Wow. This really hit the mark in every single category. Super impressive for a team of two, and a masterpiece in the context of this Jam. Good job!!

Warioware! <3 Cool minigames! Wasn’t sure what I was doing wrong on the doctor one, but had fun

Really fun game with nice pixel art and music. Good Job!

My current record is 42.

Really inspiring and awesome!!

Really great game. Love all the microgames and how they all are different clichés, fits the theme very well. All the games are fun and unique as well. Great job!

I'm really picking the low-hanging fruit here, but I love the cleverness of the overall design. Each game is a cliché? That's the cat's pajamas. And I appreciate the level of detail - everything from how the music sped up as the timer was going down, to the very cliché Wilhlem Scream when the doctor takes a dive.

I did have a similar problem to some of the other reviews with using WASD instead of arrows on a few things. But once I figured that out, it was off to the races.

Great job all! Very fun game, one of the best here.

Really nice work! The visuals are awesome -- super smooth transitions and animations. And the mini-games are all individually really memorable and fun. Loved it :)

Great spin to the theme! Took me some time to learn the controls of some of the minigames, but I think they are executed creatively. Managed to get a score of 33.

The difficulty curve feels pretty good to me once I've understood how to play it. It is also clear when I cleared/failed a minigame. There is ample sound effects to make actions feel responsive. The graphics are conveys information clearly most of the time and does not feel out of place.

This overlaps with other comments, but some troubles I've encountered are:

- 'Don't shoot XXX' made me think that I should not do anything. I couldn't really tell that one of them is a messenger since they are only shown for a second.

- Didn't know I could move during 'Read between the line' since arrow keys are not included in the controls at the bottom right of the screen. Also, the person who added hippopotamus to the list is a sadist.

- None of the minigames except the apple one requires repeatedly tapping keys, so it took me a few tries to understand what I should do. It is also possible to use both the 'A' and 'Left Arrow' keys to blast the doctor away.

Overall, it's still a really fun and enjoyable game. Good job developing it!

I see a fellow mini-game enjoyer! Nicely done! We nearly went the Wario Ware style micro-games route, too. Glad to see that path fully realized by someone else!

The breadth of games here is pretty good. You'll eventually see repeats, but only once you've gotten the hang of a few of them. I had a lot of difficulty figuring some of them out though. I like having the controls on screen between games would have helped adjust. I had the most problems with the following games:

Don't Shoot .. the messenger - I thought it was "Don't Shoot The Sheriff" so I kept failing and not really understanding what the guy in blue was. For those games, I assumed you had to shoot the unique one and the guy in blue looked like he was brandishing a sword at a glance. Also, WASD worked for all other games, but not this one. That was a little frustrating.

An Apple A Day - It looks like tapping is the quickest way to win this? I failed a lot until I realized the arrow keys worked for the Don't Shoot game above. By tapping both A and left arrow, I won easily. But holding a single one, which was the intuitive solution, didn't work.

Read Between - the case sensitivity on this is a killer. I realized afterward that your controls said case sensitive, but it still felt pretty bad to lose when I thought I had it figured. Plus, using arrow keys to move didn't feel great with being able to do most game with WASD. Unsure if there's a better solution though. Maybe the line slowly moves up/down on it's own?

By the end, I got a highscore of 24. Up from 1 on my first try lol.

Congrats on finishing your game. Keep making games!

Thanks a lot for this review! I'm very grateful for the tons of feedback you just gave us!

I completely ignored that the WASD could be used instead of the arrow keys. That makes sense given how Unity's new input system works but it haven't crossed my mind before you mentioned it. I will have to check it out, but we probably used a function that called specifically for the arrow keys on the "messenger" game.

For the apple game you indeed have to mash the left button to push the doctor. After the jam, we agreed that this game could be simplified by starting in the pushing position and simply having to mash the space bar. There is no real point in leaving the player the option to move around.

I'm carefully taking all your very good  comments into account. Thanks again for your review (and for your incredible game as well!).

(by the way 24 is a solid high score ;) )

darn that new input system! Gets me every time!

Very well done! I like the fact, that you don't know what to do first, and then when you win the game, you discover the cliché. Also if you guessed the cliché, you have a more precise idea about what you have to do. Very well done, and great variety of minigames! Congrats!

Warioware vibes, very well done.  I couldn't get the read between the lines at all.  Is there a way to move the papers out of the way?  It shows those arrows and looks like you might be able to.  Good humor, tons of clichés, very nice job overall

Developer

Hi there and thanks for your review! Just to let you know, the paper will move with the up and down arrows, that will allow you to reveal the hidden word. Thanks again for playing :)
