Thanks for your kind word.
You are right as I do often, I prefer to prioritize my creativity over the theme of a jam. Mostly to keep it fun for me to jam. it does often cost me some lower score, but I don’t mind it that much as I’m usually happy with the entries I produce.
The bees does spin the dice a lot tho, she may be carrying the burden of the theme all by herself! :P
Thanks for trying out the game!
The single-player will be released after the judging period!
Glad you liked it, I do practice a lot to put down my vision in my own style to offer different or unique experience. Stay tuned if you feel that a vibe you enjoy!
I do participate in a lot of jam and usually polish my entries after the judging period to takes comments into account and be proud of the games I release!
Fun fact the player 1 is based on my cat and the curse of the pink shadow, from Okage : shadow king from the PS2… so I made her as “Sally the shadow princess”!
Glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for trying it!
Yeah making the board itself stressed me out but it was what turned out to be the best code of the project, there is still stuff that I need to make works (the four way cross-road have issues for example) but I can expand the play area as much as i want and without more code the player movement would still works okay.
I went record the birds in a park near me, glad you liked it!
Thanks for taking the time to play the game!
You are right about when there is only one way to advance it should be automated!
for the sake of the argument, I’ll try to twist it in a positive way :
-
Making the user press confirm each time does sort of feel like moving a pawn on a actual board game.
-
Before a user meet a cross-road that would lead to two of an opponent panels, the player might want to look at the a the board to check which would have the cheapest fee before it’s too late, if the move be automated the player have to wait till arriving at the cross-road and a person would might forget checking the board due to direction menu showing up and taking priority in one mind…idk explaining like that makes me feel its may a nice sort of an ADHD failsafe when losing focus…
Thanks for taking time to experience the game!
I appreciate you took the time to find somebody to play with and I hope you both enjoyed sharing a game! A lot of people seems to be interested in singleplayer plays, which is understandable!
That’s why I’m currently cooking a solution for single player, that I might be able to release at the end of the judging period!
Thanks you, for you kind words, stay tuned and you should see more game coming up soon as much as polishing previous jam entries (this one and Necrosis Demise from the NES jam are currently both games I want to push further).
