You win this jam, my friend.
Out of the 24 other entries I’ve played properly, this one really stands out. I’m genuinely glad I came across it.
I’ll be honest at first I didn’t like it, mostly because I didn’t understand it. I couldn’t even break 50 points. I thought it might just be a gimmick just like the top high scores is hardcoded . But once I slowed down and actually learned the mechanics, after a few real head-scratchers, it finally clicked… and I started getting pretty good.
I realised it’s not about just having two matching pieces on the board, but about managing multiples, delaying level-ups, and using positioning. Treating the player as a blocker between pieces is such a smart idea. It genuinely feels like a mix of chess and solving one side of a Rubik’s Cube.
The sound design is also fantastic, the unique sounds for each monster add so much character. I also love the small visual detail of the player physically looking stronger as they level up.
The way health, damage, and level all interact works incredibly well. For beginners, even reaching the 256 boss feels like a huge achievement — it’s a real gatekeeper. Once you break past it, the game opens up and you can really start racking up points. And the strategy of trading HP for positioning? Absolute gold.
I’ll definitely be coming back to this and aiming to put my name on the leaderboard. Please keep working on this project — I’ll be your first customer, dude.
thank you so much for the kind words ;-; i also really like this game and feel theres a lot of design space to work in, so im considering continuing it.
thanks for playing !!!

Awesome! I really like what you did here, Kudos!
Wow, you got an online leaderboard in here?! Really slick presentation, great spin on a classic game. I am horrible at this though, how do people get so many points?! So as a result I really never felt overpowered at all lol. Great work though, I bet for 2048 heads this is a real treat.
Very enjoyable game that I am very bad at. Well made. The art is incredible and polished!
Really cool take on 2048. I'm not sure if I'm playing it wrong but it seems like whenever I'd attack an enemy they'd trade with me which I didn't understand, so I didn't feel very overpowered. The art is awesome though
Very cool take on 2048! Fun rpg that's pretty hard and well presented. Good job!
The leader board is great! I have the top spot for now (Matt). Any advice for make a leaderboard like this?
I love the idea, the art is good and the gameplay is great. It would be a perfect game with some music and animated characters.
Fantastic To be candid, I don't like 2048. This may look like 2048 on the surface but the gameplay is completely different and it feels almost like chess. Beautiful graphics and presentation all around. Great job on this!
Great idea but I suck at 2048...
Oh this rules. By adding the RPG element, you've transformed a pretty simple and over-done puzzle game into an original idea, which is awesome. Adds a little strategic layer onto the top of the game too. I know the assets are third-party, but you've put them together very well in the time you had. I'd like to say this has enormous potential and could be refined and made into a broader experience, but...it kind of works perfectly and is creatively realized as is? The leaderboard is a fantastic little addition too. Great work!
This is really cool. I've never heard of 2048 before so I looked it up. Going to have to try it out, since I find this type of game oddly relaxing even though there's combat and monsters. I'm not really good at the game, but the loop is chill and straightforward. I didn't feel any sense of being overpowered, everything felt quite balanced. still, awesome game! :)
Super high polish and swag. However I felt really underpowered. I might just be bad tho lowkey. I was never good at 2048
A simple idea but REALLY well executed.
Just add a bit of music and it would be perfect!
Really nice concept! I really loved it!
Dont see how the overpowered limitaton was applied, I actually felt super underpowered :(
Really fun take on 2048 though honestly, props to you!
Really well polished and cool concept, you could release this as a game for phones. But i am not exactly sure how it works with the overpowered limitation? Still super cool
This is so polished!! And the art is amazing too
Great concept! it's decently fun but really hard atleast for me
