Game description
Control a sine wave's amplitude and frequency to fend off waves of shapes. Watch your energy; you need more for higher amplitudes and frequencies!

Theme interpretation
I interpreted "Wave" as both a Sine wave and Waves of enemies.

cool idea. like others said, i went max amplitude thinking it would be OP, but got me into trouble in the end. Nice submission!

Very smart! I like that at some point it seemed obvious that the highest frequency and amplitude were the best strategy but it spend way more energy and that got me into trouble. Balancing those mechanics must have been hard but it works well!

Love the minimal style and the brilliant idea!

Interesting idea for a mechanic, though I think the optimum strategy is just to make maximum amp and frequency to cover as much of the screen as possible.

Possibly you could avoid this by having hostile mobs that attacking damages you, or some other mechanic to mix up the behaviour, like a sawtooth wave etc.

I like the graphical effects like the various fades and animations, very polished and makes the game feel very responsive to play. Great work!

One of the most original concepts I've seen so far

Great game. I loved how unique the idea is.

Everything moves soo smoth. Nice. I like it.

Very Interesting Idea. Love the whole vibe of the game.

Great game. I managed to get to the wave with a total of 80. Tried my best to beat 110 lol. Great job!

Really fun idea  ! Its like Fruit Ninja meets Sine wave .  It's simple concept ,but works well and it is well executed .

Great work overall!

Excellent idea and a fantastic game. Just add some background music to make it perfect

Very cool idea!

It's actually more challenging than it looks, sometimes the wave doesn't cover it all, even at max frequency and amplitude, especially since you run out quickly of energy.

Also I think I shouldn't play before my morning coffee, took me 2 games to understand that these weren't buttons on the right side but indications of what to do on the keyboard, I was clicking them like crazy and wondering why nothing happened 😂

Graphics are minimalist but quite polished, all fits well together.

Would love to see where this goes!

It's very interesting the idea behind the theme! Just as an FYI, full screen doesn't work to well, but nice game!

Very nice idea! Max frequence and max wave length made the game trivial, but great use of the theme.

Thanks! From my own testing, max amp + frequency is actually more balanced in the later, longer waves; it's not always a perfect screen wipe, so there will sometimes be shapes/patterns that slip through that you won't be able to hit in time because of the energy cost. The intended balance is for the player to very slowly start "bleeding" health past ~Total 60 if they're not using it at the right times, though it is definitely possible to just get lucky enough that this doesn't happen often enough to offset the per wave heal :P

This is amazing. We had a similar idea to use function waves for the basis of our game, but I’d say that you incorporated it in a much more direct way, which makes the game super unique and fun. I think you should expand on this, such as adding tangent waves. By the way, the best I could do was a Total of 60.

For a work created in just one week, it makes me feel I pale in comparison

lovely! it reminds me of an old game called Waveform. I like that you need to actually press a key to cut the enemies. Though it is quite hard lol. I failed to finish the level...

Nice! It took me a moment to figure out that I needed to press the space bar to block objects but once I did it made way more sense haha! Super solid game play mechanics. I'd love a little background music but the sound effects are clean. Great work!

A simple but entertaining game, great to play in your spare time.

Also i love how nice it fits with the wave topic, this is a very original implementation of the theme.

Bro you create a Classic Game!! I've never seen it before.

It's ALL about WAVES!! Incredible

I think that's the sample of this theme, 5 STARS
