Congratulations on your first game jam!! I really loved your art style and character design. I liked your idea of turn-based combat. But I won just by using attack every time. It would be really great if you make it more challenging and engaging. Otherwise, great work for the first game jam. Hope to see more of your games. And just to mention again, weirdly amazing character design.

Also, please play and review my game if you have some time. Thanks!!

Thank you so much for your feedback. Some people say my art is unique, weird and crazy I am very surprised because I consider myself a bad drawer/artist but after reading from you guys I think I might just start practising more art and pixel art. Thanks again and your game is awesome to the max :)

Pretty unique art style. I enjoyed that. There are some things you could improve. Only picking Attack is plenty to win and as a result there's not a whole lot of strategy. The icons for Attack and Heal were a bit hard to read. You want to make sure there's plenty of contrast.

Developer

Still pretty new to the art game so yeah that's true I will improve from your honest feedback ^^,

I like your turn-based combat but in my opinion, it's too easy.

Developer

Yeah, it's meant to be easy and quick hence the name of the theme less is more so I made it very easy and short as possible. Thank you for the hones feedback

That's some really good turn-based combat for only a weeks work!!! As others said it could use some more features but hell thats for the future! Good job!!! :D

Developer

I am glad you liked it somehow and I a feel honored by your feedback thanks :)

Congrats on your first jam!!

I think you a basic turn base system down and can expand on it even further, the art is very nice and I really like your character design :D

Maybe make the text more contrast with the background for readability, and also nerf the attack down a bit

But overall, it's a very nice and lovely game. Well done!

Developer

Yeah I am glad you people mention this so I can improve on those things and know what needs to be fixed thank you so much for your feedback friend :)

Not bad for a first game jam!

Now, I don't want to be harsh, but the game definitely needs some improvement:

  • The game is winnable by just spamming Attack. No real gameplay here
  • The font on the buttons is not really readable. Maybe pick a more legibile font or another color
  • The game over text was also barely readable, again because of color
Developer

The game was meant to be very simple and easy I thought that was according to the theme less is more but honored I'm sure friend :)

Congrats on your first Game Jam game! I thought the battle system felt good for the short gameplay. Fat Bob's design just made me lol inside, I had to play it again just to see him... Yay OP bird!

Thank you kindly, sir!

The art style's really unnerving, in a very effective and pleasant way. I think you've got the basis for your battle system here, and if you wanted to take it forward, you could. I had a good time with it, and congratulations on your first jam!

Developer

I've never heard that about my style but I am glad you felt that way! Yeah, this game looks like a good prototype for a future RPG game I could use in. I am happy you had a great time and thanks for your feedback! :)

For your first time tap yourself on the shoulder and be proud!

now comes the bit thats a bit harsh, no connection to theme whatsoever and it needed just a bit more gameplay instead of just being lifeless

But again im proud for your first time!

Developer

Thanks, man

Yeah, I thought if the game was super short it was less is more probably took it too literally.

But I will do better next time I hope :)

I appreciate your feedback
