How does your game fit the theme?
The player wizard has a shadow twin. Both the twins have their souls "joined together", meaning they move via the same player input, have the same health/mana and will both die if either of them dies

I like the free movement that the characters have and the ability to shoot adds another wrinke. I really like the art work. Plus points for a fellow wizard game.

I've seen this mechanic a couple of times during this jam, but yours is slightly different in that the characters can roam around freely. I like the freedom and it opens the play up for more obstalces/puzzels.

I like the mechanic to have mana and firebolts, it sounds trivial but something about it just feels right.

The art-style and music fit really well together, I think you did a great job on that.

Congrats on submitting!

Please ignore my previous comment

Fun game! Needs some polish but it's a very nice base idea and I quite like the theming. One thing I noticed, the direction of my shot didn't depend on the direction I was facing when I clicked, but rather the direction a few frames later. So often I would try to fire then turn to run away, only to fire in the complete opposite direction haha

Really fun! Really coherent theme and I like the spritework. The movement also feels good, you are fast enough to outrun enemies but not so fast that it feels too easy. Great work!

I love the art style. Seems polished! Despite that I have seen the same mechanics in multiple games, this one offers something refreshing, instead of just trying to figure out a way to reach the objectives, I like that it has enemies to kill. That's a nice touch. Apart from other bugs, the one that actually bugs me is the delayed shooting, sometimes it didn't work. Other than that, the difficulty especially the enemies is quite on a hard level for me (maybe cuz I'm a noob, lol). Although, this is a pretty well-done game. Good job!

Interesting game i love the sprite work an the music :D Simple mechanic executed nicely.

The only thing that bugs me is the shooting feels delayed. Also there are some difficulty spikes.

But other than these i think you did a great job you should work on it after the jam well done :D

The mechanic is pretty good and the game is very fun to play, i love the art style, but i wanted to see more done with the games, perhaps make the bullets cross to the other side or something, it has a lot of potential, great job!

Love the art style! the fact I have monitor two sides to make sure I dont get hit is surprisingly challenging. I love very simple mechanic but indeed very addictive to play. Would also be better to have indications and inclusion of i-frames so you dont punish players too much for getting hit in succession. Well done!

Nice pixel art! The gameplay was also very original :)

Lots of cool ideas here! Having to balance between controlling two characters can make for some really interesting challenges. I think one way to explore this idea more would be to have both characters in a combat encounter at the same time, but have the rooms be slightly different so you have to actually pay attention to both screens, although it's also possible that that would make it too difficulty to actually play. I liked the idea of having one character have to fight the boss while the other character balances when to pick up potions, but I ended up just paying attention to my boss fighting character and ignoring the potions.

Glad you liked the game!

The audio does not work in the web version, did you try out the downloadable version?

The game was a concept I've seen a lot, yet it still was a great execution of the own internal mechanic. Balancing levels between fighting and navigating spaces to ensure both parties would leave the doors together was a good mix, and the escalating difficulty felt natural. The music was awesome as well, and while it did get a slight bit repetitive I didn't mind it too much, it had a nice rhythm and made the fights feel more bombastic and weighty. I did struggle with the combat, having to line up your character directly with the ghosts tended to either get me hurt or make me dash off a second too soon so the attack would be wasted, and it was a little frustrating to run around a room with ghosts scrambling to grab that precise angle without getting killed. The boss was also frustrating, as my other guy picked up all the items immediately due to my focus on the first guy's dodging and I had no healing or mana boosts the rest of the fight. Ended up dying and returning just to kill the ghost with one more shot, which was amusing and a slight bit annoying. Still had a lot of fun getting through the campaign, and I think there's a lot of potential here! Good job.

Cool game! I loved the combat in the game and how what one player did directly could impact the other (like picking up items) rather then two characters just sharing movement. The art was great and the music and sound design felt super good. I couldn't tell at first if the sound effects were part of the music or not, which was a near perfect blend and was super cool!

Overall this was a super enjoyable experience, nice work!

I love this game. Nice art and very interesting concept.

I think the concepts here are really nice - that the player can destroy boxes on one side to heal/aid the other, and that they both have to figure out how to get to the door. The only problem is that there are often glitches that prevent me from going past to the next room or getting stuck in the previous room. I would like some audio feedback, but I know it might be hard to squeeze in art, gameplay, menus, and audio into the 48-hour game jam frame.

Well done, and great entry!

Hi! We're very glad you liked the game, we have audio for the Windows and Mac downloadable versions of the game, just not the HTML version!

Nice game, the art and music are really great, and the levels are interesting, especially the ones with an enemy on one side and boxes on the other. It'd be nice to see more enemy types to prevent the player from circling around the room.

The monsters are closing in pretty quickly - in one room I wasn't able to get to the switch anymore where they spawn next to the switch surrounded by the tables, and I wasn't able to shoot them. Overall really nice take on this idea, combining puzzling with combat and the presentation is great. Nice job!

Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nice game, but i feel like transition between lvls should be more smooth, and monsters less powerful
