Nice Metroidvania with some good ideas. The controls/movement could've been a little tighter to my taste, but overall nicely done! Rated!

I really love this game! I'm not sure what the other dude said about there having no cayote time but I am pretty sure you did add cayote time. I also noticed the jump buffer (pressing jump before landing). These are the little things that I test in all platform games I play. So far, your game was the only one with both. Nice one!
The game reminded me of megaman the most. The levels were a bit rough but nothing so bad that would ruined it. I actually didn't mind at all but having said that, there is a lot you can do to make this game even better. I was able to defeat all three baddies and get 3 specials + 2 sword moves. I believe that is all, right? I found the difficulty of the game to be just right for my taste. :)
Also, the bg tracks were awesome and the sfx is reminiscent of the old days. Though I think maybe lowering the sfx volume to maybe 25-50% would make things better.
I would really love to see a newer version of this!
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback, it is appreciated! We're glad you liked the coyote time and jump buffering! The timer is pretty tight for both (like 10 frames), so we will probably tweak it just a bit. The levels came together at the end under the wire and probably suffered the most from the rush, but we were just happy to get all the features we had planned in. They definitely could use a few more iterations though. Also it sounds like you got everything we hid. Nice job! We're currently working on a post jam version so if you're interested keep your eyes peeled, it should be out in the next few weeks! Thanks again for playing!
This was a pretty solid platformer, and good platformers are not easy to pull off. Great mechanics, great wall slide, and the grapple was a nice touch as well. Your pixel art was well done, and I think you knocked out a great deal in the time you had. This title definitely shows how far you can take something in a short period. Nice job!!!
Another one of those games with great sprites but not so great visuals overall: few particles, screenshake, visual effects like bloom, shockwaves or some kind of VCR distortion. The gameplay and platformer programming was also rather mediocre: no smoothing, no coyote time (or at least I didn't notice any), very quick return after a walljump which made it surprisingly hard to jump from one wall to another. I feel like you could add more decorations in the background as well to make it more visually interesting.
Really nice title! What I enjoyed the most about it was the savepoint system: For me, it was so spot on! Respawn was close but never too close. It really allowed the game to have an actual difficulty curve without ever getting frustrating which is really rare for a jam game! Well done!
Interesting metroidvania! I killed two bosses and I can no longer leave the room. A level with a green liquid, which I did not see in the screenshot on the game page. At some point, the upgrade for the sword did not work, although I assembled it, and when I died, everything became normal.
Well done, beautiful graphics, controversial music in places.
Good luck with development =)
Solid platforms, solid art, solid sound, solid mechanics in general I didnt know how to kill the boss but it was a very well made game, congrats!
Great work! The platforming is super solid! I had a lot of fun playing this! I just wish there was more going on! Seemed a bit empty. Overall, great work!
Edit: Also thank you for gamepad support! haha
Wow, this was great! Love the wall jump + slide, dash, and the many different kinds of obstacles. The control is smooth and the timing well thought out. Even the death and respawn sequence is cool. So fun!
