Final Score 36210.

I thought I would get bored quick but then I just kept playing. It was so satisfying to dodge, clear and gain points. The cleaver animation was great and the music was spot on for the mood. the dice incorperation worked well. Great job all around. 15/15

I made it to 90700! Its a fun game, I just wish there was some more gameplay variety. The few mechanics there are, while really polished and fun at first, get boring after a while Other then that, its a very fun entry and the art is great. I also love the tile!

Had a lot of fun with this one. The art, music, and gameplay all complemented each other very well! I got 51580! I like that you used both meanings of dice!

Really fun and chaotic game. The atmosphere is there and the franticness of it all just accelerates over time leading to moments where you just have to hope that you can get a larger number.  The music really fits the vibe of the game as well and  the art itself is really cute. A few improvements that I would like to give is that it gets a little frustrating when you start to stack up the d4 cubes in end game and you have to constantly spam shift in order to use them as much as possible. I feel like it could be beneficial to possibly either make it toggleable or to simply add functionality to stacking up powerup cubes. In summary, great game and I had a blast playing it! -Sincerely, Henry_Hamster

Honestly, the toggling them is a great idea. My highest score was 60k but I was told by people who got over 200k that D4s drop like candy later. The drop rate is perfectly balanced (imo) for the early game but I need to reduce the drop rate for when there's 5000 sushi on screen. Great feedback. I'll definitely try these out. Thanks and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

My high score was 15890! I adore the art style. The sushi people are so cute! This game already feels so complete! Not sure what advice I can offer!

I enjoyed this a lot!  I really liked how chaotic yet manageable the game felt.  However, the cleavers seemed a little weak once I realized that I could use the d6 repeatedly.  I also enjoyed the music, and even got a score of 86410!

Developer

Yeah, the D6 is your primary attack. The cleaver is for emergencies. But that's awesome. I can't believe everyone's getting higher scores than me when I made the game XD

Something I really appreciate is that you implemented the RNG element in a way where it doesn't feel like it can screw you over, but it still feels very present and important. I loved blowing away full screens of enemies with the cleaver. Super cute art, too! Had a great time with this one!

Creative game, with pretty fun gameplay and good music. I did wish there was a low opacity indicator of the various distance, I had a poor judgement of what each roll could reach, before it was too late. Good Job!

I like the theme (art and music) of this game and it's a really fun concept! I liked the movement in this game and it was really fun taking risks of placing myself in tight spots and hoping for a good roll.

Very clever game, the die sounds make the rolls feel impactful and I like how you have to wait for the roll to complete, it adds an extra degree of skill to the game. I like the theming a lot, and as far as your interpretation of the theme, the gamble that you take as a player can feel risky and fun, even if it doesn't always. The variety of the powerups are fun too, though the key bind is a little weird. Well done!

Looks beautiful and makes for a fun time, but definitely would have liked to see more impact from the power-ups; I eventually ended up just relying on space for that sweet sweet AOE. Cool stuff fellow sushi-themers!

Great game! very creative take on the theme, and the music fits perfectly to the game style, I enjoyed it a lot.

Stunning visuals and a really funny take on the theme. Really great to see some more variety in the themes, characters and setting. I never imagined I'd be throwing cleavers at sentient sushi.

Loved it!

Very fun game. Unfortunately has a bug where the cleaver dissappears, and also the controls of constantly hitting space and shift could be bound better, but apart from that a very addicting game!

Could be really good with more time put into it.

Very fun and well presented!

The play on words is great - love the pixel art and music.

Really fun game! There is a bug where if you throw a knife when at the bottom of the screen it immediately disappears, but other than that it's really solid, well made, and an absolute blast the whole way through!

Love the double meaning of dice used in this game. It was a really fun game to play and I love the artwork and music.
