Fun and chill idle game! like the concept of the ant placing the leaves! pretty fun! =)

Submitted

Really cute concept, fun little incremental game. Absolutely loved the Attenborough style intro cutscene. No notes I need to get ont adding more places for leaves to go!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! So happy you enjoyed it!

I love the cutscene and the vibe! The music is really cool too

Thanks for taking the time to play and comment! Glad you enjoyed it.

nice game XD

I played until I finished all 3 trees got all leaves.

I noticed some bugs where some ants got stuck on 63120 sap rate, trees 3, branch 27, ants 28, ant speed 9.

probably it went overflow or something?

Submitted

other probability is race condition where many ants queued to place leaves for the same index

other than that,I'm not really sure

Developer(+1)

Thanks for taking the time to play and leave feedback! Yes a couple of technical issues have ben reported. So I know now what need to fix in future development. Thanks again for the detailed bug report! Hope you enjoyed your time playing.

that cutscene felt so official 😭 nicely done, ive played till the end hoping to see something extra... but alas only a thank you 🤕

Developer

Graced by the Crow himself! Thanks for playing! I'm curious what "something extra" you were hoping for?

HostSubmitted

Probably an extra cutscene 😈

Developer

A closing cutscene would round thing off nicely, If we continue development post jam, I'll have to see what I can come up with!

Submitted

That initial cutscene was really nice, and the gameplay was satisfying and short enought that I didn't feel guilty at all to finish the game. The music was very well designed!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing and leaving you feedback! Delighted you enjoyed your time.

Voice acting for the cutscene was great! I also really enjoyed the comfy music! I will admit I did get a bit bored during the actual gameplay...Wondering if there's anything you could do to customize each tree :3 Overall pretty cute and solid game :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for playing and leaving your feedback. If was to counted elopement at some point, adding more interaction would be  top of the list along with fixing a few bugs for sure.

A very original idea!

Thanks for playing!

This is the first intro I saw with a fully narrated story, I loved it and I thought the incremental gameplay was perfectly balanced for a game jam (which is not easy to do so amazing job!)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for taking the time to play and leave feedback. Yes, this is the 2nd time I’ve made an incremental game for a game jam, and the balancing is certainly a bigger job than I first imagined.

What a creative story, the opening scene felt magical in such an autumn way. The music was outstanding too, and integrated seamlessly with the game. I realized the music progressed as my game progressed, which was a nice treat as well. Thanks to you and your team for creating this magical experience.

Developer

Thanks for you kind words, so glad you enjoyed your time playing!

I really like the game's music and how it's integrated, this is outstanding! The gameplay at first is really satisfying, because of the economic growth and once it gets a little boring to stare, you notice the music kinda reacts to what is happening! That makes it really relaxing to look at. I agree, though, that there should be more interactivity in times of waiting between upgrades. I also had a few technical issues.

I had game freeze a second on a completed branch, that's not a big deal at all. I also had a bug (or a feature) that ants cost has REDUCED once it got over a 1'000'000. The most unfortunate bug is that the ants are just got stuck in the branch at the endgame (I was in 4 branches from completion). Funny though, I actually found how to get around this  by switching in and out the game page, but they get stuck quickly again and at some point it stopped working.

Anyway, I was glad to put my time into playing this! Nice job!

Developer

Thanks for playing and leaving g such detailed feedback! So glad you enjoyed playing.
Yes the short lag when a branch completes is a known issue, the cost going back down occasionally before continuing to get more expensive was a deliberate design choice for balancing the economy.

The music is the standout for my experience. Very relaxing, played all the way to the end without realizing how much time had passed.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for your kind words. Nice to hear you lost track of time enjoying this experience.

This was really good! Excellent introduction cutscene and solid gameplay loop—you had me hooked until the very end. I really appreciated the music here too—that build up was everything! Thanks for making and sharing your game. This is one of my favorites from the jam so far!

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to play and leave feedback. Delighted to hear you enjoyed playing!

My favorite so far. The music is excellent, and I love the way it layered. And the gameplay is the comfiest of comfies. There was one technical issue where the game would lag for a split second upon completing a branch/whole tree, but overall great game

Developer

Thanks for your kind words, so happy you enjoyed playing. Yes that little lag spike is a know issue that’s got me scratching my head.

It's a simple concept executed really well, I like it a lot.

My only gripe is that I probably shouldn't be able to buy a tree if it seemingly does nothing as long as the previous tree isn't done, but it's not that big a deal.

Great entry!

Nice work. Lovely game. It looked good, it worked great. I did find it satisfying to watch the trees get built, but I did wish there was more to do in the game. The decisions felt pretty small in the gran scheme of things, and I managed to max everything out with plenty of SAP left. I did play all the way to the end though, so I did enjoy it.

Nice work.

Good luck with the jam.

Thanks for taking the time play & leave feedback. I’m so glad you enjoyed it & played to the end and got to hear all the music! Yes if I decide to continue development in the future, then I need to add some more things to do on a moment by moment basis, and make it less of an idle game.

My ants for ZOOMING by the end of that! Really cute game and very chill. I love how the music shifts for each level but also as you progress through the levels/trees. Excellent touch! The music at the end of the first tree was hype. It was a little slow in the beginning and wish the whole thing was a little faster. One of the most satisfying things about games like these is feeling like you can outsmart the game and get it to go faster than it should haha. Really solid entry, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the feedback. It's really appreciated.

Interesting mechanics, I really liked the intro, and the music was perfect. Starts off a little slow but it makes sense, the game becomes a lot more fun once you start recruiting more ants and raise the speed. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks for playing, I'm delighted you enjoyed the experience.

SO good! Nailed the documentary intro XD
The music is really well done. Great to see some adaptive music being used.    It starts off kind of annoying and clunky which actually works really well because as it all starts coming together, you really feel the progression. And it translates well to the gameplay to help give you a sense of starting small and ending up with something really epic. Even  the way the music selectively fades out a few parts when you hit pause, is really nice.
Mine also glitched out at the last tree.
Excellent stuff :D
