The game is very fun and manages to hold the player's attention. I loved knowing that you have plans for the future, I'm already following you so I don't miss anything!

This game was tough! I found all the items (lamp, slingshot, organs) and died to an enemy at the end. I wasn't really sure where to go after collecting everything though, so I kinda wandered aimlessly. The scariest part of the game for me was definitely towards the end when I had only one heart left. Every enemy made me jump because I was so scared of dying and losing all my progress.

I think the one thing I would change about the game, if not adding some health items, is to definitely make the exit more clear. Otherwise, good job on the game! I was so close to beating it haha

Thank you for playing the game and for the feedback ^^. We made the important areas lighted up with the torch (lamp, slingshot, escape door), sometimes you see the light through the wall when walking around.  But it's easy to get lost in the maze, even for me haha.

Developer(+1)

Oh no :D The exit is actually marked and lit up with two torches. Plus if you found all four organs you passed by the exit.

Thanks for playing! Happy you liked it and I hope you might find a few more minutes to try it again and find the exit ;)

My favorite part was the sound, the ominous droning worked well! The labyrinth was maybe a little too big, though, seeing that there wasn't any checkpoints or saving.

Thank you for playing our game, hope you enjoyed it ^^. We might split this into levels with different floors after the jam.

Wish I had known to look for the lamp earlier on cuz it definitely helped navigate the maze!  Nice job finishing your game!

Developer

Thanks for playing :) Yeah, the lamp is crucial.

You almost had the third organ though! It would have been in a room directly behind the two arrow traps at the end. Quite close to finishing there.

I'm not very good at this sorta game, so I wasn't expecting to get all that far, haha. I did manage to find a light, one stone, a slingshot, and get one organ, but after giving it a few goes I'm fairly sure I suck too much to complete this x3 I like the idea though, and that constant creepy droning BGM combined with the limited light makes it pretty tense!

Developer

Thanks for playing :) After the feedback during the last days, I think we will make the game a little bit easier after the rating period. We might add health points to pick up (or something similar). Itโ€™s a bit sad that I havenโ€™t seen a single streamer finish the game ^^

There's nothing wrong with it being difficult though :D Just means when someone does succeed, they'll feel extra epic! I guess having different levels of difficulty couldn't hurt though if ya wanna make it somewhat easier for people to finish :3

Balancing difficulty is really tough, especially in the short time frame of a game jam. One basic rule of thumb is that the game will be about twice or thrice as difficult to other players than it is to you. That usually means that if there's some kind of race or time limit, you must increase the length graciously, and preferably even playtest after that. If the difficulty isn't determined by a simple variable such as time, it becomes far harder.
In 10 days, that's basically impossible, especially if you never before have released a game to a wider public (I don't know if you have, but I noticed this is your first game on itch.io, congrats! :D). So don't take it hard, just learn from it. You crafted a really nice game and a really enjoyable experience, you are a creator and people liked your content so much they took the time to play through it and took the effort to give you feedback, knowing it will help you grow. I can't wait to see what you'll be working on next :)

The artstyle and feel on this one was very cute! Fun and simple mechanics. One suggestion is to give the player a little bit of invincibility after getting hit. I ran into a bat while holding down and lost more hearts than I would expect to!

Thanks for playing :)

Actually there is already a short moment of invincibility, but we could make it a bit longer, yes.

Nice lightning and cute visuals! I did think the game was a bit lethal, harsh and unforgiving, and when I started I didn't really know what to do, but other than that it was a cool experience!

Like the use of lighting and great sound design!

Love the limited camera, really gives that feeling of tenseness when moving around. Well done!

I like the game's setting inside a tomb, the sound effects are very inmersive and the lighting makes you feel the suspense. Awesome game.
