Massive thanks to the organizers for running the jam. This was the first one I took part in, and congratulations on the 201st edition as well. That’s an incredible milestone and really shows the care and consistency it takes to keep something like this going.
Genuinely, huge congratulations to everyone who participated. Building and submitting a game on the very first weekend of the year is no small feat. It takes real motivation and commitment when most people are still on vacation.
I’ve been playing through entries, and a few games that really stood out to me and that I’d like to highlight are:
These are just some projects I really enjoyed. So much great work came out of this jam, and I can’t wait to see where some of these games go next!
Really fun and engaging gameplay loop, I had a good time! I found the fail timer a bit too punishing, it felt very short for me and didn’t leave much room to react. I could also see this working really well with more powerups and different dog types (dogs that change direction, follow for a while, bring other dogs closer, etc.). Overall it feels quite polished for a jam entry, congrats!
Really enjoyed playing this! The intro cutscene was pretty funny. The gameplay feels tight and fun. The enemies are varied and nicely done, though the levels could use a bit more interesting design. I think some extra feedback on hits and HP would really help, and adding projectiles could make combat even more engaging. Solid entry with a lot of potential, congrats!

Really addictive gameplay and a creative take the theme! I had fun though I think I encountered a bug, the controls froze after starting from a checkpoint
