Use of the limitation
You swap between Moon, Earth and Jupiter gravity. You can jump much higher with moon gravity and fall slower. Jupiter gravity does the oposite, and Earth is just normal. You can also combo Moon->Jupiter, creating a damaging impact on the ground.

Cookies eaten
I had 5 small cookies for breakfast on Friday and Saturday, so 10.

Interesting concept! I included it in my Mini Jam 107 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

This was pretty good! I liked the idea of switching between different gravities, though the cooldowns made it less fun. Also, the fact that the moon and Jupiter is used in combination made the fact that they don't have equal cooldowns pretty annoying.

There were a few bugs (as expected in a game jam); the ones that were particularly annoying were that you can't jump if you're too close to a wall (or even a rat), and that the moon gravity sometimes didn't work (as in, the cooldown starts, but I'm still jumping normally).

I really like the idea of combining gravities as well; coming up with a good benefit of using higher gravity was quite clever! Though Earth gravity seems to be pointless, since that's what you're at when the others are on cooldown anyway. Maybe only being able to have one active at a time (but they last until switched) would be a good way of solving a few of these concerns I came across.

Anyway, it was pretty fun, so well done!

Hey Blodyx,

You should be super proud for this being your first game ever published! With more time and polish I would love to see your game get a full release. Like many others here are saying, the limitation imposed on your game created for a very unique way to move about the world. While of course the game jam was very short, I think if you gave the game a graphically appealing overhaul and tweaked some of the numbers around the cooldowns of the gravity system it would be perfect! It was rather frustrating when I missed a jump and had to just stand there for a few seconds waiting for a cooldown to go off. While it was just a user error and you could just say “get good” I think it would be more engaging having the player interacting with the game instead of sitting and waiting. Perhaps there could be a skill check after each jump that if performed correctly resets the cooldown immediately? Anyways, great work for this being your first go around! Hope to see a version of this game fully fleshed out some day!

Take care :)

Thank you! I really appreciate the time you put in your comment as well as the time you spent playing my game. I am not sure if a full version will be ever available, since I am lazy to do that, and I will work on other projects as well. But I can't thank you and everyone else who even if just a little bit enjoyed playing my game. It really makes me happy. So once again, thank you!

Nice first shot at making a game! It has some control issues, mostly related to the gravity mechanic, but is overall pretty alright.

Cool use of the limitation but as some other people already said the controls are a bit clunky. Not only that but i don't like how the gravity changes for only about 3 seconds. the timer that is shown is not even accurate. The gravity goes back to normal after half of the timer passed. Also the thing with jupiter and the moon to kill the rat did not work for me. Maybe i did something wrong.

It's not that the timer isn't accurate. It shows the cooldown of switching, not the duration. Cooldown is 5s and duration is 2,5s on both moon and jupiter gravity. And as for the combo, you have to jump as high as you can, i watched my friends play it and some of them strugled as well, so i guess i should have make it from smaller height. Thank you for your feedback!

Pretty cool use of limitation. j, k, and l keys are a bit clunky to use.
