Ranked from 63 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
It's basically Frogger, except every round, the roles are reversed and the player controls the cars and has to crush the frogs. This in turn makes the frogger part more difficult, as the cars are now enemies to be avoided.

Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 48 hours?

Really fun game! It would be really fun as a party game I think :D
One thing to note is that the game screen is wayy too big so some parts didn't show up properly in my browser.

Thank you!

Sorry to hear that there are issues with the viewport for you - would you mind letting me know which browser you are using, and what your screen/monitor resolution is? Also - did you play the game in the itch.io randomizer frame or directly from the game's itch page (without the randomizer frame)?

Edit: resolution was fixed to 1920x1080, so it was probably too big for some browser/monitor setups. its now way smaller by default and should scale correctly in fullscreen.

I played the game in a new tab that popped up (randomizer frame?), i use vivaldi browser(chromium) but i was able to view the rest of the game by simply zooming out a lil bit!

A lot of really good ideas and execution in this game, congratulations this is a really good game (the little message when you crash made me laughed at loud)

Developer

Thanks, really glad to hear someone likes the messages! :p

Great Idea, Neat presentation! I liked how the multiple branches of movements stack up becoming a chaos... Awsome!

The cars were a bit slidy and hard to control BUT I did manage to get the swing of it. I love basically playing against myself; where my previous choices impact the difficulty of the next move. Great job!

I don't understand this game. The cars didn't come kill the frog. I wanted to see the frog die :( You should come play our game! We had a similar idea!

I think you might be mistaken about something. If the car came to kill you it would simply be Frogger, but this is Reverse Reverse Frogger.
You are the cars as well as the frogs and play through iterations of the same scene.
If you did not even get to the point where you are the car, I must say, you missed out on the best part of the gameplay.

I'll try it again! Thanks!

The game is really cool and creative, it isn't very polished but it's fun, you did great !

Keep up the good work !

I really like the concept and had a lot of fun playing the game. I think it's a super creative use of the theme! :)

I feel like stuff could happen faster because I was confused to what was going on as a lone frog jumping around and didn't know where to go and such.

Developer(+1)

Sorry to hear! The camera pans to where you're supposed to go at the beginning of each round.
Ideally there should also be an indicator at all times, but we weren't able to implement that due to time constraints.

Thanks for the feedback!

frog sound are too cool! Nice game too andnice work in general !!One of the best of this type!

love how crazy the scene will be after awhile XD

i think you could put the cars a little closer to the screen at the start as i didnt know i could use them at the start.

great job nonetheless!

Developer

Thank you!

Yeah, ideally we wanted the car you're controlling to be highlighted somehow (outline shader or something), but due to time constraints we settled for a quick camera pan and zoom at the beginning of each round. Thanks for the feedback and glad you're enjoying the chaos!

I love that it quickly becomes this hectic scene that you create.  This is super cool, and the execution is great!

One of my favorite games this jam i actually had so much fun. I wish they made squishy sounds when you hit them.

This is very creative! I’ve only seen a small handful of games that have attempted to create challenge by making the player get in their own way, and this one does it quite well! It’s very enjoyable to play.

Nice concept and fun game ! Frog sound effects are really well chosen. I love it ! Congrats to the team !

Really love the paper frog art! also cool to see that the player controls are being recorded, I know how difficult it is to make this work, good job!

I really like the creative take on this one! It adds a bit of that extra spice. It ran bad for some reason in chrome, but I switched over to firefox and it ran just fine. Probably on my end.

Also, super cute cover art!

Amazing use of the theme, I love the cumulative chaos that arises as you play - well done :D

Submitted(+1)

that is a fun take on the theme, didn't expect that reverse mechanics , pretty neat!

i love how chaotic the cars are, it is quite exciting to drive them

i think it would be even greater to have less time to finish the levels, as in the beginning it was quite easy and i had plenty of time to chill haha

more chaos! :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

I agree, the game can be very easy, but we ditched the timers after it really frustrated some players who were enjoying to drive around more recklessly without having to care about a timer, and changed it into a bonus score mechanic instead. I think you'd get the same chaos (and difficulty) satisfaction though from bigger levels with more cars, which I might add after the jam.

Really neat concept, I didn't expect a take like this. It seemed like one of the arrows guiding the cars to their destination is just off screen, so it wasn't the easiest to get the cars to the right place.

also, nice frogs :)

Developer

Thank you, fellow frog enjoyer!
Yeah I think I know which one you mean, I blame it on my last minute level changes. Glad you enjoyed it though!
