Super enjoyable game to play. Loved everything about the game, it was simple and very well done. Congrats on your entry!

Great play! Had a lot of fun playing through this game. I understand that this was based for keyboard inputs but sometimes having the mouse as a attack option is nice. Also on the menu took me ages to get the one I wanted to click cause pressing up and down was too sensitive other than that really good build!

Would you be able to check out my game? :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Maybe later I can try to implement both keyboard and mouse attack, letting the player choose. And I already played and left a comment on your game :)

Great job on this game!! I had fun beating it but the real fun was in the speed run.  I got the secret but I think you should also show a little different ending screen if you took the time to do that.  Also the screen scroll on credits and story needs to have a hurry up button.  Awesome work!

Developer(+1)

Wow, great job on finding the secret! So... it was supposed to show a different screen, nothing much, just different text about you finding the real treasure and being the master of the die-geon, but somehow I screwed that, tested it before but the build version I uploaded doesn't show it. As I said on other comment it's not a very good idea to start working on credits and such like two hours to end the submissions, but you know, a jam is a jam. Really appreciate the comment :)

Haha np.  It was a super time crunch for us too.    Your game was very stable for me other than that.  My second level in my game bugs out half  the time lol.  I don't want to spoil but I did love the collection screen of the secret.

Fun little game! I managed to complete it! The controls were a bit awkward, but other than that, it was very enjoyable :) Great work!

Developer

Thanks! What part of the controls were awkward? The movement? Attack? Both? Other?

It was very difficult to move with the arrow keys, click with my mouse, and reach over with my pinkie for Q and E
It would be much better with WASD rather than the arrow keys :)

Hope that helps!

Developer

So... you can move with WASD, did you have some problem doing it? I used the axis of Unity, so you were supposed to be able to make either with arrow keys or WASD.

I am so sorry for the mix up, ignore what I said previously! I've been playing a lot of games and got a bit confused as to what game this was. It was the sword slashing that threw me off.

He attacked in the last direction I was facing. Been as I was using the mouse to slash my sword, I was expecting him to slash towards the mouse, not the last direction pressed.

Also having the "E" button to use my item rather than the mouse click was a little odd to me.

Everyone loves power ups and unique items right?! Well your game had plenty and it was really fun to find the right order of rooms to get a new item and remember back where it might help you! Really fun game and cute animations for the main player.
One suggestion I have is to build the game in windowed mode instead of full screen unless you're super sure it'll work on all different aspect ratios. I'm playing on an ultra wide monitor and couldn't see a lot of the upper/lower portions of the screen. Otherwise great submission to the jam :) Cheers!

Thanks man! I appreciate it. My inicial plan was putting a menu screen with the instructions, back to menu and both screen options, windowed and full, thats not very hard on Unity, but you know, in jams we usually don't finish everything we plan. Either way I'm very proud with what I got, thanks again!

Super cool game. Thought the music/art and the game fit really well. Whole game had a cool vibe. I liked the level layouts as well, thought it was helpful you put the fires in front of each dungeon. My only thing I thought the one hit death was a bit harsh. Feel like some health system could've improved this some. Overall great job!

Developer

Thanks! I wasn't so sure about one or more hits, so I tried to make it "easy" with slow enemies and never having a game over, strongly inspired by the game Minit. Certainly will put some health if I decide to continue the project.

Like most people said, a little with the movement, and the text at the beginning. Otherwise, I loved it.  You tricked me in the beginning though lol, I was like there's nothing there haha.

Love the concept.
Love the style.

I'm not a fan of the acceleration/deceleration of the movement.

Developer(+1)

Thanks. To be honest me too, it looks sllippery. I thought I changed that, but it was too late when I saw it. And really it was just 10 seconds to change a single line of code. Welp, gonna spend more time with playtesting next time.

Entered to the page because of the name and was not disappointing!

The only things I think you can make better are making the opening text move a bit faster (or let the player speed it himself, not only skip), make the spawn point in the entrance of  the room you just exited, and I saw that you put candles with the corresponding room numbers but I only got that near the end (you can maybe put a number up there too).

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I apreciate it. I think the same of the opening text, and that aplies for credits, but let that be a lesson, dont start working on menu and credits 2 hour before the submit time ends hahaha. About the spawn point, it was supposed to be an general spawn, to make easy entering any level from, but spawning from the entrance of the room is not a bad ideia either.

LOL hahaha
