The art in this is so adorable! I wanna take little ghostie boy home x3 When he's hiding in a cupboard with his eyes poking out it's so cute!! The cutscenes were really neat too. I kinda suck at most games, so I didn't manage to finish it cos I found it too hard, haha. A great mix of spooky and cute :3

Very fun game! The sprites were really well done too! I appreciate the voiceovers too, fits very well with how the cutscenes were handled. Just minor complaints, but the Next button was slightly covered by the vignette. It's probably just me, but it was a little hard to notice that button at first. Also, the closets were a little buggy; I would sometimes come out of them with my character sprite still in the hiding "position" (i.e. only the eyes were showing). Regardless, fantastic work on this jam! Keep it up!

Nice job with the cutscenes! I had a hard time with the field of view being so small/ the flashlight only shining to the right, that made it a little difficult to play.

Liked the look a lot, and it's impressive just how much content there was. Though in a way that's my one main downside, as it felt like it kept going for a couple more levels than it needed to, and the larger final level was too much for my brain to handle without a minimap or something. Perhaps some way of hinting which key goes to which door, idk.

One of my favourite little things was how the up and down doors were just rotated regular doors, which was actually very charming & cute!

Nice game. Especially the narrated story is cool. Thanks for making it :)

I like the sound and pixel art.  And the naration and story are good too.  Would be nice if arrow keys were supported as well.  Would make it easier for me to control since I'm left handed.

The story and art is well done. I liked the flashlight mechanic. The monster's behavior is a bit weird at times  though.

Developer

Thank you! Sometimes you can 'blind' monster with flashlight (not planned) :DD

Really liked the story and the art. Had a lot of fun playing it.

Thanks!

nicely made game, think enemies needed more sound to bring it all together a bit more.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! It's my first project with sounds, so I had little trouble with putting that together and finding some free good sound online. I need to work on that ^^

Submitted

haha don't worry, the sound on my game is terrible! I decided (probably wrongly) I wanted to make all the sounds myself using things around the house and audacity. Didn't really pan out too well :)

Felt clean.

I love the narration, makes the game more enjoyable, the fact that you have limited view adds a layer of nice horror and the story part it's so intriguing and has a dark sad ending. I struggled a little with the controls, the F key its kinda far from the traditional mouse, so it was complicated to smoothly move the light. Overall great game.

Developer

Thanks for feedback! Every time I was playing it I was choosing bad ending, because is so damn good :DD.  I planned to change F to mouse button, but i totally forgot about it.

Really enjoyed the story of the game actually! Well done and well narrated. I liked the limited camera field and quick decision making required when you are chased

Developer

Thanks ! We wanted to add some more plot twists, but time... yeah...  ^^

Soo scary!!

What a cool game! I'm a big fan of the way the mechanics enforce the theme here. Trying to run away from that ghost felt genuinely scary! There was one bit that made it tough for me to get far into the game, which was that (at least for me) I couldn't tell which key went to which door. That led me trying it in a lot of places and it felt a little frustrating - maybe that was intentional! Anyways, adore the aesthetics, great game, thanks for making it!

Thanks for feedback! I wanted to add some other mechanics, but i realised that if a do that i could not have time to finish. That way only keys and doors left. Frustration from finding correct door is intended, but overall I think I went overboard with amount of keys :D
