Awesome game! I loled hard when that guy put himself into small hole and rotated to enable torch. And it's looking really good.

Great game, love the getting thin and turning the candle holder thingies. Everything fits just right. Well done.
You were alone and you did this, WOW! The mechanics of the game was so good, we enjoyed playing it so much! Congratulations to you, and we need of course a part 2 of the game soon! :D
Oooh, I love it! Nice visuals and cool puzzles, not too hard but still very fun. The only thing I didn't like is decoupling the rotation (arrow keys) from the movement direction. You end up pressing A to move forward in the shifted view which is confusing sometimes. The character gets stuck after the first move following death for me (neat respawn effect btw). But other than that, a nice and polished game!
Thanks for the feedback! Bad timing on when you played - I fixed the death movement issue about an hour after you played it.
I agree - The movement and turning was a conundrum for me. I was very tempted to have controls similar to how you were hoping they'd be, however in some of the more complex levels that I cut, it made sense to have the separation in move/rotate. I think I'll keep playing around with different movement options as I work on pt2
I got a little stumped in the last room, but I finally figured it out. Nicely done, great game!
Very interesting concept. I really like the way the mechanics are implemented with the player, the only thing that was a bit confusing was shifting and then having the movement stay relative to the character and not the player. Other than that minor thing, this was a wonderful experience! Can't wait for part 2!
Cool game! The graphics, music and sfx are really nice and go well together. I liked the mechanic where you can swap between being a 2D and 3D character. There were times where I could walk over spikes without dying if my character was flat, and other times I couldn’t. I think the game had a cool story and I like the indirectness of the hints. I found it hard to move in the second view before I reached the final room, because the movement didn’t match the key I was pressing. In the final room it matched. Overall a really nice game. I am looking forward to part 2.
This was really good, It gave me Diablo 1 vibes. the puzzles were well designed, overall it was a good submission!
the art is unique. The movement feel a bit weird, maybe its because of Im not used to this kind of movement. I think you need to put more clue for what the player need to do, I'm so lost in there. Anyway, good job for finishing the game!
I must say that the graphic has its own uniqueness, unfortunately, I'm not on your market. The atmosphere, which came along with nice ambience and SFX, was so great.
My main concern is when you switch perspectives. The second perspective didn't match the player's movement (atleast for me) and caused a little confusion.
Good luck for the next update!
Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed the atmosphere of it. Agreed on the perspective stuff. I realize there was actually a glitch making it so that it wouldn't take people to the top view and would rather take you to the "death"camera sometimes, which made it super confusing. Finally figured that out this afternoon.
You've got to consider the Windows build because a player who has a low-mid end like me :') has a small number of fps when opening many tabs. It was just an insignificant consideration because it ran much smoother when I closed some tabs
Btw, from yours, I learned how a puzzle game somehow feels so intuitive. Nice!
This was awesome. Really impressive work for 1 man.
Though, ive got stuck after checkpoint in the room with the 2sets of spikes with a note in the middle, rushing left after the checkpoint.
Very nice! I really liked it! And it has a good progression. First very easy and the the room with the flames I found out that i could turn myself, haha! And as a win, I got thrown into a pit... I'm guessing there would start the second chapter :D
Please, if you have the time, play and rate mine too.
I got stuck in the flame room where it said about lining the switches, nothing seemed to work, I got inside the thing but couldn't figure out :D Tells just more about my skills with puzzles than your actual game.
I liked the atmosphere that you were able to portrait though, good wat to work with the theme as well with different perspective and the changing of the character layer.
Great job!! Can't believe one person made all this in 10 days! Amazing!
This was a really great game. I loved the Aesthetic. I cant quite put my finger on what it was but it just took me back to PC gaming in the 90's and Im all about that :D
Also the atmosphere was fantastic and the use of the theme for the puzzles was really satisfying.
To be honest, I can only be biased when I rate a game like this; I am a huge fan of such atmospheric games. The sounds, the visuals, the story and mystery, they all spoke to me. I saved it in a collection so I can finish it later when I have the time.
Great game!
