search even if they never straight up buy-on-Itch directly

I'm listening your tracks on spotfy here, very cool because you range from some jazzy tracks like "You'll transform me Is always a hard Sell" to some very experimental (I guess, because of the constant rhytmn and time signature change) ones like "Oh that's really not good".

You put a price tier because the genre of game isn't very popular, so it makes the style of composition more unique?
well if it might be listened to by kids or someone that might be offended theoretically then there's price friction to drop the likelihood, like if you do something truly wildly controversial it can help reduce trouble
