I haven’t planned for it, but (in theory) its just a different button in the build menu, so maybe. I’d have to look more into if there are any platform specific issues with UE5.

Thanks for the feedback! If you check out some of my newer videos I was actually able to fix the two bugs mentioned, though I will need to add arms and joints with IK eventually anyway.

Have a good one!

In response to requests to be able to try out the controls in their current state, I have uploaded a file called InputTest which will allow you to do just that.

While the controls are highly subject to change based on feedback and new features, keep in mind that it is intentional for the controls to have some amount of “jank”. Specifically, where restrictions or awkwardness add to the “feel” of operating a weapon.

The controls shouldn’t be anywhere near as bad as something like Surgeon Simulator or QWOP, where fighting the controls is the point. But they also shouldn’t be expected to live up to twitch shooter standards either.

The current control scheme is as follows:

   Default:
      Quit Game - Escape
Load Single Action Revolver Level - 1
Load Double Action Revolver Level - 2
      Jump - Space
Use Left Hand - LMB (Hold)
Use Right Hand - RMB (Hold)
      Look - Mouse
      Movement - WASD
      Sprint - Shift (Hold)

   Using Hand:
      Pick up/Put down Object - F

   Holding Object:
Ready Left Object - LMB (Hold)
Ready Right Object - RMB (Hold)

   Readying Object:
Aim Mode - Caps Lock (Hold) Note: LMB/RMB can be released
Manip Mode - X (Hold) Note: LMB/RMB can be released
      Cock Hammer - Mouse Scroll
Toggle Safety - Mouse Middle Click

   Aiming:
Activate Object - LMB/RMB (Tap) Note: The off-hand will operate the hammer, the main-hand will operate the trigger
      Cock Hammer - Mouse Scroll
Toggle Safety - Mouse Middle Click

   Manipulating:
      Rotate Object - Mouse
      Toggle Pitch/Roll - Shift (Hold)
Touch Object - LMB/RMB (Hold) Note: Only the off-hand can be used to touch, the main-hand will operate the trigger
Grab Component/Object - F (Hold) Note: LMB/RMB can be released
      Cock Hammer - Mouse Scroll
Toggle Safety - Mouse Middle Click

   Holding Component:
      Move/Rotate - Mouse

Thank you for feedback, that’s a good point about the hunter vision.

Thanks! Unfortunately I couldn’t be there due to time zone differences.

I’m glad you liked it, thank you.

I think it’s okay, it doesn’t take anything away from the game. And it’s fun to just add it to the lore that the player is secretly a vampire lol

I felt like I couldn’t perform actions as quickly as I wanted to. Maybe a box select would be better, but I did like being able to split the armies quickly.

The idea of a fast-paced survival game for a jam does get the brain gears turning. I guess you always have to consider whether you’re making a game to do well in a jam, versus learning/exploring concepts.

Totally agree with your feedback, I originally made this in 3 days for the Wowie Game Jam and kind of burnt myself out. I should have used the extra time for this jam to make the platforming around the shelves feel much better, but [insert excuses].

And you’re right, doing what your boss tells you is the trap. I also needed to figure out how to make that more clear to players…

Nice tight controls.

Very meatboy.

Controls are a little too-slidey but a really good game otherwise.

Not really sure what the controls are, the motorcycles just fly randomly no matter what I do.

A little too hard for me, but no complaints otherwise.

Could easily see this winning. Not sure why the menu can’t use the mouse even though the rest of the game does.

Cool, the controls are kind of frustrating though.

Tutorial should be in the game. Since it’s just ‘click on stuff’. But good concept.

I really liked the small amount I saw of the game. But there needs to be an option to turn off screen shake, it made me too sick to keep playing.

I really like the idea of the duck pushing the egg out with such force that she can double jump, lol

Probably the most complete game I’ve played so far in this jam.

I got a very good ending!

A bit of lag spike when hit sometimes, and the angle of objects is kind of hard to determine. But cool aesthetic and idea.

Cool, short, sweet, neat idea, reminds me of MSX games.

UI is sized wrong so I can’t play the game properly, also why not Enter to submit guess?

The post processing effects are distracting and the screen is a little too small. Also if you die the game just freezes and you have to reload the page?

I can’t move the blocks to the side more than one time when it first spawns? Seems like a cool idea, but I couldn’t play it properly.

Really slow to play unless I’m not seeing a speed up button.

Cool idea, might be a little difficult for the color blind though.

Nice game

I really can’t see around the car to where I’m going.

I felt like I was fighting the camera the whole time since it was constantly zooming in and out. Aesthetic is nice, but kind of takes too long with nothing happening.

Controls were a little awkward but it’s hard to explain exactly why. Is it canon that the player is a vampire (no reflections)?

Pressing enter just restarts the game? I couldn’t figure out how to kill anyone. There’s a lot of down time where you’re just waiting for a target to move. But I like the idea, could be cool with more refinement.

I just get a black screen.

It requires a little too much clicking, I want to hold the button down to fire.

Can’t access, looks like game is unpublished.

Good concept, controls feel a little awkward though.

I like the menu’s, takes me back to the 90’s. Controls are very precise, sometimes it’s hard to tell what will hurt you.
