I loved how the combat felt, and was wanting more. The difficulty ramped up, but it was a solid experience.
Thanks for playing!
Really enjoyed playing this! The intro cutscene was pretty funny. The gameplay feels tight and fun. The enemies are varied and nicely done, though the levels could use a bit more interesting design. I think some extra feedback on hits and HP would really help, and adding projectiles could make combat even more engaging. Solid entry with a lot of potential, congrats!
Thank you for the feedback! I've already began work on the HP feedback/indicator and i'm going to be replacing enemy raycasts with projectiles
Very cool game! I like the decent cutscene at the beginning and the Hotline Miami-style gameplay. The health implementation is super. Hope there will be a continuation - I'd like to see more challenging gameplay.
P.S.: I initially thought the game's objective would be to steal RAM.
Haha yeah, the initial idea was a robot going rogue because of a short circuit, but i pivoted near the end to the goal being to replace your coffee covered ram stick
The game was really superr!! I Destroyed all the guards
Really strong submission, and I was genuinely sad when it was done because I wanted to see what would happen next. For suggestions, mostly just a bit more polish such as more consistent damage feedback when hitting enemies, and maybe giving the money a bit of momentum when it first spawns in plus a random direction to not look so static.
Overall I really enjoyed this, and hope you keep working on it!
Thank you for the feedback! My first goal in the marathon jam is to polish the current systems, then expand the content. I wanted to add 3 more enemy variants for this jam but i did not have the time
After a long day I seriously loved playing this :D As a musician the audio and effect were satisfying, the gameplay was nice and I agree with others: this is a solid base!
Glad you enjoyed!
The art is great and the Music/SFX are pretty satisfying and work together. With extra time and polish work this is a pretty solid base! Would love to see projectiles and more game feel
Really well done! Awesome work!
It's fun
Gameplay is fun and quick. Shooting is really good. Cutscenes are nice, somhow the break ram animation felt nice :D
Made a solid 50 bux the first run. It really appealed to me that it all started with a funny story/intro. It really gave the game a lot polish and felt more being sucked into the game.
boy oh boy do i love shooting people
Fun game to play, the gameplay was just right. Had a good time playing!
Loved the movement and premise. The cutscene was a great way to start.
Ty ty
Had fun shooting bullets!! My only concern is I don't know how much funds do I need to upgrade the health... How many hours did you spend building the entire game btw? Just curious cuz the game feels complete!
The health upgrade is just a joke, its never purchasable. As for time, i had about 9 hours left when i submitted the game
Cool! It's a little difficult because it's not clear how much time the enemies have from sight to shot. It would be a little easier if the bullets were visible when fired. Although, it would turn into a bullet hell.
Yeah i'm going to experiment with projectiles during the marathon jam
Sick, love when a game have a good balance of all aspects! And additional points for making it playable using touchpad! Please add railgun in next patch!
Gonna be honest, i have no clue how you got it to work on touchpad, i only coded it for keyboard and mouse XD
Thank you for the kind words, i'll add a railgun during the marathon jam if i can remember
Great! Audio fit it well and the health bar was nicely designed.Thank you! I spent an unreasonable amount of time deciding on a health bar lol
