This is fantastic super fun and innovative. Great art and music and really fun to play. I ran into a bug with the dinosaur level where the dino wouldn't reset but otherwise a super polished and fun experience.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!

BTW the reset is not a bug but by design :) but of course if people feel like its not right I'll probably change it if I further develop this. Thanks for your feed back!

This is a great entry! The tile-based logic is neat, and the puzzles got interesting pretty quick.

There were some UI issues which seemed to stem from being designed for portrait mode exclusively: If you fullscreen it on desktop, a bunch of the UI elements end up too big or off-screen. Since the UI isn't responsive, you may want to constrain it so the aspect ratio is constant regardless of the size.

There was also an issue where levels didn't fully reset when retrying, with some stuff either not moving back or not being replaced after being removed. I ended up getting stuck on the level with the dino and water/lava gates, I think bc of this bug.

Despite the issues, this was really fun, great job!

Resetting only character position and attributes was by design, but I guess it needs to be re-assessed since dying to reset became a puzzling thing... Anyhow, thank you so much for your great feedback, its super helpful!

Clever and fun idea, reminds me a bit of Baba is You combined with Puzzle & Dragon's mechanics. Although when I clicked the full screen button sometimes UI elements would go off screen and I couldn't read them anymore. I also would've liked being able to swap two tiles when you click and drag them onto each other.

Developer

thanks for playing! I gotta admit I never intended it to be on full screen and was meant to be on mobile but I just built it to webgl to submit to game jam, so thats why the ui were off when you go full screen. And thanks for the good idea, if I develop this further I will make sure to put in tile swapping!

I would honestly download the intro song that was really good.

Developer

Thank you! You can actually get the mp3s from github repo (assets > sound), but it may sound different because I tweaked the pitch a bit in unity to match the animations.

You did an amazing job learning pixel art, and garageband to come out with a great project like this.
The game is polished, art is perfect, music is great and text sound effects are wholesome.
The drag and drop mechanics are satisfying as well.

Developer

Thank you so much :) I'm glad you enjoyed playing!

Wow, your game is really a masterpiece! The graphics and the music are so good. And the game control is really innovative. How did you finish all these in one month?! amazing....

Developer

thank you so much for your kind words! I wish I had more time to make more stages, but yeah it was tough making it on my free time while still learning how to make pixel art and make music with garageband. But it was fun making it and I guess thats whats important at the end of the day. :)

Fun and unique puzzle game! I enjoyed the cute dialogue too :)

I had to replay the beginning twice to get my head around the way the tiles work, but that's on me for not reading properly the first time haha :D

Developer

Thank you for playing :) I will defintely try to make things alot more intuitive on my next project, and it was a good lesson to be learnt with your honest comment :) BTW Your project was awesome.

Neat and very cute and fun story telling mechanic. I like that at first it looked like it was going to be a simple "put the pieces in the right order and hit play to see it play out" only to realize that "no, this is how you control the game by moving these piece" plus allowing me to continuously have play ON while I move things around gave me an extra self-imposed challenge :D

very glad you enjoyed it! Yeah initially it wasnt planned to be like this but a bug in my coding introduced me to realtime and it felt okay and went with it :) Thank you for playing!

This is a really fun and unique game. I especially like the opening and fusing animations. There are also quite a few music in it and they all reflect on the level well.

I think that there isn't enough time/opportunities to get familiar with the new tiles. I would be more comfortable when I get to use the same tiles a few more times before introducing a new one. The reset is also a little confusing since it's different the reset button in most puzzle games.

Still, I really like the game and its mechanics. Great job!

thank you for your great feedback. I totally agree with you and i guess my greediness couldn't be resisted to add more new features/tiles than to have a smooth learning curve. :)
