very challenging - I could go bonkers playing this (but in a good way!) The undo is a nice touch - I probably didn't make good tactical use of it though!

Developer

Thank you! It took our programmers some time to make the undo but I feel like it was worth it, the gameplay feels a lot smoother with it! Glad you enjoyed!

WOW. A lot to say here.

LOVE the art!

LOVE the interface, the borders around the two halves of the screen are really cool!

The mechanics are really fun and easy to grasp!

It was a good level of difficulty for a puzzle game, it was satisfying to find the solution to each level (even though I'm not a fan of puzzle games!)

It would be easier if the orders buttons were just on the screen in one place all the time, instead of having to press E and then click on the character (plus it would fix not seeing the buttons when the character is at the top of the screen).

It would be nice to not see the text at every level restart, but hey that probably depends on the person.

The undo button is a very nice touch! Very convenient for the player.

I would love having more feedback for what a button does, like showing some sort of current particles towards what it did, or flashing the objects that got changed (especially the lightning barriers).

I love the teenage twist when Aye starts being a rebel and wears a jacket and refuses to follow orders hahaha

And the feeling when Aye becomes autonomous! It shifts the gameplay around in a really fun way, and is still a challenge! Expertly done.

P.S: Clever name :)

P.P.S: Can't wait to see you in Jonas's recap video ;)

Thank you so much!!! Your critique is super helpful too! Glad you liked the game and thanks for playing!

We plan on fixing and polishing the game post post jam, and we also have a few more ideas that we couldn't implement that may add to the final experience :D

Thank you for the stellar review and useful feedbacks! We'll make sure to take those into account!

I will definitely check out the update when it's out! :)))

Very nice challenging and clear puzzles, Aye never stays at the same life stage for too long and I found myself wishing I got more time with Aye in that stage and yet simultaneously so very proud of how they grew , I guess it made me feel like a mother to them.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! that's exactly the feeling we were going for and I'm glad it came across!

Pretty fun game, it gets kinda hard pretty fast lol (i'm not a big puzzle game player tbh)

Really liked the twist of telling the robot commands! The only think i'm not a big fan of is the visuals for the levels themselves (like the tileset and whatnot), characters are looking cute though :)

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the game!

I like how the companion changes the behavior and needed to solve puzzles differently. This is well done. Nice job!

It's amazing how you introduce so many new concepts without making the game overloaded. None of the levels were conundrums, but none of them are boring. Great level design.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Glad you liked it! :D

Developer

Thanks! The levels were designed by our programmers who are also amazing puzzle designers! I'm super glad you like our game!

Love the artwork, I wish I could press and hold the button and it keeps moving in that direction instead of tapping it over and over again :) Difficulty curve is quite steep (maybe just for me) :D

Either way, well done and I had fun <3

Developer(+2)

Thank you!

Hopefully, difficulty will be adjusted post jam (and I take note of the button comment)

Happy you liked it <3

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The Artwork was done by Aisrosel and I, it was super fun to work on the art together so I'm glad you like it! :D

It was really funny! Thanks for game

You're welcome, glad you liked it :D

Have fun, but too difficult for me... Easy  to learn, hard to master

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your comment :D

Yeah, some levels are quite hard right now. We will try to adjust the difficulty curve in the post jam update!

Glad you still had some fun though!

Definetly a great game!

The "bad":
- i feel like the default unity font text, lack of animations and other "juice", and flat-ish level look don't do the game full justice
- i got stuck for a while on the first level that let me give orders, because i just didnt understand how the mechanic works. "okay" "okay" "okay" then do something! haha. i just wasnt moving and tried the spacebar before giving orders wich resulted in nothing.

and the good!

- amazing theme fit
- actually fun gameplay and well designed puzzles
- game felt like it was the right length, maybe a 30% more could have fit, but for a 3 day jam this is just great
- the changing robot kept the game fresh (and were generally cool moments)

Overall, a solid WWOOOOWIIEEEEEE and a half out of 10

Edit: i forgot to mention, no bugs! and the undo feature was an unecpected incredible thing! without it the game might have felt tedious. great job!

Developer(+2)

Glad you enjoyed it!

I agree with you regarding some of the polish, we spent a lot of time working on game systems (like Aye's behaviors, reactions, and the Undo system, which BTW was not agreeing with the pathfinding and orders for a looong time ^^) , and had to rush things like UI a bit to respect the deadline. We also couldn't really do blind playtesting, so I'll try to address the issue you had with the order system by editing the game description, to give new players helpful pointers.

We plan to rework the game a bit post jam if life permits, and we will hopefully address all those issues.

Thank you for your comment!

I'm glad you like our game! Thanks for all the helpful feedback too! :D

This is a really excellent game! It starts off very familiar, but the different stages Aye goes through really switches up the gameplay while still maintaining the core of what it's about. (I also enjoyed the moody teenager stage!) The moment I saw the commands you could give it after that initial stage, it really marked this as a top entry in the jam.

I can't really think of anything particular I would have liked to see otherwise; so all I'll say is nicely done!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, our programmers did a really great job with AI and level design! I'm glad you like our little game!

(The teen stage was my favorite one art and music wise lol, so I'm glad you like it!)
