Well put together scene, vibe and mechanic! Really loved the little sounds the animals make when you pick them up. Great work on such an ambitious game jam!

Nice game with amazing graphics! The game was really buggy for me, so sadly I couldn't really play it. But the game looks really amazing and the concept too, so if you guys make like an updated version, I'd be happy to play it!
(Also it would be cool if you guys could try out my game too ^^)
Thanks for checking out our game! Sorry that it was buggy for you. would you mind describing what kind of bugs you were experiencing, so that we can fix them in the updated version? I know a lot of people were having trouble with the graphics setting being set too high when the game first opens. if its that, maybe try lowering the graphics setting in the game main menu and see if that helps.
and yes, I will check out your game right now!
Very pretty game.
It's a cool mechanic playing the beats to the song, probably needs a bit more explaining. I initially thought that each beat would fill up as I entered keys but it left gaps inbetween. Probably needs a bit more tutorialising on how to play a song.
Very very pretty game, the dinosaurs singing is really cute, everything just seemed to move kind of slowly.
This is a really neat game! The graphics are incredible and the audio is really cool with all the monsters singing their own song. The gameplay of having to identify monsters by their tune and then play a song for them is really creative and fun. I also really like the Ouroboros in the sky as a reference to the theme. Unfortunately, the game doesn't fit the theme super well imo besides that with the end cutscene not working. But this is still a really cool experience and I would love to finish it once you get all the bugs ironed out!
thank you so so much for playing, and for your thoughtful feedback. We are currently working on fixing all the bugs as I'm typing this and we plan to release the finished version on steam within the next few weeks. Honestly, you're totally right about the theme of the jam not being totally baked into the game concept. the ending cutscene/dialogue helps tie it together a bit, but since that didn't make it into the game it's hard to feel the connection.
Again, really appreciate you playing our game and your feedback. We're really looking forward to releasing the finished version.
At first the art threw me off as I'm really not used to the style, but I came to really like this uniqueness and in the end I'm amazed and am wondering how you came up with this, nice take !
I also believe that this is the first game I saw this JAM thinking about musics to complement the theme and it does work out greatly, well done !
I had some framerate issues but nothing much, and also at the beginning of the game, there's a yellow code warning popping on the up top of the screen
Cool game, loved the graphics and the sounds, the gameplay was a bit slow for a game jam but I liked it and I can see it turning into some chill story-driven game, it is not so clear what to do when start playing but after talking to the old guy I figured it out, I had fun, nice job!
Theme is a bit vague, but all the other stuff is amazing! Game is so relaxing and I like the music. The concept is also quite unique. I love it! Great job
Welcome to the Menagerie. We have been waiting for you.
This build is still very much a work in progress, so we wanted to explain a few things that might not be clear/obvious in this build..
Controls
WASD = Move
SHIFT = RUN
TAB + Arrow keys = SING
LEFT CLICK = Interact
RIGHT CLICK = Scroll Dialogue
Graphics
If you have an average computer like me and run into FPS problems, try lowering the graphics setting in the opening menu.
UI
There are some problems with the Pocket Score UI in the build we submitted. If you play this game, please make sure to jot these songs down somewhere beforehand! This will of course be fixed later but we can't submit a new build until the game jam is over.
Songs:
Song of Calming = Up, right, left, down
Song of Grounding = Down, Left, Right Down (edited)
Song of Slowing = Up, Down, Left, Down
Song of Revealing = Left Right Left Up
Thank you EVERYONE for checking out our world!
BUGS
The final cutscene doesn't load properly =( however if you get all 8 monsters and let the game run for about 2 minutes after talking to the old man you can experience a kind of cool cursed buggy cutscene before it freezes in place. it is truly creepy.
THANK YOU for visiting our world. We hope you enjoy the experience.
Really nice game. The sound work is phenomenal with the adaptive music with things like the low drums coming in around the center of the map and the animal sounds getting added onto that.
Unfortunately the default visual settings were a lot for my computer to handle and the game was extremely laggy but the visuals in the game were awesome at default settings and are really nice to look at. The lower graphic settings fixed the lag but tended to take a massive hit to the visuals
Thanks so much for your kind words about the game. Feels really good to have those little details about the audio implementation be noticed. Also, thats good for us to know that the graphics settings were an issue. we definitely want it to be beautiful AND run smoothly. really appreciate your feedback.
Very good game! The sound is stunning. One of the best I've played so far. :D
