I quite enjoyed this actually- that mechanic of becoming a ghost and getting more momentum was a lot of fun. I would say that maybe after the first level that you do it though you can probably make it skip the "intro" of becoming a ghost for more seamless gameplay, but honestly it didn't really take me out of it regardless. Fun gameplay, pretty good use of mechanics, and I'll admit the music is pretty damn catchy. Nice work!

How does your game fit the theme?
If you die you get a second chance and become a ghost. The end of your life starts a new beginning.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes

I think it's a really nice touch actually, but maybe setting it so it only happens once with the long animation puts a ton of emphasis, then once that's "flipped" having it swap to a shorter one for every time after that would increase ease of use without taking away that initial "wow" moment of introducing the mechanic!
Excited to see what else you make btw!
You are right, this game is pretty hard. I especially enjoyed how the ghost form works, how Player must use collisions to elevate themselves and how to use gliding smartly. The human form needs more work, it feel sluggish and sometimes can't jump over some platforms. Collision thing mostly but sometimes I died by this and that didn't feel good.
You did a really good job with music, it doesn't feel repetitive and is quite entertaining. Sounds on the other hand needs to be louder. I set slider to the same value and music is still louder than sfx. You should look more into how sounds works (it looks like a logarithm).
What a cool idea for a platformer! I love the central mechanic here. Excellent design on easing the player into all the different platforming elements you created, and the overall polish with animations was great to see as well! Great work!
Good platformer with cool ghost mechanics, but it feels like sometimes when you die the mechanic glitches and doesn't push you away
I really like the concept for this game, you get a lot of mileage out of it and I think it's cool to see if you can recover when accidentally dying, making it a one time use before you die again is pretty fun.
I think the one thing I'd really like to see different is the player reaching their apex a little bit faster and staying there a little bit longer, would help a lot with game feel.
Some polish on audio, graphics & difficulty curve would be great. Otherwise it was a nice game, full of different mechanics, wish I wasn't so bad so I could get to see more of it ^^ Not really willing use the cheat mode for that!
Thanks for your feedback! I also had school, piano and guitar lessons, so I didn't had that much time to do polishing in the difficulty curve, some of it was really crunched. Graphics isn't my strongest side, so I guess I'm okay with that, but how could I improve on the audio? I'm pretty curious about that ^^. I'm glad you enjoyed my game! I'll make sure to check out yours too right away!
The music gets quickly overwhelming, and I don't know if all sounds really fit, but that's my opinion on the matter ^^
As for the graphic, I feel like there is just no sprite for the walls appearing/disappearing when you die, and the graphic style doesn't seem unified.
I mean, that's a great job for a solo dev, especially with stuff to do on the side. I had the full week free for my game personally and I wouldn't say it's better than yours.
Occasionally the ghost wouldn't gain extra momentum when dying, I noticed this mostly with the level where it's a a bunch of boosters and the spikes on the side of the wall which made it kind of frustrating. I like the concept and the levels were cleverly designed!
Had a LOT of fun with this game! graphics, music, game design all amazing, and I LOVED th how you used the theme! my only wish is that there was another way to return from ghost mode, so th player could use it more cratively and not just in pre-planned places :)
Amazing game, good job!
very interesting take on the theme, the death - boost jump was kind of hard for me to predict but the quick restart made up for that. I did have fun playing .
Nice concept. The player felt a tiny bit floaty to me. The mechanics are really good.
Cool game! I found myself wishing that the platforming controls were a little tighter, but that's really just a preference thing. The art was also neat. I thought the transition effect was very good, although, I'm not sure how well the tileset mixed with the player art style. Overall nice game! :)
Awesome game! I like mechanics that the ghost can't jump but can glide!
nice work. love the mechanic of switching between ghost and human. i got stuck on the level with the first rose, the jump angles were very specific and i did get almost to the end one time but i screwed it up and had to start from the beginning. maybe a check point there when you turn human again half way through the level would have been helpful for me. also, loved the music!
