Very nice game, the 3D art and the music were both really good and the gameplay was fun as well.

For the first time in this jam I think I have nothing negative to say, impressive.

Also, the end screen really got me, I waiter for like a minute just staring the screen if anything would happen... nothing ever happened XD

Very fun and addictive game, I really like the arcade feel of it. The graphics, sounds and effects play out very well too!

Only thing that felt a bit weird was the fact that moving up and down was bound to the W and S keys. For me it would've made more sense if they were E and Q. And I know this is probably just a me issue but it would be nice if those were also options for vertical movement.

Overall the game is really solid and has to be one of my favorites in the jam. Great job!

Nice game! The idea is fun and the music really adds to the game, the art style is also appealing.

The camera was a bit weird in my opinion, like it kinda made sense to position it to look towards the movement but sometimes I just wanted to look backwards. Moving the mouse adjusted the camera angle a bit I think, but in my opinion it would've been better to just capture the cursor and have the camera angle fully determined by the mouse.

The camera design is just a small thing, overall a good game. Great job!

Thanks a lot for playing!

The card level... well let's say I learned a lot from it. Yeah the implementation of the mechanics sucks badly. To complete the level [spoiler alert] you just have to put all the cards to the rightmost slot. Although now that I think it, it doesn't even make that much sense. Well I thought it was funny back when making the level.

First of all thank you for playing the game. The idea of adding an indicator to the items that would be grabbed and to the places that the items would go sounds actually pretty good. I think going to implement such system in a future update possibly through a shader that highlights the the items or the places or something. So yeah, thanks for the feedback, it really help :)

Thank you for playing and giving feedback! The hand mechanic I have commented my opinion on the hand mechanics in other replies so I'm not going to repeat myself here.

Wow, this was a really cool game! Very enjoyable game mechanics, good VFX  and SFX, and an incredibly clean design. The level design was really well done too, the difficulty adjusts just right so that the player never feel frustrated. This game also reminds me a lot of Super Hot, you probably got inspiration from there ;)

Thanks for the positive feedback, always nice to hear that.

For the hands, yeah I think it can be a bit confusing. I didn't really think the user intuitivity when making this game. Kinda just went the way that felt the most logical at that time.

Aww man I completely missed the fact that the settings menu was scrollable. Funny how when writing the previous comment, I double checked to make sure that there wasn't that option XD.

I just spent like 3 hours playing this game... and the best part is that I only got to the third level. Truly a difficult game, at least for me. The idea is cool and the graphics look good. The ball movement could be better in my opinion. I think the player should have more control of the ball, so for example stopping at higher speed would be faster. Overall a pretty fun experience (until you get really frustrated and rage quit).

Also it's nice to see other Unreal games here, I didn't know if anyone else was using UE here XD.

I never played Goldeneye, but this game is still incredible. The graphics style matches the Goldeneye style perfectly (as far as I can tell from the Karl Jobst speedrun videos of the game). And the sounds are also good. The gameplay felt good except the fact that there was no way to adjust mouse sensitivity, so I had to manually lower my DPI.

The twist at the end was really good, I a big fan of horror games and I really didn't see that coming. Great job!

A fun casual driving game. The car movement feels incredibly good in my opinion, and the procedural world generation is a cool idea (I personally haven't seen it ever before implemented in a racing game). Very nice game!

For me the timer felt a bit off, like I was just driving casually and suddenly the time runs out. I suggest there could be a setting to disable it. Other thing is that the places (biomes?) seemed to come always in the same order, I think it would be better if they came randomly. And finally, if you continue the development of the game further, it would be nice if there were some VFX and SFX just to bring that more polished feel.

But either way a very good experience, nice job!

Wow, it took me ages to solve the first puzzle. Looks like a skill issue.

Anyhow, the game work... well that's about it for the positives. I can't really get it how is this related to the theme, like this seems to be just the good old puzzle game where you have to arrange the tiles. In fact how is the name related to the actual game? Then for the music, what an absolute masterpiece. No but it was actually pretty funny for a moment, then it started to be very annoying so I clicked the weird dark rectangle to turn it off.

And lastly, I really don't get the action game thingy, like yeah I can move and that's about it. Most of the time the bug thing is just glitching between the corners, and then without warning it just teleports to a random side of the map and dashes straight out, sometimes even hitting me.

Well yeah, that's my feedback. A bit critical but I like to say things straight. If you are someone with not that much gamedev experience, it's pretty cool that you got the game done. Without a game engine even ;)

Holy man what an addictive game, I just spent like the last 2 hours playing and it felt like nothing. The gameplay feels incredibly polished: all the animations, sounds and special effects. Overall an awesome experience.

And btw I'm also from Finland :)

Really fun game with nice pixel art and music. Good Job!

My current record is 42.

Wow, this game is unplayable. I constantly get stuck, so I have to manually quit the game and start all over. Maybe if it was that you only get stuck in specific places with bad luck it wouldn't be that bad. But I can't even progress in the second level (after getting the first set of 3 keys). I tried like 5 times but no matter what, the guy always gets stuck in the upper wall.

If we ignore the collision issues, then the game is pretty decent, as far as I could play. The look around  mechanism is pretty cool and the hiding thing even got laughing a bit. Guy just disappears only leaving back a jacket and the guards doesn't suspect it at all XD.

Wow! This has to be one of my favorites in the jam.

The graphics are visually appealing, the music is good and the gameplay is really fun. Great job!

Also, the easter egg in the park level game me a heart attack for some reason XD

Great music, clever theme interpretation and pretty nice gameplay. Overall a solid game! The start menu is really smooth, good UX and the animations were a nice touch. In the starting sequence, it would have been nice if the game had told me how to move forward in the conversation (Enter) although it can be found out pretty quickly by just testing all the reasonable keys.

For the actual game. I think in the first part some indicator of where the all the characters are would have been nice, maybe arrows pointing in their directions or even a minimap.
And finally the movement, in my opinion the movement of the characters felt a bit irresponsible. The way it is currently implemented (I think) is so that you have to hold the movement key for it to move to that direction a bit later. I think it should be so that the moment you press a movement key, the character would start to move.

But yeah, as stated before an overall good experience, nice job!

Overall pretty good game. The idea is fun and the game plays nice. I especially like the movement, the air control gives the possibility to hit a car almost everytime if you are skilled enough. In my opinion the game could've hade more content, but I understand that the tight time constraints didn't allow for that.

Although WebGL build has some issues, the desktop version is well. So to anyone who still hasn't played this, just download the game.

Wow, what a great game. The gameplay is really fun and the graphics style is oh so good ^_^. Great job!

I think there are a few things that could be improved:
- The dialogs on the beginning of some level are repeated when you restart, I think it would be better to only show them for the first time
- It is sometimes hard to tell if the bullet is going to hit a vampire, I think some kind of indication could be used in the vampires that the bullet is going hit
- Sometimes the mirrors seemed to not ricochet the bullet in a way the player could expect from the appearance (aiming in the edges of some mirrors), this might be because of the underlying detection mechanism differs from the pixelated sprite assets ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The gameplay is surprisingly addictive for such a simple game (although sometimes it gets impossible). I'm impressed by the fact that this was made in one day and as a first game for you.

Nice stuff, keep it going!

Overall really solid game: Clever interpretation of the theme, addictive gameloop, and the icons of the people were funny looking :)   Well done!

Only one thing I can really complain is the audio getting glitchy when posting danker memes. But I see many other people complaining about it here so no need for me to get more in depth.

Thank you for playing the game. I'm so happy to hear that you liked the game so much!

For the audio I was planning add some, but then I just simply ran out of time. (The quick solution was to add the splash screen at the start.)  But now that I think it, yeah the game needs audio.... I'm pretty confident that I'm going to add some sounds and maybe even music to the game soon.

Getting feedback like this really makes my day and motivates me to keep developing games... Truly means a lot :)

(1 edit)

Thanks for playing the game! It's wonderful to see people like the visuals, I really didn't know if they were any good.

For the problems with picking  and placing things, I really think I made a bit of design mistake... The idea was to message to the player, by having no crosshair on the screen, that the direction they are looking at doesn't matter, instead the picking up and placing is actually based on the position of the hand. So when you are picking up an item with your right hand, the game chooses whatever item is the closest to your right hand (same logic of course applies for the left hand). And when you are placing an item, it goes to the object closest the to the actual item in your hand.

Ok so I was just about to click the Post button when I realized that I probably misunderstood what you were saying. I thought that "I swear I was \"facing it\" all the time and getting no credit for it." refers to the sentence before, so that the picking up and placing items was hard because you were facing them. When in reality it probably refers to the level "Let's face it". fp. For the problem in the facing level, I don't know what it is, whenever I play the level, the detection system works fine. Well, in any case I'm still gonna leave the explanation of the item pick up system there.

First of all, thanks a lot for playing the game! I'm very happy that you liked it, because I had no idea of what would people think of it. This was my first time publishing a game for a potentially larger audiance, and the feedback I get really means a lot! This was also a great learning experience for me:

I think the most important thing I learned was that leaving much of the stuff for the last days isn't really a good idea... (The game was about to have sounds but I under estimater the effort needed to get the other stuff working. ) I really should've spred the work more equally, that would've even given me time to do some proper play testing.

So yeah, making the game was a lot of fun. Before this I hadn't really done much of these artistic things, but now I made all the textures and models myself (well except that one bench made by my friend who is now seemingly my mom), and I'm pretty proud of them.

Anyhow thank you again. You gave me a lot of motivation to participate in more game jams in the future!

hi mom, what are you doing here
