Great style, but bad controls. Good job!

Developer

The intentional use of poor controls is by design because you have the better-control upgrade (although some may get used to the default controls, so this upgrade becomes nearly useless XD). Also, try many shorter button presses rather than longer ones, its way easier to control this way.
Anyways, thanks for giving the game a try!

love the upgrade system! controls felt a little weird at first, but once I realized I had to tap the A and D buttons lightly to tweak the tragectory of the bullet, it was smooth sailing.  feels like an .io game i'd play in middle school lol

Developer

Glad you liked it! Now that you've said that, this could really be an .io game, just imagine the chaos with multiple players lol

Incredibly fun and addicting! The upgrades make this so interesting and i really enjoyed it :)

Thanks for playing!

Great game! I loved the art and sound effects! Well done!

Developer

Thanks!

This was actually one of my ideas for the jam during brainstorming, so I'm happy someone else made it. Excellent work!

Developer

Thank you for giving the game a try!

This right here is a MASTERPIECE! Everything! The art and music mesh well together, the sound effects have a lot of impact which almost emulates tactile feedback like rumble motors on controllers. The dopamine I get when I land a shot! ( I have no words! ) This is fantastic :D Great Job! This would be a very interesting take on the Vampire Survivor-esque roguelite genre of games if polished further.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the overwhelmingly positive feedback :D I`m glad that the game feel was great, that was a really important part of the game while developing it!

Veeery clever idea (and title!) with good execution too, wich isn’t easy in this case. Liked the game, although it feels clunky on some things (I got checkmated by playing flawlessly more than once, mainly because of bullet speed). I was left wanting to get to faster pace and become the bullet hell itself!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing! I highly recommend trying out the auto-destruct upgrade along with the reload one, so you can quickly return to the "player" and shoot again (thats how people cheese the game lol). Or you can just get many bullet speed upgrades XD. Anyway, thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it.

Submitted(+1)

I tried with the speed one! But I think going all in with bad turns and fast speed while creating chaos could make the game more fun! Although I might be biased towards mayhem roguelikes hehe

wow I found this one of the most addicting games for the jam so far :) once you start getting a large amount of upgrades you feel really good and I love that the upgrades stack so it never really feels like youre wasting an upgrade or anything.

so good :) thanks

Developer

Thanks!Glad you had fun. The upgrades stacking was really hard to balance, like, if the explosion wasn`t limited you would be able to just instakill the entire map lol

Great game, good funky sound and solid concept, very fun.

Developer

Thanks! It was one of my first times attempting to create music that wasn't just a short loop. XD

This is so far my favorite game jam project that I have been played!!! I was so impressed that you able to implement and design that many perks cards in such a short time as well as providing continuous fun and great feedback to player. I can't wait for the future version!

Developer

Thanks for playing! It was really challenging to implement everything on time, to be honest, and I couldn`t include some of the upgrades I had planned. But it's great to hear that the game is enjoyable in its current state!

Submitted(+1)

Ey that was a neat little experience

Developer

Glad you liked it :)

This was so excellent! I originally wanted to do an idea like this for the jam so it's extremely heartening that another group has done it, and probably better than I could have. I loved the upgrades so much. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing!

Fantastic game. For a game that was made in 2 days its really broad in challenges and rewards.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! It was challenging to implement so many mechanics in such a short amount of time... it's nice to know it was worth it.

Haha this is brilliant! Played for probably longer than I should have, was reaching 30 mins before I had to put it down. Very satisfying making bullets that are larger than the explosion radius! All that juice with the particle effects and screen shake was done to perfection. Really enjoyed it!

Developer

Many thanks! The game was designed with around 10 minutes of playtime in mind, so it's great to hear that I achieved that goal. Thank you for taking the time to play my game! :D

This one is really fun to play!

And the upgrades make it much replayable :)

I would like an upgrade that lets me be more aware of where enemies are going to spawn

PD: It also reminded me of the "wanted" movie haha

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and providing feedback!

That's exactly one of the upgrades that I couldn't implement into the game in time. XD

Submitted(+1)

Had fun with this one! Really liked the upgrades and how they sort of nudge your playstyle, the bullet was a little hard to control at times but it didn't take away too much from the game. Well done!

Developer

Thank you!
Try picking the upgrade that improves the bullet control!

A great, fun game with a cool concept. I'd recommend zooming the camera out a bit or giving some sort of indication as to which direction enemies are coming from as it was sometimes a bit frustrating trying to find them and/or being surprised by an enemy that snuck up on you. The "player" would also sometimes shoot me directly into a shield or a wall with no chance to avoid it meaning that you have to wait for the reloading time again. But it was still a great game despite these minor problems. Very well done! :D

Developer(+1)

I had planned a upgrade for the player's view range, but I forgot to implement it...
The issue of players shooting at walls and shields, I implemented measures such as verifying walls in the path before aiming. But there are still several specific situations that need addressing (such as when the character rotates between the aim position and shoots in the middle of rotation into a wall). Unfortunately, time was running out. One fix that some players may notice is that the bounce upgrade may prevent these accidents.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to play and provide this feedback!

Submitted(+1)

No worries, absolutely understandable given the time constraint. My game has a much bigger bug that I didn't manage to fix ^^

Nice work ! It's cool to play with a great bot.

Maybe it could be better to know where are the ennemies because sometimes I needed to bypass object and the enemy goes the opposite way.
A large view while the bot is playing and a zoom when the player control the bullet could help to see where is the ennemies.

The upgrades where cool, I didn't understand at first why it was possible to auto-destroy the bullet but the design of the game makes it an interesting mechanic.
Concerning the text of the the upgrades, the pixel shader makes it difficult to read.

Anyway, very fun to play and the game loop makes it fun to play it again and again.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, I had initially planned to include an upgrade that increases the view range or shows enemy locations, but somehow I completely forgot about it in the middle of development. My bad!

Regarding the text, perhaps I should disable the swinging animation to improve readability, or change font?

Submitted(+1)

This is a really fun game! I have to say tho.. what an irresponsible player .. I know we auto aim for him and all but please shoot me in the general direction of the enemy! haha

fun concept and nice enjoyable upgrade mechanics and all!

Well done.

Developer

Be patient he configured the wrong mouse sensitivity 😭

...Thanks for the positive feedback!
