The art style of the game is just beyond, no words can describe what my eyes are looking at

This was my first game of this kind, I’m not a fan of story games so I won’t try to go for all good endings, but at least I got one, and it was fun, a nice change from genres I normally play

A well done game, feels like a full game, though there are some tiny technical issues specially with the dialogue right after a choice, sometimes it shows the wrong person talking, other times repeats the choice dialogue twice, and other times will have an empty dialogue first then the choice dialogue, but nothing game breaking

Developer(+1)

Wow, thanks a lot for the kind words! We're happy that all the hard work we've put in this game is being appreciated so much! This means a lot to us!

You've got some awesome art style and visuals here! Also for just 10 days, the amount of content you put into this is really impressive, and the writing is great too :D Let's try this one more time **statue**

Developer(+2)

Oh you tried the "statue" very well...

Btw thanks again for your words really appreciated.

Submitted

Not the statue again XD

Submitted(+2)

It is pretty fun and old-school. I love it.

Submitted(+1)

Good job on the game. Very well polished and lots of content. I'll have to try it again later.

Developer

Thank you for your kindly words!

Am I missing an obvious roll-back or skip dialogue mechanic when I hit a bad ending? I just want to be a statute and I'm being punished for it :"(

Edit: I really enjoyed the game and it's an impressive amount of content, I just wish it were easier to explore all narrative branches by quickly skipping parts I've already seen so I can get to making stupid decisions faster.

Edit 2: Just discovered you can press and hold the continue button to skip dialogue, although it's still a little slow to get back to your previous choice so you can choose something new.

Developer(+1)

Unfortunately this game is created by a custom engine we wrote during the jam, so it's missing many important features you've listed (including the possibility of creating a save file), in the future we're going to implement as many quality of life features we can. Hope you've still enjoyed the game though.

I lost track of the time playing, there's an impressive amount of content! The dice rolls for actions is a neat mechanic for a visual novel. I really like the aesthetic and atmosphere you have.

Developer

Thank you very much, did you find the roll system easy to understand? Because it's like Old School DnD and a lot of people have told me that it might be a bit misleading.

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I thought it was easy to understand. I feel like it's a well known enough concept. I've never played anything DnD but I've played RPGs and Rogue-likes that use dice rolls to determine the success of things. I think it's fine as is but I guess some tutorial text wouldn't hurt if it's something you're worried about.

Developer

Oh nice, thanks a lot for this feedback.

Dammmmmm. This game is great.I loved the amazing art.10/10

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much, really appreciated!

Developer

thanks a lot! <3

Submitted(+1)

of course the game had to crash at that exact moment

Submitted(+2)

BUT! I still had a fantastic time.
You wrote and drew ALL THAT in a matter of days? that's absolutely astonishing!
Sometimes it seems events or items were referenced that I didn't encounter, so I guess there are some logical errors/bugs.
extra bonus points for that amazing background music that is still playing eventhough the rest of the game crashed. still worth playing ;-)

Developer

Thank you very much!
Yes, as I said there were many things to do and at the deadline the game was rough, with the new patch we hope it is somewhat stable, but I'm really happy that you've enjoyed it even at that embional stage!

Developer

Yeah, we're sorry, we had some time management problems and some parts of the story were kinda rushed, however we've just released a new build where we've fixed a lot of bugs, including this one!

Submitted(+1)

I just played it again and now everything made actually sense ;-) it also meant I actually had to play it right to survive - thank god there was the fast forward button...

Developer

Glad you liked it! The Designed insisted to implement a fast forward button and it was life saving also during the debug!

I really wanted to clear a good ending, I really did, but I'm afraid I ran into a few too many bugs/crashes at various points near the middle or the end and I'm not sure I can proceed. Without a save function, it got to be a bit too much for me to keep trying.

The "hide" option at the "marked place" crashes about half the time when it tries to roll the dice (but only there. Other dice rolls were fine).
And the end (or near the end, I'm guessing) of Lucretia and Lillith's routes both simply stop proceeding. For example, on the line about "a human and a demon laughing together for the first time in history," I would click and it wouldn't proceed, even though the game hadn't crashed. I think going to sleep also froze the game, after I had spent time with Karen only.

I'd like to set all that aside, and tell you all that you did an awesome job regardless!!! The art is excellent and there's a surprising amount of content! I'll admit I sometimes found it a bit hard to follow what was happening in some scenes, but the writing was very entertaining.

I hope the bugs I experienced are limited mostly to me, because this visual novel is super impressive for being done in 10 days (especially considering they coded their own engine), and I encourage anyone reading this to give it a try!!

Developer(+2)

Hi, thanks a lot for all suggestions, we are working hard to fix all bugs we are going to release a second hotfix by tomorrow (I hope).
However thanks again for your words and tips.

Submitted(+1)

If you do, I am definitely willing to give it another shot!

Submitted(+1)

Just wanted to let you know that the hotfix worked for me, and I was able to clear the game! Thanks!

Developer

Glad to hear it, did u like the endings?

Submitted(+1)

Admittedly, I only did Karen's ending, but yes, I enjoyed it! I get the feeling you all had a lot of fun making this together. You should consider doing  NaNoRenO next year!

Developer

Karen Best Girl imo.

Oh nice, I didn know it we will consider it for sure!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much, unfortunately we are aware there are still many bugs, we're trying to fix those as soon as possible. Thanks for the support!

Submitted(+1)

Great job. This was confirmation that I make bad decisions in life and in games :D

Developer

Thank you very much, glad you liked it!

I am the best statue!

Developer

You are THE statue!

Submitted (1 edit) (+2)

Georgeous art!. I really wish you could save or have some kind of checkpoints.

Developer

Thank you very much! What was your favourite if I can ask?

Submitted(+2)

The castle background was really impressive (at first I thought it was on fire), but the lava part of the cave also was stunning. Of the characters, Lilith was the most eye catching.
