How does your game fit the theme?
The game is about a villain who wants to take over the world and is building an army with his professor, his army is a collection of mutated zombies. So far, the game is a clichéd zombie game. However, in a game where zombies exist, you usually kill them to get the highest score. But here, instead of killing them, you run away from them and gain your score from creating as many strong zombies as you can survive. The main objective of the player is reversed so instead of destroying monsters, he is the one creating them. Thus, instead of being a shooter , it creates more of a survival game experience.

Love the art and the voice acting! Quite interesting idea of not being able to kill enemies and having to run from them instead and the balance act of figuring out how many you can dodge at a time while maximizing the score.
Really also liked the Playing card style for the skills, is there any reason for picking that? Where there more cards planned?

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the creative direction. As for the cards, I just really liked the aesthetic when making the art (definitely didn’t steal that idea from Cuphead). I think we would have added at least one additional skill had we had the time, I could actually imagine a random system where only 2 out of multiple skills are available at a time or something similar really spicing things up.

Really enjoyed the art and the voice lines at the beginning. Found the game much too easy, as the AI gets stuck on terrain very easily and just stops moving. The spawning mechanic was pretty confusing as well, so all around clearer explanation of mechanics would have been helpful.

That said, the gameplay is fun, if a bit repetitive, and there aren't any crazy bugs that I found.

Nice work!

I was a bit confused at first, but I love the concept for this! I really like the idea of choosing your own challenge rather than being given pre-determined waves. I would love to see an incentive for hitting certain goals, like unlocking a new upgrade for spawning 10 zombies or something. It did feel a bit unintuitive having to type the number I wanted, maybe having + and - buttons would be more clear. It would have also been nice to have an indicator of where the shooters' bullets were going, just to make reacting to them a bit easier. I did find a bug where dying and restarting disables the other enemy types in the spawner but if you don't reset them manually they will still spawn the same way they did when you died. Overall, very fun concept and great job!

Abit confusing at the start how it should work, but is an interesting concept. Audio and visuals are very pleasing. Good Job :)

Was interesting to hear a game with voice acting. The premise is kinda cool, like a survival game where you can choose your own difficulty. Nice coding, premise, and art/sounds for a 48 hour jam. Very polished, well done!

I really appreciate the voice acting in this game. It serves as a tutorial and I understood the mechanics of the game straight away. Unfortunately, the game is very frustrating because the enemies or player colliders are too big. The duration of i-Frames are also too short for my taste. Maybe it's also because I don't get much feedback from the game when I get hit. Otherwise I had a lot of fun, the idea is very creative. Good job.

really loved the voice acting. love the idea of allowing the player to choose what spawns good job

Confusing to figure out, and the zombies can hit you from WAY too far away. Art was good, but the sprites did not fit in with the background.

Awesome gameplay and a great concept! With voice acting too! Great stuff :)

Interesting concept. It was definitely a bit confusing at first due to how small the ui was, but overall great entry!

Nice game, a cool feature would have been to see your last army destroy a group of heroes when clicking on “Wrap things up” !

Glad you liked it! That would be hilarious, maybe next time haha

It gets pretty intense at the end, but the two abilities work perfectly to aid you. Great work!

I LOVE the voice that explains you the concept at the beginning of the game! The music was also great. The scope has been well thought, it's a simple yet great game overall! GG :)

Neat stuff. Very interesting concept. I managed to unlock the pistol guys and from there on it started to get too difficult to dodge the monsters. I think It would be cool to have something like having to beat the monsters to upgrade their health/defense, but if you accedently kill them they are lost and you have to recruit new ones. But yeah I don't know if something like that is doable in 48 hours jam. This is game is cool and fun though and the narration is 10/10. Well done!

I like it! I noticed the units had a pathing algorithm, unfortunately they don't do corners very well.
