Good game. I have a feedback tho. When player left clicks and you are creating a bullet, you give speed to the bullet in the right direction. But bullet's speed value depends on how far you click.
I guess you didn't normalize the difference of sceen position bullet's initial position.
Therefore when clicking close, bullet is slow. When clicking far, bullet is fast. If you just normalize the vector you use in your calculations, that would be fixed.
I assumed this was unintentional since real guns would shoot everywhere in same speed but if this was intentional, you can ignore this comment. Good shooter game overall :)
An interesting concept especially with the storyline for it was a bit funny. Though I don't really see it in the game too much? I mean obviously it seems like you're fighting some sort of army and the robot at the end is your friend I assume, even with the evil face. But not much in terms of direct collaboration. I mean besides the plan to take over the world that happens post win screen.
The only real issue I had was that the camera was weirdly zoomed in, I'm not entirely sure why, if taht was on purpose. But due to that it made it quite difficult to get an idea of where enemies were when they're not really close to you, which makes dodging quite difficult. maybe if it was zoomed out a bit more it could help? That way it would give a bit more time to plan around projectiles and help the somewhat cramped spaces let you dodge more.
Although on the other hand those spaces aren't too cramped when you ignore the trees. Which were a little weird to be honest. Mostly in the fact that their hitbox takes up all of the space or almost. Which makes it a little difficult to tell where you can and can't walk with them sometimes. I feel like if maybe it was a bit more clearly defined, possibly as just the base then it would help?
Overall though there's some decent top down shooter mechanics, some nice audio and a relatively well done art style throughout the game which was interesting to see. Not too much enemy variety using it but it is a jam game so it's not super surprising.
I liked the game! It has a great balancing on the difficult of avoiding enemies bullets and trying to hit them. Good luck!
Cool consistent vibe to the artwork :) the cooldown time for shooting slows things down a lot - and makes it pretty difficult once you get up to the tanks where it's just a bullet fest... Nice starting point for a game though!
Nice game, I loved the sound track and especially wowie at the beginning xD . Now that I see music source it makes, I get it.
Overall fun game
For me this game is too repetitive to be fun, it's just the same 2 enemies over and over with nothing changing. It's a nice effort though, making any game in such a short time is an accomplishment.
looks like this game is too difficult for me, i had really hard time even when i decided to not fight anyone and just rush through. nice basic and simple game that could be expanded with all sort of mechanics and different types of weapons and enemies, with better art i think this could be a great game
Control and shooting mechanic works well -- simple and intuitive. Gameplay is definitely too difficult for how static everything is though -- no sense of reward given to the player for progressing.
I ended up charging through and just avoided fighting and just wanted to see the end. Unclear how this matches the theme "collaborate" with AI, since the only AI in gameplay are enemies. Decent start though.
Speedrunning trick: If you get shot just right the bullet will glitch out and give you a crazy speed boost.
Nice smooth game, however it's not obvious what parts of the environment is solid and what is not.
Pretty cool game keep it up :) unfortunatly i couldnt find the Ai, and eventually made my way out of the map :D
