Really nice game!

It had freezed a couple times for me as well, but still managed to clear one level without any issues.

Love the wave mechanic that affects your speed. Very good take on the theme!

Graphics are working very well, and the music goes well with it too.

Would love to see more of that, wondering what the shop and all those closed ports will look like.

Very well done!

Very nice little game!

A bit frustrating sometimes as it can be hard to determine how close we can pass and the collision are not really permissive, but that makes it an achievement when we pass as well.

As already mentioned, the colors need a bit work as it can be tricky to read the yellow sometimes.

Also when you die, it probably would be a good idea to remove the ray towards the mouse, as everytime it made me think I was still in control and had a second chance.

Otherwise very fun to play and good mechanics, with a good variety of levels as well. Music is fitting as well.

Very well done!

Nice game, but I found the control quite hard to grasp. Also the tutorial interrupting your movements made me lose a couple of time, as it was explaining me how to hide just when the enemy arrived 😅

Other than that pretty cool, like the art and diversity of action, and when you get the controls it is quite responsive.

Well done!

Very nice idea! Interesting thing that we cannot move, that makes it even more stressful, and you have to quickly thing which is your target

Would love to see more of it!

Very well done!

Very nice little game! cool graphics and music, and good take on the theme.

I didn't I could be scared of starfish 😂

Would love to see more levels!

Very well done!

Really like the graphics and the music. Game is easy to understand but quite challenging. Had fun playing it, very well done!

I am not able to do anything unfortunately, I just have the main screen but cannot start playing. I reloaded a few times but it doesn't change anything :(

Really fun aha!

Easy to play but I did feel the stress getting the best of me sometimes. Like that satirical approach as well.

Will keep an eye on this, I'm very curious about what those random events will look like once all is implemented, a few of them made me laugh!

One thing I didn't understood is what productivity is exactly, a lot of things talk about it but there is no bar for it and no description, is it just the amount of words we do in one day?

Overall, Very cool submission for the jam, well done!

Very nice game! Cool graphics, love the take on the theme!

It was a bit difficult to anticipate when coconuts fall and when waves spawn, maybe a bit of visual effect to warn like a coming shadow or something would be nice.

But had fun playing anyway, and music is quite cool as well!

Nice little game with a good variety on power up for each tower.

I accidentally managed to get myself to wave 8 while I was only at wave 2 by keep pressing space, and I had a neverending stream of enemies, that was challenging aha.

Well done!

Quite funny art, easy to grasp and very dynamic. Though I couldn't get why sometimes my number of missile was going down.

A already suggested, would be nice to have more diversity, but overall fun to play, well done!

Thanks a lot for playing and for your kind words! I plan on continue working on it after the voting period is done, I do have a few more ideas that I couldn't get in in time!

Thanks a lot for trying the game and for your kind words! I need probably a lot more work before being able to put that on any store aha, but that could be a cool goal idea!

Thanks a lot for trying :)

Thanks for trying it!

A few hints that could help:

- make sure you're using all the points you won, each tower destroyed gives you one. This is easy to miss and I need to work on better visual feedback

- all parts of the wave can destroy a tower, not just the middle

Quite nice demo! Cool graphics and the controls are indeed responsive!

Would be amazing to have more content, I only found out about the down attack when reading the description, could be cool to have some in game mechanic to force you to experiment and find it at some point.

Curious to see where this will go! Very well done for a first jam!

That was very fun to play! At first I thought the waves would do like a ramp to send me even higher, I was so wrong aha!

I don't know if it's because of the web version, but the air time felt quite long sometimes, and reaching the finish line didn't do anything.

Except that, I really liked the idea and gameplay. Graphics are very nice as well and the music is addictive. Very well done!

Loved the game! You can get some pretty cool and crazy combos, the enemys didn't have much luck aha.

Very good interpretation of the theme!

Cheers, I tried again, I think I had some sort of bug the first time. No matter who I was taking the first time, I was told they weren't worthy of holding the frog, even with people from the teacher area, so I couldn't progress. But I tried again now and managed to finish the first 2 levels, I was able to pick it up this time. Pretty cool puzzles !

Really like the game!

Quite cool to have so many possibilities already! Like the vampire survivor vibe.

I was a bit confused sometimes between what's an enemy and what's a powerup, but figured it out while playing.

Overall I had a very fun time, well done!

Love the game!

It's quite challenging to survive, got me a few tries before even surviving the first wave. Haven't survived passed the 2nd wave yet but will keep at it.

Really cool graphics, easy to understand what needs to be done, I really like the theming with those ships crashing from a big wave.

Very fun to play, well done!

I cannot play properly unfortunately, my screen is too small and the page doesn't adapt well and I struggle to get the buttons to show. Would be nice to have the fullscreen button from the itchio integration, usually that helps with small screens.

Also I think the display is not working properly, I have a quarter of the screen black and the rest gray. I'll hold off from rating as I cannot play properly, happy to come back to it later if you publish a fix

Really like the game and the idea, nice graphics and cool music.

It's very challenging, tried both levels but cannot finish any of them. I managed to light the radios but cannot figure out what else to do. There are other object that seem to be interactable but when clicking on them nothing happens. Probably need to spend more time on it to figure out what I'm missing, but it makes me want to try more so that's a good sign

Very well done!

Very nice game!

Fun gameplay, easy to understand, nice graphics and efficient audio, really liked it!

First level was very good, but I lost so quickly on the second. So many things happened at the same time I couldn't respond to every of them. And not sure if I got the slides one correctly or not. But I'm going to try this again 😁

Very well done on this game jam 👌

Really like the idea!

It's a bit fast for me, I hadn't time to read the problem that I was on the gates already. And when you pass one, I find that it's a bit hard to read the next one and see the answers on the gates. But maybe it's just my slow brain.

Very good feeling and well responsive overall, well done!

Oooh, very cool game. I am so bad at it, took me 2 minutes to get my first correct one, but I had a lot of fun.

One thing I notice, in the first few times when I didn't read the description and couldn't find the controls,  my sync was increasing on its own even though I only had a circle flat line, not sure if it's normal.

Overall, it's easy to understand what to do,  has very nice graphics, and the music is cool, very well done!

Thanks for checking it, glad you enjoyed it :) Yeah I had more ideas of levels but not enough time unfortunately. I will continue working on the game post jam and add new levels though :)

Ah, got it now, thanks for the instructions! Maybe just adding an animation around the button when we arrive to the first 3d level could help with that. For keyboard it's also not so obvious that you can use the arrows as well.

But now that I got it, feels very nice to go around in 3d in that maze aha.

I just tested, I really love the game! Very nice idea, love the gb vibe, and quite easy to understand what needs to be done.

On mobile I had some display issue, even in full screen I couldn't see the settings button completely. And when I arrived to the hyperspeed level or something, I got completely stuck.

I tried on laptop and it was much more enjoyable, though in that hyperspeed level, the camera doesn't seem to turn for some reason, I'm always facing the same direction, but maybe it's intended. Using the map helped finish the level.

One thing I found a bit weird is that it seems a bit unbalanced with enemies. Sometimes I get a few levels without any, sometimes I get 3 on the first level. One time I got touched before I could even ping.

But overall very cool game, would love to see where it goes, very well done !

Hey guys,

My submission for the Jam is available here: https://macmist.itch.io/game-off-2025

It's very short, as I didn't have as much time as I expected to work on it, but it's still my first jam submission that feels like a proper game so I'm pretty happy.

Playable on Web and MacOS, and hopefully I should be able to push a Windows build before the end of the allocated time.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Good luck on your submissions 😁

I really like the principle, I suck at it though.  I didn't get at first that you need to have gold and not green to be able to have a second boost.

I love the design and the speed you get. Very cool entry

Thanks a lot for playing! Yes I admit it lacks a bit of guidance at some point. There is one direction where something will happen, and you don't have to go that far

Thanks a lot for playing! That developer option is probably the hardest part of everything, it stops if you manage to get your cursor on it but maybe I made it a bit too fast !

Ah, that isn't part of the plan at all, I completely forgot to test the exit button on the build before releasing, something might be wrong with the way I exit the game :/ I'll try to fix it and submit an update after the voting period is over, thanks for flaggin it!

Loved it! Beautiful art, gameplay simple but it gets quite cchallenging, very good narration and some nice message as well, very well done!

Very nice one! I kept expecting something like the well won't have enough water to fill everything, but I prefer the actual ending aha
