Nice colour scene and overall graphics! The sound is also really fitting with the game play and the artwork! I do feel like it would be more fun if the timing wasn't every 6 seconds for losing a feature, but maybe every time you lose a life? Or some time longer than 6 seconds at least? Especially since as other people commented, the dash has a cooldown despite the fact that you lose it very quickly
Very beutiful visual and great sound design! Not a fan of wave based (or infinite) type of games, but the execution is pretty good!
PS: I will be tweeting about this game, and some other games I will play from the jam: https://twitter.com/TheAntonSem/status/1283445261952589830
Nice idea, graphics and sounds are all very nice and generally very satisfying.
If you're taking away the dash periodically I would recommend that it doesn't have a cooldown. I could only use it once or twice between it getting taken away from me.
Nice game! The music and the sound effects were all very nice and satisfying. I do think the dash attack was a little underwhelming considering the long cooldown and isn't very useful, so taking it away was not as interesting as taking away the movement and attack. Besides that, very well done!
Wow this is really well thought out, the changing mechanics is broadcasted very well and totally changes how you play each time.
Very well done game! I felt like the cooldown on the dash was a little too long but otherwise I really like it!
Cool art style! Felt like I died super fast every time :/
Charming little game. Love the art - especially the menu background. The gameplay itself is addictive, but way too difficult, I think. Might want to tone down the amount of damage the enemies can do, maybe shorten their range compared to yours. Being stuck in place with 5+ enemies is basically impossible to survive. But keep up the good work!
i like idea of the game, but will be nice improve control of characters and add some life buttons
Oh, apparently I can go faster by running in diagonals! :P
The main mechanic is interesting, but doesn't pay off in the game. The different actions are not balanced enough. Most of the time I lose because I can't move anymore, and when the attack is locked the best solution is mostly to flee. As for the dash, having it removed has no big impact, since it's mostly "the attack do do when you can't use the regular one".
Still, the art is quite beautiful, especially for a jam game! And despite having flaws, it still plays really well and procures a bit of fun! Even if I'm not a fan of the "unusable mechanic" idea, it's still a nice game! :)
A neat presentation, but I'm not sure how fun taking movement and controls away from the player is in the middle of combat, I'd be running away from an enemy, only to suddenly be standing stock still, as my no sword changes to no movement. I know there's a timer, but there's no way of knowing which one is going next.
Your enemies are well trained.
The wounds are great, as they make the battle tougher.
Best score was 60.
If only it were on an easier difficulty level.
I wanted to embark on a journey to master the Samurai Way.
neat idea, well done! i would balance out the chances of getting the same move taken out by make it less likely to happen each time. was in a situation where i lost movement like 7 times in a row haha
