How does your game represent "Slick"?
You have to be slick to avoid getting hit. Also it is just slick to watch the replay!

Incredibly slick concept - Very fun

Very unique idea! I really liked the slick art style and main menu. Nice work!

This is a hoot! As everyone has said, including the replay is half of the fun here, great idea. As for the gameplay itself, I love it! The controls have a learning curve, but I clearly love games with wacky controls :) Once you get used to it, this good old fashioned goofy fun.

I especially love the way the dude slowly returns to his default resting state, that cracked me up. Awesome job! :)

Very unique concept, have not seen a game like this before! The replay was also an awesome addition and hilarious to watch the character snap this way and that. I did seem to encounter a bug(?) where I was stuck in replay mode at the end.

This is such an interesting submission! I don't think I've ever played anything quite like it. And the replay is a masterful touch that really ties the whole thing together (I didn't realize how funny it looked while I was playing, lol).

The main thing I think could be improved is the camera control - it's a bit difficult to position the camera correctly *and* manage the player position at the same time. If the camera were placed in the algorithmically best position for the incoming projectiles automatically, then the player could focus on just moving their appendages (which seems to be the main focus here). I understand that this was likely infeasible during the jam; the only reason I bring it up is that it's pretty much the only major flaw encountered. Other than that, great job!!

Really slick to watch the replay back, amazing job!

Amazing visuals, and very cool gameplay. The replay is so funny to watch back.

Developer

Thank you. I am glad you liked it!

This was inadvertently funny. The presentation was very polished. Good job!

Developer

We tried our best. Thank you!

Finally a Toribash like!

Developer(+1)

I actually didn't know about this game before. Very good insight, thank you.

Oh you're in for a treat then! My teammate, epsilon-0 and I used to rinse that game.

It took me a second to realize what I was supposed to do and got a good laugh playing this.  The dodge mechanics are a lot of fun.  Great work and very slick!

Developer

I am glad you enjoyed your time playing our game!

Such a hilarious concept. So slick nice job! :)

Developer

Thank you!

Alright, this was pretty damn slick. Nice original theme.

Developer

Thanks a lot :)

Submitted(+1)

That's was such an original entry! Really good

Developer

Appreciate you saying that♥

Submitted(+1)

Very original! I don't think I've seen an entry like this in a jam before, and it's elevated by the replay. Though I did quickly descend into doing wacky moves and I spent longer than I'd admit trying to figure out what speed to move to get the guy match the beat of the song in full speed.

Developer(+1)

I find your game even more original and I appreciate you saying that! Actually getting character to move to the beat is a rather interesting concept, or maybe make the audio interactive to the actions🤔. Thank you for your insights♥

Love the contrast between sci-fi and the goofy character deformation. Replay is a nice touch. Agree with one of the other comments about rotating the camera using keyboard.

Developer

We actually haven't intended that as a contrast, but that is fascinating that you found that as a feature. Thank you for valuable feedback♥

I channeled my inner Neo. Slick game!

Developer

I am glad you felt that way! Thank you ♥

Submitted(+1)

Really cool game!  I noticed a small bug where the more times you've selected "Play Again" the more times the replay plays after the next round, to the point where it seems to play forever.  But I guess it's a good sign that I kept wanting to Play Again!

Developer

It is rather a good sign! I am sorry about the bug, we had really no time for much testing. I am glad it didn't stop you playing ♥

this game looks so great and is so original, super great idea, i love the replay system. very fun.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for kind words. The replay system was a challenge, but it paid off!

Submitted(+1)

Love this, very toribash inspired!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I actually didn't know about this game XD Will have a deeper look

Submitted(+1)

It is quite slick to watch the replay. "Show us what you've got.", that guy has dance moves.

Developer

I know, we went full cheesy with that one XD🙈.

Thank you playing!
