That's awesome! I look forward to seeing what you make next!

This was a creative way to provide an overview of Jesus' birth, life, death, and resurrection! Slowly filling in all the Bible verses helped to emphasize the importance of each event and allowed me to practice reciting verses I have memorized. Additionally, I really liked the slick UI and the enchanting music choice.

Overall, I really enjoyed playing through all the levels! It's awesome to see a Christian game developer on this platform! God bless! :)

Thanks for playing! (I didn't have enough time to code proper logic for the bikers, but I'll be sure to fix it in a future update.)

Thanks for the kind words! I had more gameplay mechanics in mind, but I didn't have as much time as I thought I would to implement them. I am planning a post-jam update to add more features and fix some issues.

I liked the goofy sense of humor, as shown with the "Live Seal Reaction," the mere concept of a seal turning into a bowling ball, and the unforgettable death screen. Nice work! lol

I really like the Splatoon-esque paint mechanics and having to navigate back through the slippery level with only the paint gun to move you! The game was definitely challenging by the end, but I had a lot of fun! Great job! :)

I really liked the slick pseudo-3D graphics! Combined with the cool retro-inspired music and sound effects, this game really reminded me of classic SNES and arcade titles, like F-Zero and Cruis'n USA.

If you decide to continue developing this project, I think it would be cool if the obstacles (cars, houses, billboards, oil slicks, etc.) spawned at the horizon line. I think it would really help with the illusion of a 3D environment.

Regardless, this was a really impressive game jam project! Great job all around! :)

Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm currently working on an update to add more obstacles, moves, and quality of life features that were originally planned but were cut for time... ;D

Thanks for playing! I'll definitely be fine-tuning the sound effect timings and volumes for a post-jam update.

This is a super creative puzzle game that made progression require a lot more strategy than typical top-down adventure games! I had fun trying to balance my credits and gadget powers to navigate through the lab as cost-effectively as possible! Of course, the art, music, and writing were also fantastic!

I did get soft-locked on my first playthrough when I ran out of credits and power for all my gadgets. However, I was able to beat the game on my second attempt with a final score of 490. lol

Overall, great job! :)

Very unique idea! I really liked the slick art style and main menu. Nice work!

Thanks for the kind words! :D

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely be fine-tuning the sound effects after the game jam.

I love all the cartoony animations and sound effects; the presentation really came together to make something goofy, yet oddly dark. lol

If you decide to continue developing this idea further, it would be nice to place and remove machine parts from anywhere on the screen, rather than just the furthest part along the pipeline. Of course, this doesn't take away from the very unique experience you crafted. Nice work!

Great presentation and sound design! The stealth mechanics were also really slick, and I really liked that tripping over the Legos results in the Family Guy fall pose. lol

Great job all around!

Oh, wow! The gameplay elements, controls, graphics, music, sound effects, menu designs, and level designs were all exquisite! The game's overall mechanics and presentation reminds me a lot of Celeste, but your project had some cool distinctions, such as the gliding ability and the fantasy aesthetic. Shear is definitely one of my favorite games I've seen from the game jam so far! Fantastic job all around! :D

The movement felt really slick, and the art/narrative directions were really cool and unique! Great job! :)

I liked the low-poly 3D presentation, the falling snow effect, and the unique twist on the Crazy Taxi formula. The physics felt really slippery (which fits the theme), but I usually lost control when I barely touched the steering buttons... Nevertheless, this was an impressive submission for the game jam. Nice job!

I appreciate your feedback! Thanks for playing!

Yeah, I wanted to make more unique designs and animations, but I wasn't able to finish them in time for the game jam... Thanks for your feedback, though!

Yeah, I originally planned to have different types of vehicles on the road, but I didn't have enough time to implement them. I appreciate the feedback!

I'm thinking of adding some moves that could refill the slickness meter in a post-jam update, so that should hopefully fix the unpredictable RNG of the hair gel spawn rates. Thanks for playing!

The game environments and UI are super polished and professional-looking! The art style reminds me a lot of the Paper Mario games while also doing its own thing. The unique gameplay mechanics were also very engaging and fun to play around with. Overall, Jack B. Slick was a slick game to play through! :)

The concept of the player's movements being tied down to specific actions, rather than traditional movement inputs, is quite interesting. The animations for the knight were also super slick!

I love the cute art style, pleasant music, slick main menu, dynamic weather effects, and Crazy Taxi-esque gameplay! You all did a wonderful job! :)

Using a rocket launcher to shoot, jump, slide, and launch yourself into the sky is super slick! Very cool!

You two did a great job for your first game jam! I love the vibrant art style, funny sound design, slick controls, and original concept! :D

It was super satisfying to rack up combos by bouncing off either side of the screen! I also really liked the cute character designs and animations! Nice job!

Shwoop was super fun to play through! The quantity of unique mechanics and level layouts was absolutely staggering, and the game felt like it steadily increased the difficulty as it went along. (Funnily, I didn't realize that you could rotate the shooters until I was on Level 19.) lol

I occasionally encountered a glitch where a line I drew didn't have any collision, so I had to redraw it. It wasn't a game-breaker or anything; I just thought I'd mention it. Overall, fantastic job all around!

The gameplay mechanics felt great, and I really liked how they tied back into the fiery theming! The character designs and interactions were also very charming. Great job all around! :)

I loved the art style and character designs! (I mean, being able to play as a greaser capybara is a win in my book!) The slick soundtrack and steady difficulty increase also tied everything a complete package. Great job all around! :D

Very unique concept. It would be cool to see more weird building parts, like robot legs or wings.

Thanks! :P

Thanks so much! :)

Thanks! :D

I'm glad you liked it! I really enjoyed limiting myself to the NES color palette and technical limitations.

Thanks for the kind words! I really like working within the limitations of older consoles, especially the Game Boy and NES.

Thanks for playing!

I'm completely lost for words... PIZZA PLANET is absolutely incredible (especially for a game jam submission)!

You all perfectly captured the distinctly slick style of Game Boy Advance games from the early 2000's! (Similar games that come to mind are Wario Land 4 and Sonic Rush.) The amazingly charming graphics and stellar soundtrack fit in perfectly with games from that time period while also being their own thing entirely! The 1990's/2000's  iconography, such as the floppy disks, skateboards, and greasy pizza, immediately made me nostalgic this game, even though it wasn't released back then! lol. Speaking of graphics, the menus perfectly blend straightforward communication with a dynamic Persona-esque flair! (I'm a stickler for good UI design, and you guys nailed it!) I also really liked the funny alien invasion premise; it's simple, but it felt like it could have been used for an episode of a show on 4Kids or similar networks.

Needless to say, I loved playing through PIZZA PLANET. As a lot of other people were saying in their reviews, I think your game definitely deserves to win the game jam! :D

I look forward to seeing if y'all decide to continue developing the idea even further...
